How to use a Medela Lactina breast pump

Our WIC staff will show you how to assemble, clean and operate a Medela Lactina breast pump in this video. The Johnson County WIC office is able to provide breast pumps to eligible WIC clients who are returning to work, only providing breast milk to their baby, or having difficulty breastfeeding (e.g., baby won't latch on, baby is ill and cannot breastfeed, baby is in the NICU, increasing milk supply). Do I wash the cylinder/ piston after each use ?

Thank you for the question! You do not need to wash the cylinder/piston because it does not touch the milk the baby will be drinking.
