We also call the rubber bumpers strike out rubbers or cushions. We need to pay attention to them, they will tell us how our suspension is working. The strike outs should not be damaged or missing. This is a warning sign to pay attention to. Great video as always
Thank man. Always like your comments. Great that you are liking the videos.
Just ordered a pair...cant wait to feel the difference...great video guys...
Thank you for your business. I believe you are going to be very pleased with the improvement! 👍
I don't care about chrome or customizing the look, but I don't cut corners when it comes to how I want my motorcycle to ride or run. I follow the buy once cry once rule, especially when it comes to suspensions.
Good choice. A quality ride is not just comfortable, it makes for a safer ride also, keeping those tires in contact with the road at all times.
Thanks for smoothing rides out.
You bet 👍
In Detroit our roads are used to test tanks to see if they will survive on the battlefield.

Hello D&K
Solid advice. Thanks
Thank you for the comment!
Great advice.
Thanks! 👍
Good info!
Thank you for the comment, glad it was helpful!
My 2014 Ultra came with Progressive 944 shocks when I bought it used. Even though according to progressive the (heavy duty springs) that were on the shocks were recommended for my total weight I could never get their recommended sag out of them and it rode like it had solid suspension. I switched to their (Standard spring) allegedly to light for my total weight and they still ride rough and still couldn't get the sag they recommended in their instructions. So yes sag is a worthless setting to me.
Yeah, we have had a lot of Customers swap out various Progressive shocks, including the 944's for the Twin Adjustables, noting the significant improvement.

Harley must set up these touring bikes for 2 up & 400 lbs riding weights have mine on zero and no sag I always ride solo and weigh 200 lbs. horrible on the highway hit a bump the back wheel comes off the ground and knocks cruise control off. Ordered a set of bitubo from DK can’t weight to install
Yeah, HD has never been good with the OEM suspension, and their latest move from the air shocks to the coil over was a big step BACKWARDS.
I believe you are going to be well pleased with the Twin Adjustable Shocks. 👍😎👍

My 15 RK had air shocks I didn’t like them so I got a pair of the 17 up and yes they are worse🤦♂️
@@scrumthebum2451 Let us know what you think about the Twin Adjustables once they come in and you've been able to go for a ride after install!
@@DKCustomProducts
Yeah got them
Installed today way better. So I pushed the rubber cushions up took it for a ride it was a little soft. Pulled over and switched dampener to #4 on both sides felt very good. Got home the rubber cushions were all the way down. I was happy 😃 so I didn’t change anything. Should I adjust the preload a little tighter and go back to #3 or just leave it ?
@@scrumthebum2451 If the adjustments you made are comfortable for you, then I would say they're good where you've got them. Glad to hear you're liking the improved comfort! Thanks for sharing your feedback, ride safe!
👍👍
So after a test ride with my bitubos the bumber rests ½" to 3/4" above bottom. How do I adjust so I get more travel? Is it done with the shock on the trike? If so how do I get up and in to do this? TIA
Two ways, both require no weight to be on the rear tires.
1. The fastest way is to reach up and turn the pre-load adjustment ring (at the top of the spring) clockwise to give it more pre-load/less sag.
2. The easiest way is to remove the rear tires and adjust that ring while sitting on a stool.

If wanting more travel doesn’t it require less preload ? Less spring tension ?
@@scrumthebum2451 You are correct. If the bumper is not going all the way to the bottom, and you want it to going over typical bumps, then you would reduce the amount of preload. Thanks!
When are you guys going to mail my suspension for my ultra ??
Thank for the comment, but from your youtube username I can't look up an order. Please call or email to get a status of your order.

@@DKCustomProducts I was hoping I could get a free pair for my ultra classic 2017 low on funds right know due to injury to my left knee from work
I’ve been told I have to get use to my 2021 tri glide riding rough , is that true ? It’s like riding across a plowed field , choppy roads about jar the teeth out of my head
Yeah, I was told the same thing about 10 years ago. (it is NOT True) I then embarked on a quest of making the Tri Glide ride smooth. There will always be a bit of a challenge because of the 3 tracks instead of just one on a motorcycle, or two in an auto. But it can get very smooth and floaty, no need for any jarring.
Here is a link of a walk around on my latest Tri Glide...it includes a lot of comfort mods.
