If you've ever in your life had one of your babies not cry immediately after being born, you completely understand the relief everyone has when the newborn begins crying. A crying baby is a baby that's alive.
My second son was born 4 weeks premature, he just inhaled twice deeply and then stopped breathing deeply. He tried to snuggle with me. Within 15 seconds he was taken away from me to the pediatrician. 15 minutes later I got him back, midwife saying he's fine.
My first born son whimpered moments after his birth. Unfortunately he never cried and we had to say goodbye to him. My third child another boy also never cried and he spent a week in the NICU with a tube down his throat. Thank goodness he pulled through and we got to take him home. A few of the nurses who had worked on my first son remembered his last name and when they saw my second son rolled into the NICU 4 years later they were determined to make sure we got to bring him home. One of his NICU nurses was amazing and made sure he stayed with him for the entire week in the NICU
I'm sorry to hear that , I can't understand the pain of losing the child, but I can assure you that the child would be very strong for fighting back such devastating circumstances. I am the second born and the only one who's had problems when I was born
Actually he was the son of another doctor who came to visit his father but due to some virus outbreak they had to shutdown the hospital with everyone in it. During that the lady's water broke and they had to deliver the baby

I know this feeling. when you are awake but the baby is not crying. My daughter is a stillborn. Laying on the operation table under anaesthesia waiting to hear her cry but it didn't come for long time and you know something is wrong but your mind can't process and finally the doctor said that she had no heart beat and died inside. You cry and cry but can't cry hard due to stitches. You have to carryon and stand and walk and recover from c-section with no baby on your side. But hear baby crying from next ward. Worst feeling ever. I pray that no mother should go through this.
Having to be a strong support when my heart was breaking for her mother and my son. I went through this during the stillbirth of my second granddaughter. It was the hardest thing I've ever done since my own miscarriage many years before my son was even born. We all shared the sorrow of an unrequited life.💔❤️🩹👼🏽
That must have been awful for you. I’m still trying to understand why they keep the mums on the ward with the rest it seems so cruel. But it’s for the doctors. They need to be near if complications arise with the Mom.
I always feel very bad for women who have to go through this but it just hit me how mothers who lost their babies could constantly hear other babies nearby. That must be heartbreaking, I'm really sorry you had to go through that😢
The quiet he has when handling the baby and talking to the mother was so sweet, and the way he said "we can save them both" I love Shaun, as a fellow autistic, it's always nice to see how another interacts with people.
You can hear the pain in the volunteers voice when he said okay. He knew that that child was depending on him and he fucking didn't let him down. Ik it's a show but the actor had everything spot on. From the expression to the barely conceled pain.
When people are panicked or in shock, they can forget things that they actually really do know. It was important for Shaun to clarify what he needed the volunteer to do. Edited for spelling.

In this scene there is some disaster going on so him and i think either a nurse or another doctor are trapped with a bunch of er randos. It brakes my heart that she died, but this fiction give me the relief that I didn't think would happen. This is inaccurate, the compression to ventilation ratio would be 3 compressions for 1 breath for 90 compressions and 30 breaths per minute. Shaun would have suctioned the baby’s airway and applied a BVM to aid in the bystander’s progress
3:1 is standard newborn protocol as they require different to an infant, child or adult. However, it is possible in the case of using a member of the public to do the cpr it would be reasonable to get them to do 30:1 as its better than nothing and more familiar.
My nephew is on the autistic spectrum. He can be just like this at times. Great show. It shows that there are many kinds of autism. The brain is a wonderful thing!
