How long do you spend doing research for a paper? Of course it depends on the subject, but do you tell yourself to spend only three hours, for example? I find that if I don’t set time limits, I end up in an endless search for information. Maybe there is a different and more effective approach that you could share. Great presentation!

An easy way to split your screen is to go to Window/Tile window to right (or left)/ then click on the other window you want on the opposite side. It works for Mac but not sure about Windows :)

Hey Chelsea, I just have a question... In my University, we never get an Assignment per se. Some supervisors will give you a topic and tell you to write about it, and that's it. Some (like mine) would just tell you to write a RP with very little guidance if any. I chose a topic about formative vs summative assessment, and he accepted it but I really don't know what to do about it, it's such a broad topic. Do you have any tips?

I'm doing this, but the professor of the class doesn't give me all that information to use. I get a couple of things to write a minimum three page essay on something that one page is more than enough. He dings me on not having three pages. Where do I get all the non applicable feeler stuff to add? I'm six classes from my bs in finance, and this one is harder than yours shows. So, does anyone have any ideas on how to draw out an essay paper to give a man who lives by keeping things short as possible? The rest of my APA style is amazing, he keeps saying.

Do you have any videos for new students? I see what you're doing here, and I understand why. I'm a newer student only in my second semester of college, and though I don't exactly find this confusing, do you have any vids that talk about simple papers? Example: My Psy teacher put out a research assignment, it needs to be in APA 7th, but it legit can be about anything regarding Psy. I don't need an abstract, just a title page and the actual research assignment + reference page. She is not asking for us to include anything fancy. Do you have any videos that summarize this?
Hi there! So I always recommend including an outline whether the assignment is large or small (it doesn't have to be a complicated outline). I actually have a video posting this Sunday that might be perfect for you. Definitely come back around 9am Sunday PDT when the video is posted. (this will help with outlines and why they're so important).

Absolutely! Any paper you write under APA formatting can follow a similar outline of using headings and subheadings. I actually recommend always using an outline because it makes the writing process much easier and efficient!
