    WOW! Enjoyed this new demonstration with these new tools. I could tell timed saved with these tools. Your traditional way is still great due to affordability. It's your practical way of creating landscapes that helps beginners, like me feel inspired without being overwhelmed just pure fun! The tools are cool though (next level) lol

    Great video. What is your preference using hot wire or plaster to make your platforms. I recently using a hotwire for my platforms and i loved how they turned out. could you do a video making brown mountains platforms?

    • @MiriamsManner
      @MiriamsManner  2 роки тому

      Thank you so much. I’m not sure if I have a preference, I love the look of both for platforms. I usually lean more towards the plaster to have bulky rocks for a mountain.
      Here is a video link below for a brown mountain I did a month ago.

    Hi Miriam. How are you? I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Thanks for the tips in this video. I really like how you created the steps. I'm gonna take your advice on the foam cutting that you always recommend. I bought a different kind from Amazon and it melted on me right in the middle of creating my rock formation 😫. I'm so not taking that route again. Thanks for everything and I'm looking forward to seeing your next video.😘👍💕💕

      ThNk you so much! I had a wonderful thanksgiving, thank you. I cooked way too much food though. 😂
      I have replaced 4 hot knives at this point and I’m done buying cheap hot knives too. I wasted so much money.

      it’s funny I was telling my mother how it would be wonderful if we were neighbors she laughed and said that we would have to start collecting styrofoam now and we can share with her as well since we would be right next door lol 😂 I told her we’re not moving it’s to hot out her way lol 😂 hope you had a fabulous day and say hello to your family as well and fyi thank you so much 😊

      Thank you very much, that is very sweet of you! I had a relaxing birthday which is exactly what I needed.

    • @MiriamsManner

      I have used so many different types of plaster strips. So far, Michaels has a brand with a yellow on the package that has the best plaster strips.

    Hi Miriam,
    This is my first village build
    The Dept 56 pieces I purchased use 120v but in Malaysia we use 230v. Help 🙏🏽
    I can’t plug my pieces directly into the wall as my buildings maybe damaged. Can you please advise what I should do. Thank you very much and God Bless.

    • @MiriamsManner
      @MiriamsManner  2 роки тому +1

      Hello Valerie, you can buy an outlet converter that plugs directly into your outlet and then plug the dept 56 piece into that. If you go to your hardware store, just tell them you need an outlet converter for US 120v plug.

    Hi Miriam! I am having so much fun playing with my HWFF tools - I sent you an email with photos and questions, but perhaps you didn’t get it?
    I’m wondering how you remove the thin plastic film from these large foam boards? I thought it would peel off easily, but it’s coming off in tiny strips and pieces and it’s driving me crazy.
    It’s going to be my Snow Village base, so mostly covered with “snow”, but there are a few spots where I want to glue on some landscape formations and I don’t think they’ll adhere to plastic. Maybe I’ll anchor them with toothpicks instead.
    Thanks in advance!

    • @MiriamsManner
      @MiriamsManner  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Ring, I am so happy to hear you are having so much fun with your tools. I did respond to your email last Thursday. Maybe it went to your spam folder. I just forwarded the original email I sent you.
      If you peel the paper off slowly, it comes off in larger sections. Someone also told me they used a hair dryer and peel it off and that worked great for them.
      You are right, the pieces will stick better long term if glued styrofoam to styrofoam so you really want to take off the liner.

      The hair dryer sounds like a great tip - thanks! And your email reply WAS in spam, so thanks for that as well. Back to creating after this week at the beach with my brother and sister. 😃

    Hi there! Miriam, sorry to bother u this way but I don't know any other way to get to u. Last month I bought on line the HFWW free hand router since I did liked it very much at your demos. No way to get anything similar here in Spain so as I said I ordered it on line (preeeety expensive shipping costs) The thing is that it doesn't work at all, not even the green light would appears. I know for sure it is not because of the voltage because I've had many times US electrical items working properly over here. Running out of time and I'm wondering if you could help with your HWFF rep. Thanks a lot.
