      Still worth it in 2024?

    • @sabihco6867

      @@PoHMMORPG for me, it's still worth it. but if you have more budget, i suggest buy the one that's better. (like 650D or 700D, etc...) it has some flaws, iso can only be cranked up to 6400, so taking pics in low light (night photograph) is quite a challenge, the noise reduction and all. the noise begins to show up at 800 iso i believe... so most of the time i just adjust the stutter speed... (if you don't know, iso is like a setting to adjust the brightness in your pics, and noise is like... film grain) the "disease" of this camera is the lcd might vignette if it gets too old or when you don't use it for a long period of time but the battery is still attached and the autofocus might not work, broken, etc... manual focus is fine (mine doesn't work on my kit lens, hopefully it's the lens and not the body that has the problem) despite it, i still love my 600d
      it's a briliant camera, even with a kit lens. well, i bought them in like november or december in 2023 anyway. just give it an ample amount of light, it'll work wonders.
      i believe any camera is a good camera if you are a briliant photographer. my uncle has an abundant amount of really good pics using only his phone, he is a tv cameraman.

      @@PoHMMORPG for me, it's still worth it. i bought them in november 2023 tho. but it has some flaws like: lcd vignette. it's like a smoke effect on your lcd only you cannot remove them and it just gets worse. the vignette often happens because the lcd gets too old, or when the camera isn't being used for a long time the battery pack is still attached.
      and the autofocus. the autofocus (mine) doesn't work anymore. i don't know if it's the lens or the body, but it doesn't work. well, it was slow anyway. because i'm using kit lens. 18 - 55mm. i forgot the details.
      then, the iso. if you only intended to take photos outside during the day this won't be a problem. but the night, indoors, etc however. see, 600D's iso only goes up to 6400. and in 800 and up, the noise begins to show (noise is like a film grain) the higher the iso, the more noise
      will present. you can adjust the stutter speed, but if it goes too low the image you are trying to capture will be shaky. so a low light photograph is quite a challenge, unless you have artificial light or some such.
      is it worth it? yeah it is. for me. but if you have a more money, might as well to buy 650D or 700D... 600D is a briliant camera despite its flaws.
      honestly, i think every camera is a good one if you are a briliant photographer. my uncle can make a really good photography out of his phone camera alone. he is a tv cameraman so he is an expert...
      i commented once but it got deleted somehow, so i reply again

      How’s the quality?

    • @sabihco6867
      @sabihco6867 21 день тому

      @@HarrysAvation hello, sorry for not replying, i replied but it seems like there is a bug...
      anyway, the quality is good. excellent in most condition (unless the room is extremely dim) and you cannot bounce the flash off since it was in a fixed position if you toggle it...
      a lens with low aparture is highly recommended... the noise can be seen from iso 800 - 1600-ish, the iso is up to 12800
      it doesn't has wifi nor bluetooth, so get your laptop with card reader ready. the shutter speed can be adjusted up to 4000. the only problem that i had when using 600D is during indoor event, maybe i did it wrong somehow, but even with a seemingly ample amount of light, it is still requires med to high iso (in most instances the room isn't very bright)
      oh and also, autofocus is extremely slow and unreliable if you use a live view, use the viewfinder instead. it's optical so don't worry about the lag. optical viewfinder does not offer a live view, so if you are adjusting the exposure while using the viewfinder, you can't see your adjustment until you shot it. there is a setting that turns off the live view and goes to viewfinder.. idk how to explain that part, but it helps with autofocus in live view
      sorry for the long response tho hahahah

      Yeah, it is still a great camera that can be found for a very affordable price thus leaving from for investing in other equipments like lenses. As long as you know it's limitations as well as know what you are doing, this camera is still more than a capable camera that outputs great results. Thank you so much for watching as well as for sharing your story/experience, really appreciated it. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)

    Magic Lantern makes this camera even better. Mine is 10 years old, still working just fine, withotu any problem.
    I gave this camera to my sister with a 70-200 odler lens and a Sigma Art 35mm lens (a must have on this camera) to shoot portraits and it still does a pretty good job if you need family/portrait pictures.

    Hi, just wondering is it worth it to upgrade from 600d to 6d with 24-105 f4.0 L lense? Thanks

    • @DavidCuhls
      @DavidCuhls  7 місяців тому

      If you’re planning to use the 24-105 f/4.0 L lens, then the 6D would definitely be a great match for the lens because you’ll get the true focal length and also the full benefit of the lens since the crop sensor will not only crop into the lens but also magnify the optics and it will look slightly less sharp as well… Even though the 6D is bigger but it’s only a little bit heavier but it has better controls as well as weather sealing which will allow you to take the camera with you to more places and under different environments as well. The colour reproduction of the 6D is also better and so as the lowlight capabilities and dynamic range. So overall, I think it’s a good idea. ☺️ But I think it’s also nice to use the 600d along with the 6d as well since you will get different focal lengths without having to invest too much into more lenses and the the 600d also serves as a nice backup as well. ☺️ I hope that helps. I thank you very much for watching, stay safe and have fun shooting! ☺️✌🏻

    Bought it new back in the day. Didn`t like the photos, which where flat and lifeless even with prime lenses.
    I can see that also in the video.
    However, as a primitive video camera it was not bad.

    Does this camera shoot in 4K?

    • @DavidCuhls
      @DavidCuhls  Рік тому +2

      No, this camera does not shoot 4k. It is a very old camera and back then, for this price tag, cameras did not shoot 4k. That said, you can hack the camera to shoot RAW videos or at least with much higher bit-rate for a better and robust video quality if you'd like to do some colour editing and colour correction later in post. Hope that helps, thanks for watching. :-)
