I’m in love of the 90s impalas/caprices. They’re one of the best full size sedans in America.
In the world
I have to get one some day. They are pretty rare in Poland, however they are very cheap to drive if you add LPG installation :)
That too. لكزس 460
Josh O'Melia I have a 95 SS myself and I fall in love with it more each time I drive it. They just don’t make cars like these anymore unfortunately
95-96 were the last two years for impalas to be in that immaculate body shape. I just was in shocked to see that impala from the video still looks like it was drove off from the dealership showcase. What a car!
Such a simple car, yet so iconic! What I wouldn’t give for GM, Ford and Chrysler to go back to producing the truly large, RWD-based American sedan!...
Maybe you could give them a lot of buyers for the big cars, lol
Yep. People were brainwashed by the whole economical stuff that every manufacturer is now stuffing tiny turbocharged motors that in some case are completely trash. Yeah, save some money on fuel but spend those savings on repairs down the line. Big old motors like this last forever.
@@IKhanNot That is not brainwash, that is economy.
This and the mercury marauder are so badass. It is sad nothing like them exists anymore
@@AUTOLISTAS Lmao, "that is economy". If you're buying a new car, you can afford gas. If you're buying a used car, no manufacturer even cares about you since their not making any money off of you.
That car was called "Caprice SS" during 90's in my country. The sound of engine's RPM was mighty! My father owned one, i remember my classmates were Impressed with it when he was picking me up from school... It was truly American car!
Absolutely. My son had one when he was working in Kuwait. 👍🏾
In my contry, it was called soap, im not really joking, the caprice 1991-1998 was called soap so same thing with the impala
U're the MAN for going back to these old reviews ! Keep up the good work bro
I would prefer for him to this style of review for older or no longer in-production cars he review, then go ahead with the "showcase" style review for newer cars to rack in that dough for himself.
One of my absolute dream cars. This one is ridiculously clean.
Let's go ahead and check out the exterior, shall we?
I like to touch
And the intewior
This and the Buick Grand National GNX are my favourite American cars
David Best dont forget the 84-87 monte carlo ss
mine too,i have a 94 ss and a 87 gn
Ughhhh... I still want one of these every time I see one.
These vehicles are super rare, let alone in that great of condition! Almost all of the ones I see now are either beaten to death/abused, and/or donk'd out with distasteful mods. Thank you for sharing this time capsule with us, Kyle.
Found a 95 in great condition and in the black color too. The guy says he rebuilt the trans a year ago but I'll probably rebuild it again just to be safe
I agree I like those B bodies just the way they left from the assembly line
As a 96 DCM owner I honestly really appreciate the accuracy and quality of the review! Subbed awhile back at the beginning of the 240 build, and the content just keeps getting better. You should definitely pick one of these up for a project when you get done with one of the others.
The last true Impala.
Honestly I would agree the ones after are kind of shitboxes plus front wheel drive... need I say more.
ricochetey you said it all bro.
Much of the newer ones... hell anything Chevy and Buick is putting out these days are nothing but re-badges. No creativity anymore down in Detroit.
MarloSoBalJr yeah it’s too bad.
except my 06 SS with the 5.3 would leave this impala in the dust :/
I was a young recent college graduate when I first stumbled across your page. I watched your older video that you did on a black 96 impala SS obsessively. You honestly educated me so much that I confidently went to a dealership after months of looking for the perfect one, and I can honestly say that I bought a show room condition 96 impala SS with super low miles. I love your channel and you don't know how much impact you can truly have one someone, keep up the great work sir!
*I'm so in love with these Impalas. This was a great video Kyle.* 👍
Beautiful car super 90s classic keep these videos coming bro your doing a good show👍
The best part of Captain Marvel was seeing Samuel L Jackson Drive this car
Nick Fury was arguably the best thing about Captain Marvel.
Thought that maybe the car used in the movie did NOT match the timeline of the movie.... hmmm
fa de movie is set in 1995
Best part of the movie was the box impala and the bbody 94-96 😂😂 those scenes alone sold me
Yeah it was badass that Fury drove that SS in Captain Marvel.
Absolutely love your reviews.. This one is a thing of beauty
This is a great experience with a nice car, thank you Kyle for this video!
What a gorgeous car. I just love the simplicity in the design of this car its just perfect. In that exact color is my dream car. It's just such a beast.
Great job Kyle, love the older car reviews! The Impala SS is a cool ride!
I love how you are going back to the basics of your classic videos!
This is a good mixture of content. Tours and projects.
I’m a simple man. I see sleeper cars, I hit the ‘Like’ button
How you gonna call a car with 260whp a sleeper?
CNVQ take away the spoiler and replace the rims, you wont be able to tell the difference between a regular Caprice & Impala SS. Thats why its a sleeper. Its an unassuming sedan with higher horsepower that people can mistake it for a regular grandpa Caprice.
