Totally agree 👍 100per cent 👌 👏 cant remember the season anyway doesn't matter what season you're bang on but everyone one was saying Allan T deserves to be in the England squad for world cup don't know if poor guy was even scouted as in looked at that particular season he had a blinder of a season n it was world cup year but nothing poor guy woulda done a job for England ano we hate most the W⚓R,S. But aye sht what happened to big allan Thomson What a class you where part of Allan Thompson and some of your goals 👏 🙌 👌 👍 Martin Oneill era. 👏 🙌 C.O.Y.B.I.G Y.N.W.A TOI C FAIDH AR LA HAIL HAIL.
That was absolutely Brilliant lads. Alan Thompson one of Celtic’s greats. Being a Gers fan for over 60 years I had the pleasure of seeing a couple of old firm matches that Alan played in when I was visiting family in Glasgow 👍👍⚽️🇨🇦
Loved this! A true Celtic hero 💯💚 always spoke about in our home defo part of the Celtic family and spot on with Martin O’Neil love it thanks for the memories Alan and brilliant interview so glad found this new sub 🥰💚
Another great interview. When I saw the length of the video I wasn’t looking forward to watching it. I couldn’t stop watching once I’d started. Really enjoying the honesty and openness of every guest you’ve had on.
Another great interview John and another one of my heroes Tommo was a sensational player at Celtic, he'll long be remembered as a player who gave his all for the team even if sometimes it led to him being sent off. He had a wand of a left foot and he scored a lot of important goals for Celtic just when we needed them. It's good to see him looking so good and I wish him a long and happy retirement, God bless him and his family.
Bloody brilliant! Even as a life long follower of football, I hadn't realised just how amazing Thommo's career had been! What a lad, and seems properly down to earth too. 👌
Celtic fan, so thouroughly enjoyed that. Thommo was a cracking player for us and scored some belting goals. A wand of a left foot and knew how to mix it as well.
Alan Thompson was my stand out hero during the Larrson, Sutton and Hartson years,One of Celtics most underrated players of all time,A genius, Plus he loved pumping the Huns, LOVED HIM 👌👊💥☘️
superb. watched the whole lot.from a celtic fan, thanks mate ,brilliant player, great coach. as a side note, met you and sutty in the garage london rd, and you signed my garage receipt, cheers for that too. lol.
Was quite young when he arrived at villa Park. Was excited though as was really getting into football at the time, he'd been Boltons best player and was one of the main reasons why they were going good then. I was just waiting and waiting for the game he got really going for the villa but it just wasn't happening...the older family fans were very expectant aswell because as he proved when going to celtic, he was a quality football player. Sad we didn't get to see the best Alan Thompson as we had a good side then, could have been awesome. Anyway, it never worked out but it's good to hear from his perspective and obviously he's gone on to be the best he could with celtic. Perhaps could and should have been utilised more by England too. Still, good player that I wish would have been better for the villa. Good interview and good memories of my youth and being a young villan. 👍
I was in amongst the Arsenal fans (Highbury) when Alan scored a peach of a free kick in Tony Adams testimonial, sometimes you forget where you are in these moments, nearly got a kickin.
Brilliant to hear the stories the insights , how you don't have choice sometimes what happens to you as a player . Just a different level of information well done guys , keep safe and well 442
Quality Thommo. What a Hunskepler you were! A massive part of some of my best life memories! Best of luck in your future career. I was lucky enough to shake the hand & share a few words with the Lions.... hopefully one day our paths will cross & I can shake yours & talk Celtic. Hail Hail!
