I Thought I went through every song on this album (even the bonus track) until I came across this song. I was like "ok, I'll just listen to this song because I haven't listened to it before." So I did. It exploded in my face I had no idea what was coming up. It's like one of the best songs I've heard by them!!
What a genius solo, full of ideas, condensed in only 30 seconds. Marty is the greatest.
That first riff though! Reminds me of faster and more technical early Iron Maiden (i.e. Killers)

Has anybody ever watched behind the music with megadeth? well i think its in the extra footage lars ulrich said that dave calls him every now and then and talks for a while... They are friends now! no more argueing

Megadeth and Metallica are both great metal bands, and very different in terms of styles. The only reason people compare them is because Dave was in both. Nobody compares slayer to Megadeth or metallica

0:55 makes me think of Rush's YYZ drum solo that is only performed live.
The only thing I can find wrong with Megadeths live gigs, is that the setlist is pretty static. Would be nice with some genuine surprises, especially when doing 2+ gigs close to each other geographically. And not just 1 track variation, 15-20% track surprise would be nice.
@flanzashreddah i totally agree, i was actually thinking of both early megadeth/metallica, but really thinking about it they were also pretty different then, oh well still i got 10 thumbs up ?
The main difference, like what Dave said, "To be great you have to do heroin." is the drug use. Megadeath was a band with addiction problems to hardcore drugs and metallica was just drunk the whole time. Both have produced amazing sounds of inebriation.

@bloodmerc620 well im pretty sure its obvious but Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine used to be in Metallica but he got kicked out cuz he was a violent drunk or some shit like that... some stuff about the Mechanix/ Four Horsemen, Kill'em all, and the ride the lightning riff.... and its a pretty stupid reason to argue about it since both bands are over it and have the big 4 shows.

Songs like Wherever I May Roam and the Unforgiven i still listen to.. and i guarantee if you play any rock station for the entire day you will hear the song Enter Sandman, nearly 20 years later, NOBODY wants to listen to Megadeths attempts to sell out, with RIsk and Countdown to Extinction.

Agreed. While they have kinda peaked, they still will always hold 90 song slots on my iPod's heart, along with Megadeth. Death Magnetic wasn't the best, but meh, old age. The real dispute isn't Metallica v. Megadeth. It should be Dave Mustaine leading the frontlines against bullshit "music" like "BABY BABY BABY OHHHHHH".....

Rust in Peace is the best Megadeth album I think. I am a Metallica fan, but this album is WAY better than what Metallica made in 1991-1997 (Black, Load, ReLoad). Trash Metal unite!!!!

I agree with Gar, Nick, and Shawn, but I believe Lars is better than Chuck Behler (however you spell his last name) and About even with Jimmy Degrasso, but yea. The reason for that though is that Mustaine made sure to have actual musicians in Megadeth, not just rock stars. Hence Chris Poland and Gar being Jazz fusion players
Actually Megadeth doesn't have faster songs that Metallica's fastest. Battery, Blackened, Damage Inc., Dyers Eve, and a few others have a higher tempo than any Megadeh song. Poison Was the Cure is relatively slow. It sounds faster because of the complex guitar riff.
Guys... Shut about who's better than whom. If you wanna watch a Megadeth video, watch it. If you wanna watch a Metallica video, watch it. Don't complain about one on another's video. It doesn't do you any good.
