@TheFrenchGlow - If performance is the same between the AP-1512HH and the 200M, then two things to consider are: INTAKE CAPACITY being affected by the small openings of the newer one vs the larger ones (8-total) on the old version - where say a small floating cluster of cat hair may be easily sucked by the former but get stuck on the latter [and] PLACEMENT, where if you set your purifier on the floor the old-style could possibly fare better against a pet trying to mark it, whereas the 200M's inner filter(s) would have no such protection due to the multi-hole grille design. • Great review by the way, cheers!
Looking at purchasing 1 of these air purifiers during the black friday discounts. They are both the same price as of now($140). According to the Coway website the CADR looks to be better on the 200M. 200M: 246 (Smoke), 249 (Dust), 277 (Pollen) and AP-1512HH: 234 (Smoke), 248 (Dust), 232 (Pollen). According to nytimes wirecutter the 200M has a slightly more powerful motor.
I bought the Coway Airmega 200M 2 weeks ago for $129. If you can get it that price, then it is the way to go. Otherwise, they are the same and the Coway Mighty is the choice.
I am about to buy the 200M at Coway website then I checked Walmart it's currently on sale for the black one. Do you have any affiliate link with Walmart I'd gladly want to support you channel.
so which one should i buy if they are the same price? does the airmega consume more since is more powerful? you know which is the older one? cause they are so similar the only thing that makes sense might be one is the restyle of the other.. very ncie video btw ! :)
Hi! Thank you! All things being equal, the coway ap1512 is easier to get filters on sale. That would be the main reason for the ap1512 being more accessible to get cheaper oem filters.
@proview3r & @junowhite2363 = "Their filters and even their faceplates are interchangeable. And like the AP-1512HH, the 200M lets you completely shut off its display lights, something we value highly for bedroom use. The 200M has a square grille rather than a round one, but that’s the only major physical difference." • So YES, as per The Wire Cutter's website review

129 is a steal. I have never seen the Mighty hit that level.
I'm going to get the 200M. Thanks for the video.

@@TheFrenchGlow ok thanks, last lil question, how many m^2 is the size of the room you are using those purifiers?
@@TheFrenchGlow Doesn't the AP1512 and the 200M use the same filter?
Would like to know as well

Thanks for watching!
@@TheFrenchGlow Your review just helped me purchase the Airmega200M. FYI Coway UK has a 25% sale atm.
The 200 was much louder than my Coway-1512HH..
