One of my cigar buddies, who had been smoking for about a year, asked me, "How do I know when I am a true cigar connoisseur?" I said, "When you smoke what you want to smoke instead of what other people tell you to smoke."
16:17 So true...I work in a hospital with surgeons and anesthesiologists that have very high incomes. The people who have a Rolex or other expensive watches tend to be more arrogant and difficult to work with (but not always). One anesthesiologist that I have a lot of respect for wears a G-shock all the time. I also don't agree with wearing flashy expensive watches when caring for sick and poor people so I wear a Timex. Plus when you make that much money and you know you could buy one if you wanted one then it's not that impressive anymore and you just go put on your Timex or G-shock and go to work.
Couldn't agree more! Besides, I'm not sure I'd want to drop a Rolex in the autoclave, either. As a side note, I've known more than one professional diver who wears a Sub for flash and a Seiko for work.
These days everyone in medicare wears an Apple watch or a smart watch. The other day when I was in a hospital (haven't set a foot in one for years) I noticed everyone had an Apple watch and at first I was baffled because these people could easily afford Rolexes and Pateks. And then it clicked, the smart watches have all these health perks like heartbeat monitor, blood pressure sensor and now oximeters included. It's like a dream watch for them.
Bruuuh I used to be all about brands, logos, showing off .....with time I have grown out of that shit and now I just rock 80% the Gshock DW5600 and just the rest Edifice and Seiko. People couldnt care less, ladies dont care at all (quality women) I just rock my DW5600 most of the time with my dates and guess what......it just works.
@@treehugger3615 Not quite. The reason is because it's much quicker to view/answer texts then to take out your phone. My friend whose wife is a nurse explained it to me.
I know this is a pretty old video, but I feel the need to thank you for your channel. This is by far the best watch channel, way better than most review specific channels because of this sincere way that you have to behave and not letting the snobs take over. Horology is more than watches, and I can be a horologist wearing a Casio or a Rolex. But in any regards, thanks to your teachings, I'm finally starting to build my proper watch collection. My first swiss piece, a Glycine Combar Sub is on its way in the mail, and there will be more to come. Thank you for your sincerity and your down to earth attitude, TGV. Chao!
Hey there, you know I must confess that the first time I accidentally stumbled across your channel upon hearing your voice and accent my knee jerk reaction was " English snob showing off his expensive watch collection," but, although I'm by no means a collector, I've always enjoyed and been a little fascinated by watches so decided to continue watching. Now I should explain that I've lived in Canada for thirty years but was born and spent my formative first twenty-one years in Scotland so I'm naturally, if not genetically, predisposed to detest snobbery in all forms. Well I owe you an apology, despite your " received pronunciation " accent and intonation ( I'm just kidding! ), you are obviously as far removed from being a snob as can be. A gentleman who doesn't judge by superficial, meaningless trivialities and there's a lesson there, myself included, for everyone particularly in the charged atmosphere that we live in these days. All to often it's far too easy to point to the few differences between us than the multitude of commonalities we all share. That said I've become a subscriber and thoroughly enjoy your show. All the best and continued success!
#7 indeed is the most important. I started this hobby with an oversized Diesel watch (with excessive anti-reflective coating). I loved that watch... Bit it was broke after 3 months so I tossed it. I began researching and found out Seiko was a good value proposition. I bought an snzh53j1 and a Dan Henry 1964. Now I'm in love with watches and I'm going to buy a Sinn 556 or a Nomos club campus... I'm actually mad I got rid of the Diesel one because that one started it. Thanks for your videos. A joy to watch them.
The last bit is important. Before I even got into watches and before I even knew what a Submariner was, I bought a large 44mm gold Invicta because I thought it looked nice. Since then, my watch collection has expanded greatly and my tastes have changed massively. While I rarely wear it now, that gold Invicta watch still looks great to me and is a reminder of how I entered this fascinating community. Maybe an individual just likes the look of the watch and they just want to wear something that they, themselves, are proud of.
@@thorodinson376 The idea with fitness trackers is that you wear them all the time, not just when you're doing exercise. They're great for keeping you active throughout the day and reminding you to move. But as watches... well let's say not all of them are very satisfactory in that regards. Personally I wear a regular watch on one wrist and a Fitbit Flex 2 on my other wrist because it's only a tracker, not a watch, and it's fairly discreet.
The watch snob bit is very timely based on many recent posts/events on certain social media forums. There are just too many adults that don't understand how to be a gentleman. Money can't buy class
Brilliant intro, and the content is useful while at the same time entertaining! One can clearly see the love and passion that goes into your channel. I am 16 years old and am planning on buying my first watch. Your videos have helped me a lot in exploring the watch world and I am so thankful for the advice! Without you I may well have ended up with a Vincero or so. By now I have developed an aversion to these kinds of watch brands. I also have become quite interested in watches and horology. I am delighted to be a part of this great community!
I watched this video a few months ago and can honestly say it changed my life looking back on it. Not just in terms of the choice of my watch, but in most aspects of my life and branding in general. Thank you.
Hello fellow earthlings! One important point is missing. Not every watch is about style ore fashion. I wear my grandfathers universal Geneva pole router date when I need the spirit of my "tribe" around me ! Some Passed down watches are more than a timepiece , if this makes sense?
whoaa... so nice!! Yes.. I'm so intrigued by inherited watches. I don't have any so I like to wonder about what kind of days the watches would have seen...
I honestly appreciate your point of view in regards to the "hobby". Being relatively new to collecting wrist watches I find it refreshing, if not encouraging to hear one's words of inclusion rather than exclusion. Thank you.
Hey Gentry, thank you so much for these videos. Just got into the world of watches and it has been incredible so far. What you said near the end really freed me from the pressure I felt when I was browsing different sites/forums about watches. I got into the world of watches (literally like a week ago) because my girlfriend bought me a chronograph watch from Bulova. It was my first ever watch of age 23, and I absolutely loved it in the beginning but everybody is talking about better watches and what I could have gotten for that price point. Not to mention how people talked about what the ideal watch size should be on my wrist (46mm case and I have a wrist size of 7 inches). It really began to bother me and I was wondering if I should get a different watch. After watching your videos, I realized that the sentimental values and the preferred taste should ultimately be the judging factors when choosing a watch. So thank you for showing me what the core values of the watch are about. I still love the watch that I got from my girlfriend :)
