Great vid Brett, I love the m13, I run it after my normal pedals board with the tube comp and graphic eq always on to add level and sparkle. Love using the expression pedal to adjust reverb level on the fly. The tube drive is my favourite drive two, sometimes I use the exp pedal to roll between a rhythm and lead tone seamlessly. Highly underrated pedal
love the tone of the amp with no fx, wah sounds great, the weak link in my set up at the moment and mission on the radar. I'm surprised at the line 6, pretty nice too. The Smitty looks and sounds amazing. sounds like a fun gig, out door gigs are best for watching or playing. Have a good time
Ive always wondered what the rest of your studio room looks like. Impressive is an understated understatement . Enough WOW in there to drive someone insanely jealous if one were susceptible to such things. Pretty darn cool setup man. Always enjoyed the versatility of the Line6 gear. I still keep a POD XT Live around: Ive never run out of interestingly useful ways of incorporating it into my analog rig. Have a good show: if Im not too late.
Hi Burgs: nice demo as always. I just finished setting up my pedalboard today and it has the same components :) Comp, TubeScreamer, Overdrive, Distortion, Echo (TC flashback I love it), volume pedal, Wah, Chorus/flanger. I added an octaver and a Polytune (great stuff TC !). Good luck for your gig man ! And greetings to Elizabeth and Suds Cheers from Paris \m/
Hi Brett, love your demo here, I like your sounds What are your views on the M13 in 2022 as a good cheap pedal board option? Currently considering an M13 as a gig unit so I can leave the more expensive gear at home. Have seen you demo a heap of other units since this video was made. Thanks mate.
The M13 was good then and it still is now. It's a totally useable and great tool for a guitarist. We have to realise that all we try to do with any of this gear, cheap or expensive, is manifest the tone in our head. More often than not that comes down to technique, judgement and skill, seconded by a big gap by the gear you use. Most proficient and confident players lean on their skills rather than the gear; meaning: no matter how much you spend or invest in guitar peripherals, you'll still sound like you at the end of the day. So the M13 is a cool platform - for anyone - to dial in some sounds to sound like themselves.
@@timothy5974 Hi mate, I ended up going for the Boss GX-100 after I missed out on that M13. If you can pick up a decent M13 for a great price, seriously consider it.
That is a LOT of cool gear! Neatly arranged I might add. I'm surprised you don't have any marshall amps other than just the combo. Figured you might be a plexi guy lol. I see the laney's and the jet city's. Great taste in amps. I take it you tend to favor a certain type of overdrive/distortion seeing what you have in your collection.
Dont really see why some people say the m13 sucks on the drives. Because its an old fx pedal it doesn't have someof the nicest and latest pedals, but the one in the m13 sound good.
I put up my M13 up for sale, but after checking this video out....I am having doubts about selling it....your drive settings sound beautiful...Post the amp were there any eq settings done on the audio interface if you remember ....or was it just the eq settings on the bass man and the m13?
I love this clip ... great camera work too ! Not taking advantage of the M13 Scenes Mate, or have you moved on from this unit by now being slightly old'ish ?
Best demo I have seen of this pedal! Exactly how I will set mine up when I receive it. Thanks!
Picked up an M13 yesterday. Looking forward to getting to know it better. Great video :)

Bought one of thes M13's and never used it, now seeing this has me interested in pulling it out of the moth collection and having a play!

Great run demonstration of M13.
Nice 'Light Rig' advice, again ! Cheers Mr. Kingman.
The line 6 M series has some killer fx.
Just an overall great tone. That Smitty is on point too!

@@BrettKingman thanks for taking the time to respond. Excellent advice 👍
Have you made the purchase? What do you think about it? I’m thinking about this as well.

Classic distortion is modeled after the RAT. More tweakable than the original.
Hi! Great video and tone! No 4 cable method?

I liked when you said "Laney boys, love those Laney's.
Excellent demo as always, but hot damn Burgs, I never realised how close you live to me!
Haha. TOO close? :)
Just wondering if you’re using the M13 at all. I have an M5 that continually shows me it was an excellent purchase.
Great sounds. Your guitar is also exceptionally in tune. Do you use Feiten tuning?
I love this clip ... great camera work too !

comp+tube driver/bridge pup is the BEST sound. i know it sounds stupid but i would use it for everything
that Mission ReWah is sweet.. but a bit pricey.. nice light efficient setup Burgs!
Is that the Laney Lionheart L20T on the top behind you? If so how do you like it?
I wish you could let us know how you hooked the cables into this. I assume you didn’t have all these effects running into the front of your amp?
M13 and wah straight to the amp if I recall correctly. A Bassman does not possess an FX loop.
Wow! That is a 'studio tan,' for sure! Before you put that thought bubble on there, I thought you were wearing white socks! :|
Haha! Studio tan...I honestly thought you were wearing socks.
i thought you were wearing socks!! lol
Gee. I though you would take the Carl Martin Quatro. But that's not as flexible.
