@@k-leb4671 Significantly less so. Come to me album version bass line is staccato, live performance bass line is "fluent" and parts glissando, like here.
Uuuugh, how did you even find this? You are a lovely human for finding all this stuff and blessing us with it 😭 holy crap man, doing the lord’s work here 😘
This is from MINIDISCS [Hacked] which is a compilation of 16 HOURS from the Ok Computer era that Radiohead made for themselves for some reason. Someone leaked it somehow 4 years ago and now everyone can listen to the "album".
AwwHA!! THAT'S what this fuckin is! I was racking my brain to best explain just exactly they had happening in this specific, particular case right here...and that's it!! You juss nailed it the fuck on its head better than anyone will ever be able to nail it like!
Once you get past the novelty of that Bjork bassline, it's obvious why they never released this version. It's clearly a work in progress and the bass doesn't actually work for the song at all.
pffff.. it sounds super rookie indeed. That arpeggio with the synth is over greedy or probably a good idea poorly executed. and the freaking bass pumping pumping all around also doesnt help. I love the song of course.
As someone loved the old release of this song before AMSP, the context behind the AMSP version being finally released after tweaking the song for 20 odd years, makes it an absolute gut punch.
This is so unique. I would never expect a song called true love waits to sound like this.
it has one of the poppiest radiohead soundings tho
The bass sounds like it fits creep in a weird way
I can do this
the bass in insane
My playback speed was on 1.75x. I thought i was listening to a different version of bangers + mash hahahaah
Lol😂
😂
💀
Listening to this version makes me appreciate the final version so much more. This reminds me of a mid to late 80’s English rock rock for some reason.
This and the time they debuted this song are my two favorite versions
“Not For Sale” ah yes, the new Radiohead song.
the bass figure at the very beginning is extremely similar to that Bjork used for her live performances of Come to me in 1993/4
Oh my God I never noticed that
The live performances? It's very similar to the album version too.
@@k-leb4671 Significantly less so. Come to me album version bass line is staccato, live performance bass line is "fluent" and parts glissando, like here.
@@cvejristhis is such a stretch but do yk the tabs lmao
Oooo thats why it sounded so similar
glad to find this version of true love waits again
"The Bends Shaped pool"
A mixed version of my favourite Radiohead song is still ok

@@torna2508 They leaked it for less than a week, then Radiohead released it officially at "Choose your price"
It sounds like a Radiohead Earthbound Mashup
Real
i think it’s cause of the bass lol, no wonder i love it so much
This feels extremely "Bends" era-y
Bendy
Bendsy
For sure, the guitar and bass
just amazing

Mil veces la versión acústica de live in aslo y los arreglos que le hizo Jonny fue el toque especial.
La versión de AMSP la verdad no me gusta nada.
pls post more minidisc stuff i loveee the let down one
wow, a fourth version to this song...its a good day
This one came out before Kid A Mnesia, so really it’s the third. There were 3 other versions on the minidiscs, making the Pulk/Pull version the 7th.
It's gonna be a glorious day
This gives me Achtung baby vibes
AwwHA!!

This version sounds so much like U2’s Moment of Surrender from No Line on the Horizon.
that's a spot on comparison
I really like the early versions of Kid A~TMSP. You can actually hear the band instruments instead of the synth mix of later versions.
my favorite song
I can cry laugh and smile a very wonderful song
I heard this version in Paris 96 when they played it for the first time!
i wish i was there omg
They sat on this song for 20 years ?????😭
@@coolman000099 yeah
They played it in '95 first time but yes it's been around
Thank u. A masterpiece
love the bass in this
The strings sound very Mellotron-like... They give off a King Crimson vibe.
It is probably a mellotron. Love it. It's always so special.
Gracias totales 🙏
la bateria me hace acordar mucho a la de canción animal ahora que los mencionastes
kind of sounds like come to me by bjork lol
it was inspired by that song lol. Considering Radiohead is a big fan of Bjork, hahah
I know they got what they were looking for with the msp version, but I just love the old versions man,...

i quite like this but i can see why they went for a more minimal instrumentation for the studio version
in the 1:49 it has a very similar chord progression to this song ua-cam.com/video/00uiKaJLWKQ/v-deo.html
Evidence by FNM vibes
i need bass tabs for this ASAP
IDK how guitar translates to bass really but you can play it as deconstructed chords of C. E minor, A minor and G#, with some hammer ons
should i dance or cry
True Love Waits 80s version.....
thanks
❤❤❤
Bjork vibes
it sounds kinda like come to me!!
ya es el segundo ceratiano que me encuentro en los comentarios, que coincidencias de la vida nos lleva a amar las dos bandas por igual?
this is what tears for fears mad world is to the gary jules cover of mad wolrd
Where did your upload of attenzione! go?
Great version of this song
Still prefer the acoustic version but this is cool.
😭
i prefer this one actually
beuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurk
To the moon shaped pool version I can see it. But live in Olso, HELL NOOOOOOOOO
This version is completly better than amsp version
You. Are. Delusional. I mean it.
nah man it sounds soo 80's... and not in a good way
kinda sounds like a karaoke version

I absolutely detest the AMSP version....this is the tempo that this songs need to be played at.
This version makes me groove, AMSP version makes me cry. I'll take either, depending on my mood.
@@aperturius I preffer the live from oslo one, although the AMSP and this minidisc version are great aswell
me too! Glad I'm not the only one

@@sahanavica.5574 So true. Keep in mind that the AMSP version could be the LAST song Radiohead will ever release. Their final track. Ever.
