Navy hospital floated to NYC but not used and floated away. Central Park hosptial closed. Peak of event in March which was suppose to be centered in Elhust Queens hospital and folks videod the hospital. . . .not much going on. Are the bodies contagious? People need to say goodby. A whole lot of people had no idea they would have to bury a family member. Planning a funeral can be a heart-wrenching task. Now we are plagued with heartwrenching tasks on a grand scale.

That was a wild time.
My mum died from cancer just before the covid lockdowns. We had pre-planned/paid for almost everything, her cremation, urn, columbarium niche, etc. We didn't get to have her ashes interred/funeral until late July. The engraving on her niche cover wasn't done until August. It took us THAT long and we were prepared in advance. I can only imagine how much more difficult it is to lose someone suddenly right in the midst of everything. Dying isn't cheap. All this cost thousands. Perhaps some people can't afford to claim the remains and have a proper internment. Maybe there is no NOK. Either way, this is very sad.
So can we see the bodies in the truck? I'm not buying this. Wouldn't cremation be of better interest to the heath of the people. I'm unfamiliar with refrigerated trucks; how do they stay cold?
