48 this year. My 4 sons are taking me to see Testament and Sepultura... oh and Prong will be there. Wonderful feeling. My old bands are grey like me now.
Almost the same bands I have for the "Savage Seven": Anthrax Exodus Megadeth Metallica OVERKILL Slayer Testament (put into alphabethic order to avoid annoyance!) Cheers mate!!
It set the table for what thrash metal became. Metallica built their rep on the back of the San Francisco metal scene that was ruled by Testament. Then they began to do the mailing their tapes all over the world to spread their music and message. Then they drove Metallica off to New York and BAM! The world has never been the same since. Thanks Testament!
I remember saving up and going on my weekly trip to the mall to get this when I was 15 or 16. It was the first testament album I owned. I must’ve played it about 20 times in a row. Fell in love with them. Still love them at 45.
I remember getting this on cassette back in 88 when I was 13 years old from the Columbia House record club. From the moment I heard it, it kicked my ass. Me and my headbanger friends back in those days used to love to sneak our walkmans to school and listen to this album, along with Metallica, Megadeth, etc. All the other kids who were listening to lame shit like, The Jets and Tiffany would call us evil Satanists cause it was during that whole "Satanic Panic" era. It felt so good to be bad!

My Favorite Testament Song of All time!!!
1:03 reminds me of Exodus' Toxic Waltz, as well as a lot of early Anthrax. Nobody's stealing anything here, I'm just saying it's a got a similar feel.
This was the development of a genre. Thrash bands are all going to feel similar in some way.
Yeah I completely agree.
Sounds like metallica's Damage inc
