The raising and lowering of what we call "the Blue Bridge" is not at all rare. There is a shipyard further up the Inner Harbour and the bridge deck lifts for any vessel that is taller than the clearance of the bridge. It's cool to watch, but after seeing it 500 times, it gets pretty routine.
