Magnificent moment for a fearless, persistent artist / group who stood by their belief. So very proud of them.
Great song for women that refused to be told to shut up.
Amen to that...and so well deserved! 🥰
AMEN
Well-deserved! "NOT READY TO MAKE NICE" is a masterpiece. ♥️🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love that little moment when Natalie said thank you to Martie and Emily and that micro pause she made. There was sooo much in it that split second because Emily and Martie were the best support system she had durring that time.
The funny thing is what they said all those years ago would be very mild compared to what’s said nowadays lol
Very well deserved! 💫 I'm glad this was finally uploaded.
they need to be inducted into the country music hall of fame
They have probably the same chance as Motley Crue getting into the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame.
I was a huge Dixie chicks fan back then and still am I remember watching this with my dad who also likes them and he told me they’re only gonna win a couple awards. And boy was he wrong and we were both so happy they won 5/5 Grammys that night ❤
I wonder how all the hateful people feel that they were 1000% right about the two endless wars that accomplished ZERO except to waste how many American and civilian lives and trillions of taxpayer dollars. It did make a few people very wealthy and created tons of new terrorists though so there is that. The “values” and hypocrisy of so-called “patriots” is just too much for me. Will forever support the Chicks (I don’t like the new name for some reason but that’s okay 😊)
Those hateful people don't feel anything. That would require self-reflection, something they're not capable of. They don't care that they're hypocrites, they don't care how many times they're wrong and they don't care who they hurt.
@ so true. It’s tragic right now - seems like all those people are “winning” but I have to remind myself the pendulum always swings and somehow we always make progress, even if it’s small steps and we go backwards sometimes. 🙏
I love the chicks.
The best!
Masterpiece
Well , wow shocking win .. but they shut up their haters in the end......😊😊
I love how history proved they were right about Bush's lies and that pointless iraq war
Dixie Chicks? the Chicks?
Yep.
Why couldn’t she just sing? Why bring politics into a music concert? It wasnt a political rally . People paid to hear music . End of discussion.
So, I guess the music of the late 60s and early 70s would upset you?
@ no i love the 60 and 70 music.
So if those singers/artists can have politics in their music, being that much of it was protest songs or songs about the political climate of the 60s/70s, what's your issue with The Chicks? I'd love to know the difference. Music has a long history of speaking up about injustices. Is it that you don't like their stance. Johnny Cash spoke out against injustices, so did many country artists. Are you against the 1st Amendment?
@ no I’m not arguing. I just like music.
Overrated band for the Grammy
So in your opinion who is not overrated and deserved it?
Their competition for this award was Be without you, Jesus take the wheel, Put your records on and You’re beautiful.
Considering what they had gone through from cancel culture and that this was the best out of the five nominees, I say they deserved this award.
Who is overrated? You mean the highest selling female group in Neilson Music’s history. Yeah…overrated. Great opinion 👍🏻. (That was sarcasm. I feel like I have to explain that since you seem a little dense.)
If by overrated you mean OBJECTIVELY exceptional musicians, sure 🙄
Incredible song. Imagine being black-listed from every Country station in the U.S. (for comments that were ultimately right), than writing this and winning a Grammy. Should make a biopic or movie about it. One of the most deserving Grammy’s. Can’t disagree with you more @tomstar3641