I started wearing vintage watches back in the 80s. They were small because that's what the style was at the time. Only recently did I learn that I was 'supposed' to wear a certain size watch for my wrist, but this is a recent development. My wrist is also 7" wrist but I'm comfortable with my 34mm watches. I tend to dress vintage so the large watches look out of place on me.
Whaaa-aat?? Bulova is a good name. I just bought a Bulova Devil Diver last week to go with my Breitling Avenger chrono, Zodiac Super Seawolf, Ball Master Engineer II, Omega Seamaster 300, Edox Hydrosub North Pole, and Marathon military diver. I also have a Seiko Samurai, Casio Mudmaster and a Vostok Amphibia. Oh, and a Timex Waterbury. A true enthusiast likes different makes and models based on design and/or heritage, not the friggin' price tag. Read up on Bulova's history, I think you'll be impressed.
Such an awesome dude I gotta say, I could easily see myself watching you even if I wasn't into watches. No idea how some people manage to always seem genuinely happy and positive.. PERIOD. Really uplifting just watching you talk
That’s crazy. You never know, seiko might be manufacturing parts for many other (costlier) watches. Like the NH35A is being used in so many other watches. Enjoy ur SARB and show them the finger (haters, that is.)
Got a green sumo and I'm loving it, got many compliments about how good it looks, except from those who don't like green, and those who don't like seikos because it isn't a Rolex
I would recommend everyone to watch and listen to this true gentleman, not just watch enthusiasts. An object lesson in how to live and enjoy your life and be quietly classy at the same time. The opening pastiche was also a joy to behold!
i love this guy because he's super passionate about everything that he talks about, but he ALWAYS underscores his comments with: Life is short, do what makes you happy. it's such quality advice, really puts things in perspective and helps us not take our whole lives for granted. so important.
When I first bought my Rolex Air-King in 2002,I thought it was a bit too small for my wrist...but once I got used to it,I love wearing it as my daily watch.
Im slowly coming to terms that people who snob around probably don't own anything. I was saving up for the Tissot powermatic diver as my first ever automatic watch and my dad gifted me his 12 year old ORIS small seconds 7609 from nowhere as a "welcome gift" to the horology world and I was over the moon! Though it is pretty much beaten up with deep knocks on the case, and scuffs from daily use, but somehow I see extreme beauty in it and its no doubt the one watch I'll always keep it with me.
When I was a lot younger, I used to collect watches but could never afford the ones I really wanted.. I’ve been watching these videos lately and it’s been really helpful and encouraging me to take up collecting again.. I really appreciate all the information..
Agreed! Also, here’s one of the most ridiculously foppish men on YT waxing poetic about how to be understated and manly. How the Hell did I end up here? 🤣
In the 7th point you just stole the show, I feel better about my collection and also really appreciate this point since I’ve never heard any other enthusiast raise such a valid point Great work, sir
The watch snob was the best I saw this year. Your skills as filmmaker and actor are same outstanding perfekt as well as your presentation of watches. Thanks a lot, stay healthy and greetings from Germany
Great video. About size, though: perhaps lug to lug is more important than watch diameter. Take Nomos Tangente for example, or Zenith Elite Chronograph Classic. I compared the latter with 42mm JLC MCC, and it turned out the Zenith has enormous lug to lug length. Thanks
Great video. I love the last point. I have a Bambino V2 and an f-91w and get the same enjoyment from both. I think it's massively important we all respect people and their watch choices and glad TGV and the community are on the same page!
Take a mechanical watch, any mechanical watch and put a diamond on it and makes the watch so cheap that I would never wear or own one, and if I owned one I would sell it.
I like diamonds on automatic LADY watches, but on the other hand diamonds is a no-go for any MALE watch! Ok I can undestand tiny gems in a place of hour markers, but on a bezel/outer case area? Forget it....
Its videos like this that always reaffirm my support, my subscription to you. Thank you for sharing such valuable insights and guidance on everyone's common hobby here. You teach balance, moderation and flexibility in our watch game. Above all, you preach values, seeking to unite people and promote harmony. Excellent video as always. Cheers!
So glad to hear you mention a vintage Air King. I had one given to me that was previously owned by a famous aviator. I love it for it's simple elegance. It has no day or date display and only a tiny rolex crown at 12 o'clock. The service cost about as much as the watch is worth but I now have a perfect, elegant and understated watch with a fabulous story attached. I like your attitude and the way you present information ( unlike some other watch channels). I went out and bought a Max Bill after hearing you mention them. I have about 7 watches now as a result of watching you online. I previously had only a single watch that I wore daily for over 15 years. It's so much more interesting now. I am planning to get a Grand Seiko but can't decide on a quartz (now) or save a bit more for an automatic. The quartz is impressive (50 year service interval) but a Snowflake is something I could hand down to my son. What are your thoughts?
Just keep a plastic yacht master in your pocket, pink if possible, works the same way as a crucifix does on demons, they will hiss at first, then they wince and flee ;)
Your channel works because you are genuine, erudite and its clear you are good person with a good heart and treat people nicely. Consideration for others is such an underrated attribute in this world but it should always form a major part in every decision we make.
I believe that people being snob at the watch collection that you have is what keeps me from sharing my very humble collection. At the moment I only have a simple Casio MW-240, a beater analog quartz watch, and to my country standards it was very expensive (It costs around 15~17 USD), so sharing it online sounds kinda stupid when people show off their Hamiltons, Seikos and Rolexes, y'know?
Rauv, never feel embarrassed to post a humble watch here! I have posted a few which were even less expensive than your Casio, and no one was ever mean about it. I was even surprised to hear from a few members who had similar, or wanted to learn more! But I will say, it adds a lot to the post if you share just what it is about a watch that you like, or why it is special to you. Feel free -- you'll certainly get a "like" from me!
Thank you for the messages. I use the /r/watches (or /r/watch, cant remember now) under the name rauvowl. Soon I'll post about my humble Casio and my new passion for watches
My first watch was a hand wound Services from my mum and dad back in the 70s in today's money it still cost sweet f.a. but when I found one like it in a junk shop years later I was overjoyed.£6 spent for total happiness. enjoy and share your watch. It is what it means to you that matters.
One of my favourite watches is a kid's watch (small wrists here) that I got on sale for the price of a burger. It's bright red, completely plasticky but the design is really nice, it's bang on accurate, and it's waterproof for 100m. I love it to bits and wear it proudly :)
"Had I um not tried it I wouldn't have never known" The Urban Gentry- My good sir, your excitable enjoyment of watches and all alike fills my heart with a warmth of true rarity. Never lose your freedom and always do what you love. -Sincerely your sub, Jonathan S.
