    Just made my first pair for my first grandchild(son) due to arrive early Feb. I really liked your simple 'written' instructions combined with the video ! Extremely helpful for first timers such as myself. However, the size looks real teeny-beedy, so hoping they fit..Thanks very much once again..looking forward to following and doing more of your projects.

    Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. I have been knitting for many many years but this is wonderful for someone who is learning to knit. I can honestly say that it must be a pleasure for them to be able to see the written pattern and the video on one screen. I think you have made a lot of beginners ver happy, Blessings

    Hi iv just knitted these after using your video to start me making these. Thank you soo much. Really enjoyed making them. But they sooooo tiny. Are they for a premature baby? Do you have instructions same but for bigger sizes too. How many extra stitches for bigger sizes please. Thank you x

    Amazing!! Going to try for my mate who is expecting her first in a few weeks and my boss who will be having her second in a couple of months! Quick question- what is the height of the glove before you start reducing the stitches? I.e. how many inches should the knitting measure before you need to start reducing?
    Many thanks!!

      Also sorry - how high is the rib stitch?

      Hi thanks for your lovely comment. I don’t know the measurements before the mitten is finished but I’ll link my blog to the written pattern which should make it a little clearer on how big it will be. www.bundleinabasket.com/single-post/2018/03/06/newborn-mittens-worked-flat

    Hi! I'm a beginner for knitting and would love to make this for my new baby. Could I make this mitten using 3.0m/m needles?

    • @BundleInABasket
      @BundleInABasket  5 років тому

      A 3mm will work but it may come out a little small I would say try my 0-3 months mittens in the 3mm because either way baby will grow into them

    Can a 5 mm needle be used? That's the only yarn size I have right now and I won't have a chance to get more for a few weeks.

    • @BundleInABasket
      @BundleInABasket  2 роки тому

      It’ll change the size of the mittens, making them bigger. It should be fine to practice the pattern on at least

  • @lilal1987

    can i also use the rib stitch on these?

    • @BundleInABasket
      @BundleInABasket  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah sure you can! If you’re doing the single rib make sure you have multiples of 2 and if you do the double rib make sure you have multiples of 4 stitches.

      Agree, it was much too small for a newborn. I used 26 stitches and worked the stockinette 8-16 came out great.