Great video, well done lads Thommo, a Celtic LEGEND, what a team Celtic had back in the day, Thommo, Henrik, Sutty, Bobo, Mjallby and the rest Was right behind the goal when he scored at Ibrox to make it 2-0 Only time I'd ever seen him use his right foot ;-) Best for the future Alan YNWA
He was a top player Alan Thompson for Celtic i recall and had a good shot on him . Awe the best to him . Quick edit Hey But i recall the 70s this wa s a time Scotland always qualified for World cups and England could not qualify eh 😁 As for having spuds thrown from a height lol, i recall as a young teenager seeing beer bottles full of p-- above our heads from the jungle and god knows where they landed way in front ..crazy days and crushes coming out of stadium carried out without walking at all and in hope and praying to make out of the entrance and not crushed against the wall ..Crazy days was the 70s . As for way Alan Chris and John all left Celtic was not good enough by the club who can be not nice in way they went about things back them days ..Was different when in 70s when i recall going to Testimonial games for Jinky and Lennox both at same time v Man U at Celtic park and Jink throw his boots into jungle at end . But again them guys never picked up big wages as you guys did re Lisbon Lions side and today wages have went over the top in England rediculous with Agents who for me i call the parasites in the game who spoilt what was once known as the Beautiful game as now playes dictate to managers all via Agents and riches in their minds ..Greed spoilt the game and tell me this how many Geordies are in the Newcastle team today ? How mant Scousers are within the Liverpool team today ? i wont bother going on with this likes but some facts are none .. Best Celtic manager easily 1/ Jock Stein 2/ Martin O'Neil although Martin had more £s to spend on team than any other Celtic manager ..Ange Postecoglou is doing very well at Celtic since he came in and time shall tell how he ends up doing but won |Spl title in his very first season with much changes needed in players in and many out door nd he done very well and now this 2nd season as i type Celtic are 9 points top of Spl under his tenure . As for Rodgers i didnt rate that guy at all , he came when rangers were very poor and in Europe he was hopeless with having Celtic defend was his way in Europe when we did not have a good enough defence v good sides ..And he then later left half way through a season with Rangers to play in next game for Leicester ..No time for Rodgers as Greed took him way ..Ange is so much a better manager in all departments and is best purchase Celtic have made in a long time was getting in Ange Postecoglou and i dont need thanks behind my long straight honest post as know facts i say above you guys wont like 😁
As a rangers fan hated him growing up but simply because he was a good player , back then both rangers and Celtic have cracking players feel if they went down th the prem would be defo up top 4 plus look at the support both teams bring week in week out
Rangers mid 90s would have been mid table prem. Same for larsson prime era celtic. Just because they govern their league don't mean they could just walk into the prem and compete at the top. If this is true then why when both Scottish teams were at their very best did neither do any good in Europe? I would love to see an experiment where Rangers and celtic play two bottom 5 teams each, two mid table teams each ( say villa, Brighton, Everton, Southampton etc) and then the top 4 at the time, a game each. How many do you honestly believe either would win? Currently or back when Scottish football wasn't shite?
Rangers and celtic wouldn't get promoted from the championship to even compete in the prem. The bottom 3 prem teams are far stronger than the top three Scottish teams.
Seen alan a few months ago in Glasgow, turned the corner and said look who it is, his face was is this a Celtic or rangers fan? I then said “Celtic legend Alan Thompson” and he had a big smile
I remember the coaches for millwall set off from the away end coz of the queues for Wembley tickets. When John scored the bloke in front fell about ten rows coz we were the last leg of some big accy he had on. Loved Thommo and everything about those days ⚪️🔵🌹
Just loving the new show's lad's, I don't know who's idea this show was but you've on to a winner here. Great to hear about the banter and what happened behind the scenes at the clubs in those days. Great to see Alan can still hit ball's on target 😂😂😂 HAIL HAIL lad's and keep up the great work 👏👏👍🏴
Another great interview and I don’t know how you are going to top this one. Great stores from a wonderful football player. Keep up the great work boys. 😀🏌️♂️🇨🇦
Fantastic player for Celtic loved him and his passion for the hoops wand of a left foot and wen he smashed it u knew 9 times out of ten in would hit the back of the net loved the guy still do all time celtic legend for me ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
Just came across this on my you tube feed and just reilised who the big lad is great play John should have played for Scotland well before he did..... Definitely subbing that's was a good show👍
Tommo will always be respected and admired for what he done at Celtic. Celtic fans never forget a player who played with passion & gave 100% for the Jersey. To score 7 goals against the huns also helps 👌

A fantastic player, so glad we had him at Celtic, always gave %100 and scored some brilliant goals and vital goals, one of the greats.
Another absolutely superb interview, Big Tommo deserved a hell of a lot more England call ups, he was an absolute baller of a left sided player.
Thank you

The stadium with the rock face is Braga. Boavista stadium was in the midst of a total rebuild when Celtic played there in 2003.