TGV, I was wondering of you have seen the movie "longitude?" It is the story of how Harrison solved the longitude problem. You probably have, and if so would you share your thoughts? I thought it was very well done. I enjoy your channel immensely. You remind me to find pleasure in small things. Unlike many people who immerse themselves in a hobby, you don't condescend to beginners or those with limited budgets. Your appreciation of watches seems unrelated to their price tags. You're always upbeat, polite, and positive. You don't feel the need to resort to demeaning others, or the use profanity. UA-cam is largely a gutter. Thanks for not being a part of it. Gentlemen seem to be an endangered species, but you are spreading the word. Thanks, Ian
Great video TGV! Love that intro, one of my favorite among the intros that I’ve seen on your channel. I’ve learned so much from you and in part thanks to your videos, I now have an SKX007 and Oris Aquis 39.5mm in my collection.Unfortunately, having a skinny wrist means breaking point no.1 and its difficult to be a watch enthusiast as many watches that I like very much are off limits. Having said that, I rather wear a watch that is a tad larger then not wearing any watch at all. Thanks for the videos and keep em coming!
Blinged or "Iced" out watches are quite, declasse. On the other hand, one engraved, and elegant diamond (or any gem) right above the 12:00 hour, on the bezel is elegant, understated, and timeless.
Pure class video, TGV! Thanks for this unrivaled intro and for being so open-minded! I adore every second of this show. Cheers from cold and barbaric Russia! )
Absolutely best opening for a video ever. Also thank you for putting the truth out there about what it is to be a better man. The people I admire most are the ones who are happy with themselves and go out of their way to make others happy as well.
Unfortunately watch snobbery is among us, it’s a part of the journey and when you meet one which you inevitably will, it becomes part of the fun. Someone once asked me what would be his next watch and I recommended a few based on his style but his comment to me was “I already have a Rolex Explorer II so there is no sense of going to watches cheaper than that one” In this case, the price point was his metric of a fine watch which I guess has some merit as you do get what you paid for, but you and I both know that isn’t always the case. The fun part of trying to enlighten him that there are indeed many important watches of great horological value at any price. At the end of the day he bought a G.O. Senator Panodate, it costs more then his Rolex and it was indeed a fine watch so it fit. As a collector, it’s important to be able to talk intelligently about any watch at any price point. You may not be able to afford that MB&F or a George Daniels but it’s not all about owning but knowing the importance of it. I once asked someone why he chose a Patek Perpetual Calender and he replied “I liked the way it looks” but he couldn’t begin to tell me any insights to the movement or even how it works which is a real shame in my opinion. Many people can afford to buy but how many actually know what they are buying?
I had totally forgotten about “T” sweeping the yard wearing a Rolex! Thanks for sharing, my yard is going to get some serious attention tomorrow and I’m going to wear my nice watch too! Lol
i'm by no means a "watch snob" i own seikos, wengers, and citizens, but when i'm half asleep at midnight, and turn QVC on, and see 60+mm ghastly invictas, i cant help but have nightmares!!!!!
I really like the last rule...I used to size up people in my mind coz I felt my watch looked better than others but later thought to myself that maybe they just needed something basic to tell time or didnt want to spend on a watch due to more important obligations in life like thier kids tuition...
I totally agree with all your points. It's regrettable that some of the more fundamental ones, those concerning behaviour and personal conduct, need to be said at all.
"The man makes the man" You got another channel subscriber after this phrase: thank you for being so a great person. p.s. Say Ciao to your italian friend from another italian that's me.
I bet if you ask someone to tell you their story of the watch they're wearing, you'll find something to love about their choice of watch, even if it's not a watch for you.
Great video! The large watch sin I must admit I have been guilty of. I'm a woman with relatively small wrists but I love diving watches and aviation watches and racing watches, tool watches...you get the idea lol. Its hard to find watches like that that I can afford and also look good. I'd loooove a Marathon TSAR, its 36mm and I think I could pull it off, I don't care if its too chunky lol. Also thanks to this channel I really want a Spaceview lol.
As TGV eloquently put it, first, last, always, wear what makes YOU happy. The giant watch thing is not a sin of you know you're doing it., his point was for those who don't. The world's best watch is the one you are happiest wearing.
Respect to you TGV for speaking out about watch snobbery.i love your channel because you are a gentleman about the love of watches in all their brands and styles irrespective of monetary value, but more importantly the horological interest.good work fella.
The watch community seems to be very inviting and nice. I've been watching your videos for a while and recently have been watching some other channels, and they all seem to be very positive to new enthusiasts. I appreciate your warm welcome into a fascinating and interesting hobby c:
Quality video TGV haha! Was just gifted a Tissot Powermatic for my birthday. A beautiful watch in and of itself! Sadly I've already received somewhat snobby remarks on it, something I cannot understand one bit!! All the best, JF
Congrats on receiving such a classy gift and commiserations on the snooty remarks, Tissot is such an important and historic brand, the detractors obviously know nothing about horology and lack the class in expressing such opinions. Wear it with pride my friend and do not let them effect your good taste and stronger character. I am sure you would not stoup to that level, you are hear after all right ;-) Thank you JF. Onwards and upwards! Best regards, TGV
Dont care about them Josh. I have a huge collection of great watches but im still not satisfied because it lacks a Tissot. Just great watches. I see forward to get a Ballade
Don't worry! Once I proudly posted my Speedmaster Mark II cal. 861 with the dial getting tropical, and the critics (more than one) were; well, ...... but it's not the moonwatch! Obviously, it doesn't deserve any response. And , by the way, the Powermatic is a beautiful watch. Congrats!!
I love what you said in number 7 about being a good person and not criticizing a person about their watch (or any other) choice and about us all sharing the same hobby and passion for watches. I think that's the main attribute a person should have and should pass on to next generation. I appreciate you for saying that. Look at me for example. I am very passionate about watches and I love looking at different types, styles and brands of watches. Unfortunately, I can't really afford any high-end expensive timepieces, so I order Chinese watches from AliExpress (some are original designs and some are homages to the big brands) and I am HAPPY. My collection is over 70 watches strong, and I get to wear a different watch every day and really enjoy my passion.
I have a Spaceview.. dope watch. I've started using the regular 1.5 volt batteries in it. It was starting to malfunction with the special 1.35v batts. Runs perfect with the 1.5's. Nice video bro.
Thank you for your wonderful insight not only in watches, but in life. You remind us to be kind to everyone and most especially to ourselves! I love your videos and I'm loving every watch I have collected thanks to your videos. Kudos to you!
I must say the quality of your content is brilliant. Not only is the production value original with the majority if videos I remember, but your character and insightfulness is thought provoking in a way I didn't expect to encounter when oggling at some of the pieces in your collection. Keep it up.

