The 2022 Yamaha XSR-900 never disappoints for a good time.

Inspired. Been trying to wheelie my 22'XSR900 for 3 months now and have only pulled off a couple very brief ones. This is my first bike tho, so trying not to hurt myself in the process lol. But hands down the best purchase I've made thus far in life, never happier than when I'm riding.
Put it in mode one and leave lift control on, once you’re going about 30-40 just pin the throttle and you’ll lift that front tire with ease. Also works in second gear going about 50-60 gotta kinda pull it up in 2nd tho
Congrats on becoming a rider man! That’s great! It’s all part of the process. It took me a little bit to figure her out.
I have all the modes turned off.
But if you keep it in full power mode and turn lift control on you can practice doing small ones.
@@johnlewis5731 yup that’s kinda how I started on this thing.
Now everything is turned off and I just hoon it. Lol
Hello, what mode use ?
I’ve had mine for a few months now. VERY easy to wheelie first gear. 2nd gear is also easily doable anywhere from 40-60 miles an hour. Third gear is tough, I’ve been trying to wheelie 3rd at 65+ mph and even dumping clutch at real high RPMS doesn’t seem to get the front up much.
I’m counting down the months bro. I’m getting one. I’m so hyped
Just purchased one in black, love it.
I’ve got one of these now. What rpms/gear do you do power wheelies at? What about clutch ups?
0-100 on this thing will nearly beat anything on the road it’s a crazy bike
It’s crazy fun! I kinda treat it like a big dirt bike now. Lol
Highway speeds/wind just aren’t fun where I live. But that’s why I have a sport bike too. Haha
a couple extra inches of swingarm will do that for ya
@@lifeasabustaxsr is a street sport bike.. ur bmw or r1 now is a track bike technically.. u can’t even enjoy it with out braking the law
Nice wheelies. Is that the stock exhaust? If not what exhaust is it?
Are those stock mirrors just flipped over? Watched you fill up too, green here is petrol, black is diesel so i would probably stick the wrong juice in lol.
Haha that’s funny.
Yes they are flipped. So the left goes on the right and then upside down.
Still kept all my turning as well.
Highly considering this as my next bike..im curious if you had to travel to get yours or order it ? Seems like they fly off the showroom floor when they actually show up. Tia
I was one of the first people last year to get one. Luckily I was able to find one that has just been unboxed and put on the showroom floor.
Same day I picked it up 3 people called to buy it.
hey man, the bikes gorgeous! I'm picking mine up tomorrow and was just curious about your mirrors. did you just switch their sides and flip em upside down? I've been wondering if it was possible to do that since I've seen them, but haven't seen it done until now.
Yes, there are upside down, but you're going to put the left on the right and the right on the left side.
Exactly what he said. You swap the sides and then install them upside down! 🤙🏻
Hello
If you could write down what settings you have when you test the wheelie, I would appreciate it.
I just picked up 2023 XSR900 yesterday, had 60 plus mile highway running through a valley with side wind advisory warning - I was thinking of a name while riding then it hit me -Aeolus - God of Wind.
I have same beast same color i just don't do wheelie in 1st(2much powe) 2 just on gas and 3rd with litle clutch np
Have you experienced the bike randomly going into neutral while riding? It's not often but aometimes I'll shift then going for a few seconds then lose power look down and it's like 40mph in meutral
Just started practicing about a week ago, wondering if you are yanking on the bars, doesn’t look like you are, I think that is what’s freaking me out the most because I’m pulling kinda hard and I feel like I’m loosing throttle control because of it. Also trying clutch ups but I can’t get it to lift smoothly, I get hit w a bang and freaks me out lol got some tiny power ones tho 😅
You dont have to yank on the bar, its not a bicycle. This thing actually has an engine. It can pull itself up.
Honestly one of the biggest tool bags I've seen in a long time
Sick whoolies tho
lol not sure what makes me a tool bag.
But thanks for the back handed compliment buddy. 🤷🏻♂️
You seem jelly.
What are you Manual TCS settings?
Im sorry i did not wait flr this ride. My dealer in the area was a clown. So i sprung for the Kawasaki z900rs cafe. Its a lovely bike after 52 yrs of riding. But, but it will be sold or traded for an XSR900, ABSOLUTELY!!
Are those stock mirrors you have flipped down ? If so, how did you do it? I tried with mine and i am having issues
You put the left mirror on the right side and right mirror on the left side and then flip them a bit.
This is the longest I’ve seen anyone wheelie the xsr. I’m debating on getting one. It may end up my daily. My question about the bike is what about storage? Could I put luggage bag/bins on these?
SW-Motech makes soft and hard bags for the XSR900. and the mounts look great (I leave the mounts on full time)
@@crashomon oh most definitely. Just looked them up they are superb. 5 star on the review as well
@@crashomon thanks🤙🏾
what glove model are you using?
What lift control settings?
did you turn off traction and wheelie controls and turn mode 1 on?
Yes all the assist are all the way down and in power mode 1.
820 Larkin Summit
Clutch it up
Does that say mode 1?
Yes. The bike has power and traction control modes.
Mode 1 is “most powerful” and traction/wheelie assists are pretty much all off.
Pick one up may 12th. This bike is seriously horny. Had a Street Triple. Test rode new one then this XSR. No contest. XSR is balls out better. The engine has torque and character the street can only dream anout

Do you ride? Should meet up sometimes.
All kinds of meets going on now that the weather is pulling around.
@@lifeasabusta yeah right now i have a triumph scrambler

You are very inexperienced. A good wheelie will stop raising engine RPM as you get to the balance point. You are on and off the throttle way too much and you do not let it get high enough. I will bet you aren't covering the rear brake either. An xsr900 is more than capable enough to do wheelies even in 3rd.
I never said I was experienced doing wheelies nor did I claim I had them perfected.
Just a fun video practicing and learning.
But thanks for the watch time. 😊
You're welcome
