Had a few mk2 cavaliers in the early 90s,all high mileage ex company cars with FSH,the engines where bullet proof if maintained, had a really nice E reg 1.6gl saloon in black, also had a white E reg 2.0CDI saloon in white which was a very quick car.
Reminds me of when I sold my GLSi. I was broken, our lass popped the champagne. I loved that interior too, proper lush and plush. At least she's getting fixed up, hopefully we might get to see her out there one day. Look forward to a vid on the wild new purchase 😉
It would, yeh and I’m hoping that’s what happens with the new owner. I just haven’t got the time to do it and tbh, she needed a fair few other small bits doing and it was time to let her go, sadly.
Why leave the silver manta sitting there that cav is nothing to do its a easy job another person without loads of projects sitting there I used to have a sri 130 in red late 90s wish i kept it now but i will be looking for a project in a couple of months when ive finshed welding my mates astra van
I’m currently shopping around for quotes from Bodyshops to sort the chassis welding for me. Once I’ve found somewhere, it’ll be off to have the work done. I usually do all my welding myself, but not where a major structural section is involved. It’s the main front swan necks where the front subframe mounts. Front floors are knackered too. It’ll get done, hopefully quite soon. Watch this space 😎

Had a white 130 saloon back. In 99, had 15" tsw venoms and lowering springs. Was a beast of a car and wish I still had it .
Wouldnt it be possible to replace and weld in that rear panel section? Think I've seen that on the Asconas

Sad indeed i will miss seeing Silvra around also did you ever find out who ran into her and your astra
!I hope it gets restored, it has to be one of the last glsi's out there
Yeh, absolutely! I only know of a couple of GLSi’s and she was the only one showing as taxed before the bump!
