We have known since Shrek 2 that Charming’s mother was Fairy Godmother, but today we are working out a theory that reveals who Prince Charming’s dad could be. Who is his father? I think by looking at Charming's face and the way he has his hair. I would think that his father is Lord Farquaad.
Maybe Fairy Godmother stole Charming as a baby and convinced him to believe that he was her son.
I honestly thought as a kid that Charming was Arthur's dad cause they looked too much like each other. This makes a lot more sense
Fun Fact: Rupert Everett, the voice of Prince Charming, was auditioned to voice Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, but Richard White had a way more strong and handsome voice, plus, he's also an opera singer. So Everett was easily outclassed. No wonder he voiced Charming, they both never had Happily Ever Afters

I was confused because I initially wondered why Prince Charming wasn’t married to Cinderella, but I’m on board with the theory that Cinderella is Prince Charming’s real mother and King Charming (a.k.a Charming Sr.) is the father. After Fairy Godmother helped Cinderella achieve her happily ever after by going to the ball and marrying Charming Sr., she reminded Cinderella of the condition that her first born child would be given to her in return, like a rapunzel or rumplestiltskin kind of deal. It’s very plausible that Prince Charming was adopted by Fairy Godmother.
As a kid I didn't question the absence of Charming's father. I mostly noticed how he looked so proud of being spoiled rotten by his mom, so he must have not cared of having a father.
Better question is how come Prince Charming isn’t a fairy like Fairy Godmother?

I thought the original Prince Charming was his father as Fairy Godmother called him “Junior.”
His Father is King Handsome and his Grandfather is King Sexy.
My theory about Charming he was artificial created by fairy godmother
Charming being a bastard son in the Pendragon family line whose mother is obsessed with him becoming king sounds like a very reasonable and typical story line. It is now my new headcanon.
I think you should take the first movie into account. When Farquaad wants to be king, the Magic Mirror tells him he can be one-not through bloodline-but by marrying a princess. That’s the whole plot of the movie-to get the princess so that she can marry Farquaad and he can become king (Harold also married into a royal family; Shrek did, too). So why does Charming have to have hidden royal blood? He doesn’t. He could become king by marrying Fiona, which is exactly what I think Fairy Godmother had planned. I think FGM was the witch who enchanted Fiona so that Charming could rescue her and marry her. So, I don’t think Uther has to be the father.

Also when she gives Harold says “you can’t force someone to fall in love” and she hands him the love potion she says “I do it all the time”
Halfway through the vid I realized this theory involved some incest. But these are royals, why am I so surprised.
