My mother had a 2012 cruze eco that you would have to roll into the throttle to give the 1.4turbo time to spool up. It had very decent acceleration once it learned a driver's habits over time and the computer would adjust accordingly.
Trying to use it like a 4x4 system in 4Lo when it's AWD is rather stupid. You can tell when people have no experience in off-road driving with either system. The all-wheel-drive activ trailblazer is more capable and is actually quite a nice little vehicle.
I have been looking at the Chevy Trailblazer I want one to tow behind my motorhome so I would need a FWD to tow with my tow dolly, do you recommend getting the FWD?
I don't think this could compete off road against even a VW Tiguam because the engine is too weak. Gee, GM, would it kill you to give the customer 4 cylinders?
Just subscribed. You’re pretty thorough and knowledgeable. I’m kind of liking this little Trailblazer. I like the AWD system in the Jeep Compass/Renegade better, but there seem to be some pretty serious quality/reliability issues with those vehicles. Tons of TSBs. I would love a Jeep Compass with better quality, just not going to happen though I guess. This seems like it would be a fun car. A bigger, NA engine would be preferable, but not in the cards for now. I prefer smaller vehicles, for their handling. This could be the Miata of SUVs; light and tossable. Love that they have an easily accessible button to turn the traction control off. TC can really work against you in some conditions.
The gold bowtie is tradition and is iconic! Just because something has been around a while, doesn't mean it is dated. I wouldn't even consider buying a chevy wo the gold bowtie.
135 horses ...hope you don't get whiplash .......Mazda CX-5 turbo = 256 hp/ 320 torque , the Mazda would suck that Chevy up it's intake and spit it out the tailpipe....BORING !
just get a Jeep Compass you don't have that little tiny engine like that and you get true four wheel drive options and get better gas mileage better suspension I would never support Toyota and Honda and more other junk
Better All Terrain tires would help some...The RS is more of a Sport package. The better off road model is the Aktiv.
True and even the Aktiv doesn't have full all terrain tires, put full all terrain tires on and it would do better off road
The Chevrolet Trailblazer Activ trim would do better, since it has a more rugged design
If you take traction control off, it will give you more power to rear tires faster. Essentially 50/50 split.
Nice video! Thanks!
It's unfortunate Chevy cut corners with the suspension as the rear is a torsen beam and isn't fully independent.
Mazda has done the same on their 3 and other vehicles built on that platform. CX-30 and CX-50.
@@davidwollpert5276 That's interesting, thanks for the info!
@@JCTiggs1 I find it unfortunate as well.
In turbo cars, roll into the throttle for no lag
Completely baffles me how so many of these supposed expert reviewers always get this wrong.

I have a 2023 Blazer RS. for the hands free tailgate, you kick in and out not side to side underneath the kick sensor
sounds like you just frequented a burrito... heartburn or somerhing..
Could I expect the base LS trim to perform off road similarly to the RS presented here?

Trailblazer, Tracker or Montana? The best? 🤔
I have this car I drive it off roading in the mountains. You just gotta learn to drive it with technique.
so sounds like its best for freeway city driving

1.2 or 1.3 Litre (3 cylinder) engine. Why the fuel consumption is similar to 1.6 or 2L engine (4 Cylinder)?
That car was the 1.3 engine. You have to push hard on the gas to make it go so fuel economy is not great.
Does the steering gain weight as increase speed?
Not so much
Chevy TrailBlazer vs Jeep Compass, want to see a shootout.
Jeep compass is a Huge disappointment - the Chevy trailblazer is Surprisingly Good
Off road jeep wins . Style chevy
@@jeffreycope7981 compass is less offroad than trailblazer
@@jeffreycope7981 They haven't made a Jeep since '86....
This will give my ZR2 a run for it's money off-road

Chevrolet does offer color options with some cars. You can get a gold or black bowtie on one or two of their truck models too.
The hands free opening for the hatch won't work because you have too much sunlight where you are at that time
Nothing like a bloke from california giving a poor review 😂

33 grand?? For a rusty chevy? Hahahaha
Heck of a lot nicer car than any KIA.
Ford Edge is a way better vehicle imo. NA 3.5 v6 version.
well yeah its also 50k lol
The rear end looks rather old school Cavalier. Not very well designed...
Disagree it looks as good as any other croossover.
