This is gold! Not noodly rubbish that won't work. Real gems here. My Ving Tsun teachers were taught by Wong Shun Leung and they preach the same message ... when it comes to the fight, fanciful, soft, so called "internal" techniques will not work ... we need SIMPLE DIRECT AND EFFICIENT motions with real intent! Excellent!
Thank you so much Master George for these videos! I find them really useful to better understand the essence of Gong fu and they help to understand Chinese thought for us Westerners. Much confusion comes from the misunderstanding of the sifu theory.
Sifu George, on the big, small, no movement, could the could it be understood as big movement, to small movement to no movement speaking toward the 3 levels of training levels of mastery to "great accomplishment"? Or rather the 3 systems of training i.e, external, exteranl-internal (like xing-yi quan)to internal (yi-quan)? I would appreciate any correspondence. Thanks.
Don't think and philosophise too much. Standing, connect up, get lower and then get ppl to push you. Then try shili. That is enough for most. The top people just stand and you can't push them and you actually get pushed back. Nothing moves externally except you. Even this basic level is hard to find nowadays but only takes a few years of training
Perhaps, for a new beginner ,what you are telling can not be understood!!!! I suggest if you really want to contribute something for Yiquan and for Giant Master Wang. You should explain: Why Standing and don;t move, whats inside, the theory(s) and the method(s). Modern Martial Artists are all punching and kicking around with body physical ......(Why so different) What is the meaning of Yi in practicing, and why ??????.... Yiquan is the only way to open up our basic instance from very special spiritual methods and training. And, most of the Yiquan teachers are wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its true these are advanced concepts but let me tell you. Before you reach that level where you need this understanding you will understand your questions. No need for master Xu to explain. Train and you will know. Master Xu, thank you for sharing your deep knowledge of neijia and yiquan!

Does Master Xu train open-door students? Thanks
To a limited degree, yes. To get closer contact, I suggest joining the patreon group. And thank you for asking and for the comments.

These kinds of knowledge about fighting are too deep for the average person like me, but extremely helpful for high level of fighting 😂