They are cut from the same cloth as other elitists . These are the people that ruin various scenes.
But the question is does it matter?
Zzygyy I could careless about watch snobs, their opinions do not matter to me unless they going to pay for my watch.

I had to pause it 2 minutes in just to say...that was the most hilarious intro ever! Great job, T.
You: telling half a life story.
Everybody else: 0 fucks given.
Monica Hasselt That's pretty nasty Monica... Pretty accurate, though!
Monica Hasselt you were saying?
Well stated, Seeker. Thanks for sharing. :)
Being a male is a matter of birth, being a man is a matter of age, being a gentleman is a matter of choice.
That image of Sean Connery with a G-shock was too hilarious
wearing two watches at the same damn time will kill ur watch style pretty damn fast lol
I've been seeing more people wearing a traditional watch on one wrist and a smart watch or fitness tracker on the other.
Ian Schulze well smart watched are stupid unless youre being active...in that case swap out the analog for thr smartwatch before you exercise.
I have always worn two watches , I’m not going to stop anytime soon
I saw Chris Pratt doing a Schwarzkopf on Jimmy Kimmel last night. Looked cool to me. Just saying
The watch snob bit is very timely based on many recent posts/events on certain social media forums. There are just too many adults that don't understand how to be a gentleman. Money can't buy class
Well said. I am 18, and I was raised well, and so were you! Money cannot buy class.
@Star Trek Theory Not very much money! 😂. Which is the beauty of it!
Hi, I only recently started watching this channel and enjoy its no BS approach to our Hobby, love your work and appreciate your style.
Thank you and welcome aboard!
Best regards,

