BR black returns to Rheidol - No. 8 Llywelyn - 2023 Photo Charters

Great Western Railway 1923 built 2-6-2T Vale of Rheidol Railway Number 8 was repainted during October 2023 in BR black and regained its name given to it during British Railways days 'Llywelyn'. The livery matches in with the beautifully repainted blood and custard rake.
Two days of photo charters were held on the VoR during early November in mixed autumnal weather, with the first day offering strong winds and heavy periods of rain, although the afternoon gave some breaks in the rain with some shots around the approach to Devils Bridge station possible. The next morning saw a beautiful period of morning sun, made more atmospheric with low hanging cloud.

I’m a regular visitor to VoR once every 15 years and every time I get No.8 in black so I’ll give it a few years before I go again! I also visit the Cumbres & Toltec in Colorado every 10 years and always get 489 on that line. Amazing I had 48 class 50s for mileage and over 270 Brush 4 s

Are these charters organised by the railway or are they done by a charter company I know 30742 have done some there in past