And no. The term ‘sleeper cars’ doesn’t necessarily belong on 400HP vehicles only. This was 1995, when 250HP on a sedan was considered big numbers, and 400HP was still considered supercar territory. Even the 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B had 276HP. So, if you’re saying this Impala is not a sleeper because it only makes 260HP, then your argument is invalid
Thank you my friend. That was a fun one to watch. Enjoyed it!
Great video!
So glad to see your success Kyle! You earned it. You have my dream job.
Really great video Kyle! I've really grown to appreciate these ol' GM B-body cars, and the SS is no exception! I've been watching your videos since at least 2010 at the earliest and have been subbed since circa 2013 and it's cool to see how many cars you've got to review over your career. As a fellow car enthusiast, I salute you for following your passion for automobiles while bringing us so much high octane fun and reviews! Keep up the great work!
This style of reviews is Aa-mazing! It's even better than the older style in the past! Keep up the great work Kyle!
I got the 96 Caprice. Same car and engine, just more bells and whistles. I love it.
I remember seeing these all over the place when I was growing up. Not always an SS but this body style Impala. I also remember these as police cars.
This is awesome, thanks for bringing back the tb style reviews!
Super cool and amazing as always!
That Impala SS looks cool and awesome! I like it!
I SERIOUSLY MISS playing with the 1996 Impala SS in Forza Motorsport 4, I WISH Turn10 and Microsoft would BRING BACK the 1994-1996 Impala SS to Forza MotorSport and Horizon games!!
Good news - the ‘96 Impala SS will be offered as a reward for completing 50% of the Autumn season in the Festival Playlist in Horizon 4!
@@joshbacon8241 i play that car :)
Awesome video Kyle!
Glad to see you got back into these unique rides. Please keep it up
Kyle uploading a video of my dream car on my birthday...Three videos from my three favorite channels today. I love it!
Squonkiest Happy belated birthday bud
Thanks for another great review! I've got a '94 Fleetwood, and I just wanted to make a suggestion to anyone who has one of these mid-90s LT1 boats...REAR END GEARS! I did 3.73 with limited slip, but wish I'd gone with 4.10 gears instead. I've got the Impala wheels on it with the wide tires, and it still chirps them when going into 2nd at WOT sometimes! Gears are the biggest bang for your buck mod for these, and really wake them up! You'll need to have the ECU reprogrammed because the speedo and shift points will be off, but it's well worth the laugh you'll have the first time you accidentally break the rear end loose and get sideways under what you used to consider mild acceleration with the stock gears.
This car reminds me of my days as a State Trooper way back when.
Bet you miss robbing hundreds of people of their hard earned cash in the form of "speeding tickets"
@@brysonshires9742 Don't speed then
Maybe just a little.....
And we wonder why cops get shot and killed on a daily basis, thieves
Uh yeah, I'm sure that's exactly the reason.....
Well put together and edited as always
I love these kind of reviews like when you first started out showing older vehicles, they’re much more interesting than newer vehicles. Hope to see more!
Super cool, Kyle! Thank you for the fun video!
I ways looking at one of these, Ultimately bought a truck. Loving these reviews coming back!!
I remember you’re roadmaster beautiful low mileage old regular cars for the win.
So glad to see an older car.
LOVE this! .. Wildly popular back in the day … definitely a special car!
The best video about this car for sure!
Awesome that you brought up the Ford Taurus SHO. I have a '95 and love it!
My dad had one when i was 12. We loved that car!
I Love my 1996 Impala SS!!! These are Fun Cars to Drive! I have the DGGM color. Still Running Strong! With 225,243 miles.
Really like the video. We don't get a chance to see many of this generation's SS editions any longer. Thanks for sharing!
Love that your head leans to the side your turning in the car... Today's stabilizer bars your head stays straight...lol!
I like how this generation looks in black but I also really like this cherry color.
Awesome video kyle love that old school impala ss from 94 to 96 :)
What an absolute BEAUT!
Great classic-style video Kyle!! Greatings from north Mexico
So great to see this. It was Kyle's review of the Buick Roadmaster that convinced me to get mine.
Thx, Kyle! I really love the '90s Impalas!
Please more-more videos about the american cars and SUV's of the '90s and early '00s!
I saw all of your videos, but nowadays, you can make more (even HQ) quality videos.
He has this love for old school vehicles from his grandfather......he and his granddad were really close .Easy to see that he beacame a better man because of this closeness. He makes someone proud in heaven....
What a car, man, what a car! Excellent video Kyle! I prefer the floor-shift model from you older video, but I’d never say “no” to a classic review from ya!
Great review, Kyle! Such an amazing car!
Kyle is back with affordable cars again! Yay! Love the video 😍
Love this car, thanks for sharing!