Treasure that watch! And your girl!
Irks me when people look at my Seiko SARB035 with a disgusted look because it is a Seiko. They just don't understand
Zen Balboni yeah they have no idea lol
That’s crazy. You never know, seiko might be manufacturing parts for many other (costlier) watches. Like the NH35A is being used in so many other watches. Enjoy ur SARB and show them the finger (haters, that is.)
Does anyone actually care enough about someone else's watch to look at it in disgust?! I mean unless it's got a giant swastika or something.
Got a green sumo and I'm loving it, got many compliments about how good it looks, except from those who don't like green, and those who don't like seikos because it isn't a Rolex
Just googled it . What's wrong with that watch ? Maybe a little too conservative but certainly a very neat watch.
I would recommend everyone to watch and listen to this true gentleman, not just watch enthusiasts. An object lesson in how to live and enjoy your life and be quietly classy at the same time. The opening pastiche was also a joy to behold!
😂😂😂😂😂 Nice intro. I actually did some research before on Ryan Gosling's watch. It's a Rolex 5500 1970s to be precise. You can find it at 3000$.
i love this guy because he's super passionate about everything that he talks about, but he ALWAYS underscores his comments with: Life is short, do what makes you happy.
it's such quality advice, really puts things in perspective and helps us not take our whole lives for granted. so important.
Brilliant. I just love your attitude towards life in general, especially in regards to watch snobbery. You sir......are pure class!
When I first bought my Rolex Air-King in 2002,I thought it was a bit too small for my wrist...but once I got used to it,I love wearing it as my daily watch.
Isn't the point of hobbies to have fun? Otherwise, why bother? Thanks for being a positive force.
to many people forget to have fun in this hobby thats what its all about
Why I love this channel.. If you love watches, you love watches. From Casio and Timex to Vacheron Constantin, buy what you like and fits your budget.
Gwnz 0816 that’s awesome
I love that you wave a round a space pen with your paper notepad, also contributes to your style.
Loved that intro TGV. Cracked me up. A much needed tonic.
Great discussion towards the end about being a gentleman and an upstanding, respectful human. Bravo!
Felt like I was watching a new Bioshock game at the start. Great video.

