I've had mine nearly 2 years. The liner began to tear so I had to order a new one, which was $70.00. Changing it out was a bit fiddly, but I managed it and let me say I'm not mechanical in the least. Upon removing the old liner, I found wet, clumped cat litter. It was going to stink no matter how well I cleaned because it needed a new liner. If you see tears, replace the liner. I'm hoping that they will improve the thickness of the liner. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it. I feel it's worth every penny.
Timely review. Our original Litter Robot just made one of its last rotations. I’ve nursed this 8 year old along for about the last 6 months. A new LR-4 will be purchased today - 100% from your review.
I purchased a Litter Robot about a month ago to replace my fading Littermaid. I have used a rake style automatic litter box for decades but have had to replace it every few years, the last time being 2 years ago. I had heard some positive stuff about the Litter Robot just before getting my last littermaid but couldn't quite get over the price. Two years has changed things and there are fewer "good choices" in the mid-priced range. Every list rated the Litter Robot very highly. After determining the machine itself was about a dollar a day if it lasted only 2 years, I decided to take the plunge and purchased the Litter Robot 4. I do expect it will last longer than 2 years and have found the switch to be a good one. I did find I had to remove the litter guard before my larger male cat would use it, but now both cats are very comfortable with the box. I also appreciate the added information on weight and visit frequency. My male cat is just over 16 years old and keeping track of this information is helping me monitor his health more closely. Your earlier video is one of many I watched to help make my decision - thanks for the update!!! 😺😸
I have had my litter robot 3 for almost 6 yrs. I’ve had to replace parts a few times but I would say I’m total I’ve spent less than $300 on maintenance. For me it was totally worth it. I’m looking to upgrade now to the 4
Thank you!! This was so very helpful!! I spent $200+ some about 3 years ago for the pet safe automatic litter box without doing any research and that was such a waste of money! So before spending $700 I really needed to do some research and this we exactly what I needed!! thank you so much!
This litter is excellent, however do not buy it if you have cat with chronic diarrhea, it will spread inside like peanut butter and you will have to clean even more than a regular litter because the app does not allow for more than 30min delay, which is not enough for diarrhea. If it was not from a custom script in Home Assistant to bypass this limit I would not be using it, but for healthy cat, it is so good. I have mine for 5months now and I've got zero problem, no stock in cycle or anything.
So expensive for a cat. It is not worth spending all that money when you can just use a normal litter box & turn the box manually yourself to separate the litter from the sand.
Glad to get an update, so often people do reviews but then you wonder if they continue to be happy with the product!😊
Thank you 😊
I have one and I agree. Easy to clean. No smells. Saves on litter. Worth the money, no doubt
Best decision I made 😊

That is awesome! 😊 I’ll be a lifelong litter robot owner too.

I have experimented with longer delay because my boys pee a lot. It helps. Glad yours is working great. Mine is too. 😊

It’s extravagant I agree, but it takes one thing off my list of stuff to do (scoop the litter) and helps my anxiety 😊
Laziness in America is at its Apex.😂
Sure beats scooping 😊
I'm allergic to cats but I love mine so this for me is a must. I'm also assuming this is great for people with asthma
@@elbubulubu Yes that’s a good point. Plus it keeps everything much more sanitary for us and the cats. 😊