20:22 LOL, this car is so powerful that it can do 7mph with the transmission in park.
Lol that's a weird quirk of all of these and the Caprices with those digital speedometers. They always did that for some reason.
I saw this on their website. You have no idea how tempted I am to call them up and buy it.
Loved these when they came out.
Bro your videos are awesome
A very big heavy car (4,217 lbs). But definitely quick for its size.... Puts out 260 HP w/ 330 lb ft torque (well-balanced) from a 5.7 V8.
Really nice car... Today in 2022, I'd spend about 5 grand on one.
My favorite car ever!!!!!!!! This is THE CAR
Love to see you review a 92ish Taurus SHO with a manual, hopefully I didn't miss that at some point!
That was my first car. Such a gem. Was excited to see regular car reviews did a review on it
Zero bolstering on those seats...and I love it.
Good review!!!
Just bought one! My dream car
Thank you Kyle. This was a good review. It was informative too. It is sad they do not build large cars like this anymore or others. The closet thing is a Cadillac CT6, but it comes up short in the trunk space. We live in a suv or crossover world. I learned something about you as well.
*Sigh*, I miss my old '92 9C1 patrol car, then my personal black '96 Impala SS, that I sold in 2004 with only 44K miles (!)....but I filled the whole in my heart a year later with a 2006 TBSS that I still have. Patrol cars never got any better, though - I beat every Crown Vic in pursuit driving classes with the 9C1. This is the lesson in the whole being more than then sum of the parts. Oh, and +1 on the Lexol - it's always worked miracles over the last 20 years for my cars.
What a Classic! Police Pursuit Special! Love it. Great review!!
I have a 1996 with the same dark cherry paint. Amazing.
Worked with a guy in the early 2000s that had one of these. Drag raced it at the track on the weekends and commuted with it on weekdays.
1996 Impala SS, last rear wheel drive car made by Buick. I owned one with speed governor lifted and got it up to 165 once. Soft tires kept it on the road no matter what the turns. Power.
hey kylem, you still one of the best on youtube, thumbs up
I would love to see you work on one of these cars. I have one myself and I’m still learning about it each time I work on it
Love the in depth review! I’d love to see a 95-97 Lincoln Town car review. I’m convinced itl be a future classic just like that special Roadmaster you had
bassgodcliff I prefer the 95-97 interior but they’re all pretty nice! My grandfather’s 96 was the car I remember from my childhood. That black leather interior and wood trim is timeless
The 95'-97' Town Car is already a classic right with the Roadmaster, Caprice,Impala, Bonneville, LeSabre and Delta 88 smh love those cars💯
That looks so cool.
The entire car is the reason why I want to get my dad's Impala working again after sitting there in front of the garage since my brother was born in 2012
This is a dream car for me, except it would have to be a 96.
Jason Roman What's the difference between the 95 and 96?
The senate 96 was the only year with an analog dashboard and center shifter
love seeing these older cars again. I hope you can find a geo storm and do a video on it.
I always have a soft spot for big full size cars as well, I remember a family friend had one of these cars. He loved it, kept very good care of it. I'm pretty sure he had almost 200k Kms on his, before he was T-boned when on a work trip in the early 2000s, he was quite sad when he new the car was going to be totaled.
Love this video, just as you used to do should do more like this.
I love this one this is one I’ve yet to own
I’ve own 07 08 SS and now a 2015 LTZ
BUT THIS ONE HERE I WANT THIS ONE JUST TO COMPLETE
It must be something in GM transmissions that make the speedo fluctuate while revving it in park, because all my Chevy truck's & Burb's analog gauges do that too.
Fantastic video, Kyle!
Aah, you gotta love the glorious roar from that LT1 V8!!
A local guy is selling a ‘95 near me for 3k with under a 160k miles. Im so tempted, this will be my first car and I love the old impalas.
One of the most legendary American cars out there…
I just love this car.
Just like the old days
I've always loved this car. The greenish gray color is a little less common, and my favorite.
i hve a dggm
Nut'n like a good ole column shifter
Kyle, can't wait for the 240sx to be done. It'll be a beast and you look like a professional with the facial hair man
I Really Like That Style Impala It’s A Nice One ☝️
So no one is gonna talk about that car having very low oil pressure and very high coolant temp?
Logan West could be sensor issues
As well as the slight knock you can clearly hear at idle.
The Lexol leather clean is... not the best, but the cleaner is terrific. I've bought $50 leather conditioner and can say the Lexol doesn't hold up to it in quality, but the cleaner definitely does. No reason to go fancier when Lexol works great!
Not trying to disrespect the sponsor, just tossing in my experience and opinion, thought I would at least vouch for the cleaner.
Kyle you have come out your shell so to speak since I first watched in 2010 👍
Great video i got one last week great car
