- I have a new way to make our waterfalls more durable. I hope you all enjoy this tutorial.
My daughter Aliyah has published a children's chapter book called Jack's Life.
If you would please support my daughters dream and purchase a copy on Amazon, I would greatly appreciate it! It is available on paperback and Kindle. I have attached the link right below.

Miriam, such a great instructional video. I am creating a small waterfall and needed this type of instruction. Thank you!!
You are very welcome! 😁
Awesome as always, love the ripple effects. Thanks so much Miriam!
Thanks so much! 😁
Miriam, I really like the idea of the waterfall inserted into the rock. The entire scene looks so realistic with the picnic area, horses and the added greenery to accent the entire beautifully created rock surroundings! Very well done!!! Your making this year's contest difficult to judge with so many wonderful ideas to assist the competition...I love it!! 😂😊😊
Thanks so much Robin! 😁
You are so talented, I can only hope to rise to your level one day. You’re the bestest👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you so much. I’m sure you will! 😁

Good morning, Miriam. Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Norma. You have a wonderful weekend. 😁
Thats really cool the way it has turned out ,some great tips there that can be used for good effect .excellent work many thanks .
You are very welcome!
We have had a Christmas village for about 12 years but we have always just laid the houses on top of their boxes. Well this year I found your channel and I am on a mission!! I just put plaster on my very first platform tonight and can’t wait for it to dry so I can paint. You’re so inspiring and break down what can be an overwhelming craft task to make it so simple to understand the steps. I can’t wait to set up our village this year with its new enhancements :)
Wow, thanks so much for sharing that Michelle. I’m so glad you are taking on a new project. Let me know how it turns out when you’re all done. 😁
Thank you! I will :)
Looks fantastic!! Well done Miriam 😊
Thanks so much. 😁
This is amazing!! 😊
Thanks Judy.
I was so excited to see this tutorial!! Yes, I should have told you it will take about a week to completely dry and turn clear. What I really like about this technique is it seems to be more realistic. You are right, its more durable this way. Styrogoo is amazing. Thank you for telling me about it a while back. It really does work for everything!😂
I am waiting for your new tutorials. I have all my platforms done. I'm making a removable river for one of my buildings.
I’m glad I waited and gave it time to dry. I did like it either way but I wanted to be able to report to everyone in the video.
Girrrllll, my village videos are so delayed. I am making another water feature and it is taking forever. I might just release the video without the water because otherwise it will take another week to finish everything up. 😂🤣
@@MiriamsManner Elmer's ...Clear...glue!!!! Worth a try. Curious to see how it sets. Oh "please try!"
@@MiriamsManner oh no! Get the family to help set up! They do take quite a while to dry. I'll be here waiting when you get it done. 😊
I haven't done any water features yet and am excited to try. Thanks for the waterfall video. Do you have a instructional video on making the lake portion?
Hello, yes, I have several videos that show that part. I will send you some links.

Do you have a tutorial for how to make the frozen lake? Thanks your are a blessing.
I do but I did it in a members only live stream. If you join as a platinum member, that gives you access to all the previous content.
❓ What do you think of Elmer's Glue offering a "clear" version of glue to their collection?
Hey Faye,
I don’t like Elmer’s clear glue for villaging. I think it is great to use for craft projects but o don’t like it for styrofoam. The white glue will dry completely clear if you give it enough time.
I've seen folks using the clear Elmer's for water features in their village. Would you use it for the same feature?
Oh, I see. I have never used the clear Elmer’s glue but I would imagine it would look good. I might have to try that some day.
Hi, will the video for the full "mountain" / piece be released and when?
No, not for this one. I do have other mountain tutorials.
Love this technique. Can water effects be used to create the lake as well as the waterfall or is realistic water used for the lake?
Hey Linda, I used the realistic water for the lake.
❓Is it essential to insert a "resin water feature" in our villages in order to win in any contest category?
Not at all. You don’t have to have a water feature to win. Especially if you have a bold statement in your village.
@@MiriamsManner Cool!
Hi Miriam, do you build your Christmas Village from the back to the front or from the front to the back?
Hello, it depends on if I already have everything built in advance. If I do then I go from back to front. If I am building things to scale one piece at a time then front to back.
It also depends on what table layout I do that year.
Love this and watching closely but could u help an olde lady out with products!!!?? the lake is made with the Realistic water and the waterfall is made with Water Effects?? Am i correct before i order???? Thanks a million for any help with my attempting a lake this season....
Yes, you are correct. 😁
Is the water effects water soluble?
Yes, it is water soluble. 😁
@@MiriamsManner Great to know, thank you.
