One of Marty's best solos? Probably making a huge statement given how incredible Marty is, but the way he paces and phrases this masterpiece solo is fucking out of this world....the pauses and accents ahhhhhh

Marty's part in that solo is just unbelievable. The feeling that guy put in every single note. There are no filler notes in his solos. He doesn't waste a second.
I love the parts at the start where dave adds a slight pause in the line and you can hear the music in the background. At 0:36, 0:46, and 0:56. (and again in the second verse before the solo)
If the collection of all Megadeth songs was a mountain, this would be the definite peak!

Dave Mustaine is brilliant, not only as a guitarist but also as a composer of great metal tunes!
back in 1990 I played the heck out of this album on my guitar (Peace Sells, too. I like Chris Poland's solos, too). That and Metallica AJFA and prior. Nothing like Marty's playing, though. It takes you to a couple levels closer to Heaven.
My parents must have loved me, because I also played, too. Mixed in some Rush with the set.

Most underrated song from this album, IMO.
Marty, the little 21 year old guitar dork, wrote a bunch of these EPIC solos just improvising on his Kelly in the studio. This is one of the best albums of all time, and is pretty much bar none what got me playing lead guitar. Megadeth OWNS Metallica

The old man's laugh at the beginning is what really sells it for me.
That intro.... is so cool. The first 12 seconds of it, without the laugh, is the perfect music for any late-night club to play.

According to AllMusic critics, there is. They gave 4,5/5 to Rust in Peace in their review (which I think is fucking ridiculous, because should be 6/5). Meanwhile, every album Metallica release they always gives decent pontuations, and mostly even more than the record really deserves. I do like Metallica, but I don't understand why the critics always figure something out to put Metallica releases ahead from Megadeth ones, technically speaking.