"Less is more" is a pretty good mantra. Perhaps TGV should follow his own advice and tidy up his room.
Agreed! Also, here’s one of the most ridiculously foppish men on YT waxing poetic about how to be understated and manly. How the Hell did I end up here? 🤣

The watch snob was the best I saw this year.
Your skills as filmmaker and actor are same outstanding perfekt as well as your presentation of watches.

Great video. About size, though: perhaps lug to lug is more important than watch diameter. Take Nomos Tangente for example, or Zenith Elite Chronograph Classic. I compared the latter with 42mm JLC MCC, and it turned out the Zenith has enormous lug to lug length. Thanks
Honestly, I forgot about watches listening to the way you so smoothly speak with words, I'm subscribing just so that I can learn!! 😲😍
I'm not impressed by blinged out watches at all, in my view it lowers the piece's value

One small diamond would be elegant and understated. 1000 on the other hand = 🤮🤮🤮
That's why the blingiest watch on my collection is the SRPC68K1
Yep, gangsta/rapper bling watch turns a normally stylish watch in pile of dog poo.

I like diamonds on automatic LADY watches, but on the other hand diamonds is a no-go for any MALE watch! Ok I can undestand tiny gems in a place of hour markers, but on a bezel/outer case area? Forget it....
Well said. This video was not just about choosing watches, but how to behave in society. Thank you!

Don't let the watch snobs take away the pleasure of your hobby; wear (and share) whichever watch you have with confidence.

I enjoy your channel immensely. You remind me to find pleasure in small things. Unlike many people who immerse themselves in a hobby, you don't condescend to beginners or those with limited budgets. Your appreciation of watches seems unrelated to their price tags. You're
always upbeat, polite, and positive. You don't feel the need to resort to demeaning others, or the use profanity. UA-cam is largely a gutter.

Absolutely best opening for a video ever. Also thank you for putting the truth out there about what it is to be a better man. The people I admire most are the ones who are happy with themselves and go out of their way to make others happy as well.
"The greater the ignorance, the greater the dogmatism", what a great sentence.
One of your best video. Especially the end : "the man makes the man", not the watch. I agree 100% 👍🏻

That's cool...
may I suggest the citizen promaster marine in 34mm, chunky coolness with small lug-to-lug
Thank you! I do like Citizens ^.^
As TGV eloquently put it, first, last, always, wear what makes YOU happy. The giant watch thing is not a sin of you know you're doing it., his point was for those who don't. The world's best watch is the one you are happiest wearing.
the skx 0013 is pretty cool smaller diver, although I think sometimes a larger watch can look ok on a woman.

Congrats on receiving such a classy gift and commiserations on the snooty remarks, Tissot is such an important and historic brand, the detractors obviously know nothing about horology and lack the class in expressing such opinions.
Wear it with pride my friend and do not let them effect your good taste and stronger character.
I am sure you would not stoup to that level, you are hear after all right ;-)

Excellent watch. Watch snobs like other elitists are miserable.
Indeed they are!
The Airking from Gosling is a Ref. 5500 if anyone cares
I have a Spaceview.. dope watch. I've started using the regular 1.5 volt batteries in it. It was starting to malfunction with the special 1.35v batts. Runs perfect with the 1.5's. Nice video bro.
