I met SABER in SF outside of a drum and bass rave back in 98. He started pressing me because i had a little bubble throwie id drawn on the bill of the hat i was wearing. He was a little 'not sober' at the time and so i know that was a factor in the way he was interacting me. Anyway, he challenged me to a 'graffiti fight' lol, then he told me what he wrote and i got shook and backed down. Thats one of my biggest regrets today that i didnt just battle him, even if my shit was toy i still wouldve had some respect for standing my ground. I was in a space where i was weary of being set up or jumped but that was only a little of the reson i backed down. It was during the time when MSK/AWR had CRUSHED San Francisco and i was still a toy finding my way through the style jungle. I remember he was fired up - "graffiti isnt a game, it's not cute, ive had friends that died for graffiti, you gotta be ready to get locked up, you gotta fight for graffiti! You wanna fight me?! you wanna fight me with graffiti?! I got a piece still wet up the street!!! I got paint lets go!!!" an i turned pussy real quick bc i wasnt on that same vibe. It definitely made an impression on me and also a big part of why i still write but im mindful of the consequences at the same time. Some of you probably wouldve battled and most of you wouldve folded like i did but either way,i wish you success in your journey. Know your history, embrace the culture and STAY IN YOUR LANE...karma can be a bitch but karma can also be an angry drunk guy with a back pack full of rusto and a Rep.....
Man, this is great. Thank you for uploading this, its a trip to see such an personal interview because 20 years ago you had to seriously try to keep from getting busted by cops or shot by gangsters. But back then you could run from the cops without having to worry about them shooting you in the back, but they'd chase you down

There's a guy in my city claim to be related to saber. He owns a tatoo shop with tons of sabers pieces. Told me I'd might get lucky and meet Saber one day when he visits here.
More like saber changed the whole scene in San Francisco. Revoke even more but saver drop shit that was just ridiculous his roller upside down you could see it from the top of all kinds of hills all the way to you got to it and the MSK right around the corner from that
OFA'S ... that's right we met SABER and REVOK ,in Frisco and it was an honor he's a cool laid-back dude both of them very respectable and got to smoke a fat joint with him bumped into him after that time + 99 + same dude cool as f*** I wish him success in his journey and I also I'm epileptic so let's beat this shit I hope you taking your CBD oils that's what helps me is prevention. ME..ROTS,PISTOE AND,SOM.
You have no idea how many kings are from the suburbs and are white. Graffiti does not care where you come from or how much money your parents have. His mom could be Queen Elizabeth and have an endless bank account. He still destroyed the West Coast and more… you have people from every crew and every hood from Los Angeles they give this man respect… the suburbs are talking about, or in between San Fernando Valley and Oxnard, don’t tell me that graffiti should not exist there. Let me guess your skin is darker and you’re from a shitty neighborhood so you think you’re more valid…lol😂
Not to mention when he was kingIng La… not many knew what color he was or where he was from. It was pre-Internet, and it never even matter… so you had ese in the hood going damn homie is crushing…all east valley ,, east La.. the whole west coast got a taste of the freshness.
@@exposingextremists7786 poor kids get bailed out too…hence every hood having a bail bond on every corner. We’re talking about graffiti, not financial back round.
@@exposingextremists7786 tell me one king crew that does not have a variation of financial backgrounds? All my damage was with a rich white kid from the burbs. I’m half white half Chicano from the 818 came from extreme poverty…. I knew he would get bailed out and I wouldn’t if we got caught…and ? Homie is still a letter king and destroying…parents still in the burbs. And?..basically no one relevant cares when your on the freeway blasting
What the actual fuck are you complaining about? Where are they supposed to get the original pieces from? Chip them off the walls that have long been painted over? Store every panel that was painted illegally in a gallery? This museum is a good thing for the culture with real ties to real people who really did and do it
Saber was truly one of the greatest, kids today only know frontsellouts, he will go down in history as something else.
Was?
He STILL IS.
Thank you @@mr.martyr8573

@Hezekiah1 in some of his interviews he mentioned his suburb mom bailing him out.while real deal street dudes had to do there time.
