Then the Sand Village would have Gaara, the Fourth (in canon) AND the puppet of Third, + 100 puppets of war, + they would probably teach Sasori magnet release. So... yeah, not a 1 man army, but a damn 3 men and a puppet who carry an entire village alongside a magical giant dog. That's probably enough to overpower at least 1 or 2 Hidden Villages.

Regardless of alliances and whatnot Gaara should've stayed dead. Resurrections in anime remove all tension from the story (cf. dragon balls). But that's another matter entirely.

Remember that Tobirama was great with water release. They both could easily kickstart Sand's economy in a month, and then just send people with water release after small fee from time to time. That way Sand could both prosper while still being dependent on Konoha, therefore not starting any wars.
Legit, Hashirama could have EASILY helped them, first, use some of your skilled shinobi with water jutsu skills like Tobirama for example, make artificial lakes and ponds, and use wood style to bring more nature to the land, straight up, this would have been a great substitute for a tailed beast

Yeah, that's the problem with the political setting lol, the fact that people like Hashirama and Tobirama exist that's capable of changing the landscape with a wave of their hands means that Sand Village shouldn't really be in a desert if Hashirama really do want to help then.

The fact that the Hidden stone didn't get curbed by every village at once simply to get rid of them is astonishing and surprising. Hidden stone antagonizes and angers every single village just because they feel like it.
Hidden stone is like China. No one takes them out because of thier sheer size. They could just throw 1000 shinobi at 1 guy and if that 1 guy kills them all they can just throw another 1000 at him.
It's very much a quantity over quality situation going on. Where each village had a variety of clans, brigades, and organizations that spearheaded their military might, the Stone Village only had a few kekkei genkai to their name. However, what made them so formitable as one of the five great powers is the fact that they had the largest standing army and the largest reserves of shinobi. Where the Sand Village was crippled by their individual aces either defecting or dying, the Stone Village could easily replace each of their shinobi.

Hidden stone has Kekeigengai. But their demnor is always to be thinking the opposite of other villages. 4rth Tsuchikage even threatened to leave the shinobi alliance at the first chance she got in Boruto.
With the natural advancement of technology the Hidden Sand could focus on becoming an energy producer. Imagine using all that land and focusing it on wind power. The nomadic nature and small population would all minimal usage of energy, but also would allow the many clans to personally maintain the windmills and generators. It would become equitable to defend the land from enemies and if the Hidden Sand goes to war they can always redistribute power away from their enemies.
I don’t think that would help a whole lot, that still wouldn’t be an export which the sand village desperately needs, and another problem with the sand is that even if they DID have resources they could export, their nation isn’t well suited for trade with massive hard to cross deserts, sure it’s better than what the mist have being surrounded by water but even if they did have the resources that other villages had the geography of the land of wind bites any use of those resources for trade

In fact the top 15 suppliers of electricity made up 71% of electricity exportation. Two words to help develop the Hidden sand WIND MILL The place is a desert. Almost every time you see the place the wind is blowing. It’s constantly hit with sand storms. Sand storms mean high winds. On not so windy days... well wind jutsu the crap out of them.
I hate to say this, but whenever me and my friends talk about Hidden Villages that we would like to live in besides Konoha, we ALWAYS mention how we would NEVER live in the Sand Village. You couldn't even pay me to stay there. It will be a nice place to visit.. for a short while.

Forgot to mention that their Daimyo started giving konoha a large portion of their missions, so they were going broke... Orochimaru killed their kage and used them as a sacrifice in his goal to either destroy konoha or at least heavily damage it, gaara killed a lot of their anbu/jonin,

Good dust is much heavier than iron sand due to it’s density, however it’s much softer than iron sand, so while it’s more powerful than regular sand due to its weight, it’s not as offensively and defensively powerful as the Third Kazekage's Iron Sand.
Except funny enouph gold is diamagnetic. It takes extremely strong and precise magnetic fields to be able to manipulate it. In logical terms there's absolutely no reason garas father wouldn't be able to manipulate iron. As it requires less powerful magnetic fields to manipulate. I blame kishis failing magic system in late shippuden for this. After all look at garra he can manipulate multiple metals. And that makes sense. Hot take tho 🔥 🥵 very hot 🔥 take. It makes no sense that magnet release would be wind and lightning. Wind doesn't have a thing to do with magnetism. A magnetic field is the precise alignment of electrons. So electricity. Remember, the kekkei genkai was originally introduced with only shukaku in mind, it wasnt until later that iron sand showed up. It is also not known wether it is only earth and wind or wether lightning also has to be involved, we know gaara and shinki both have lightning, earth and wind release, but rasa is only shown to have earth, wind and water

Magnet release was probably treated the same way the hidden cloud was strict in granting lightning tattoos, i.e. Darui or the rest of the Raikage. It’s a huge undertaking/responsibility to have the ability thus it was relegated to the Kazekage lineage. Shinki’s mother may have died at childbirth, bestowing their family’s distant relation to the third and his magnet release
Pretty sure Magnet release was already a thing. Third Kazekage just modeled his magnet release after Shukaku’s ability to use sand That’s why three of the Kazekages use metal sands
I think that Kakashi explained that they didn’t have the resources or infrastructure to carry out a proper counter or punish the sand so they let it go because the sand wanted peace for now and also didn’t have the resources or infrastructure to continue. But then they had three other villages, at least, who were eyeing Jonah’s like a fat injured lamb.

wow, now that you mention it your super right. iv never seen anyone else use the wind style with giant fans except the sand village. from a writing stand point, it would be hard to deal with a skill like that being wildly used, since its pretty overpower and usually an instant win.
When the Sand Shinobi were introduced they were regarded as some of the strongest ninjas but it was explained that they had recently invested in making each ninja individually strong due to cutbacks on how many ninjas they could produce, so they seemed extraordinarily powerful to us at the Chunin exam and had their own powers that they had uniquely trained in. But Temari lost to Shikamaru, Kankuro lost to Shino, and Gaara (who had years of specialized training) nearly lost to Sasuke and lost to Naruto who only had a few weeks of one on one training. Then, when you remembered that the Sand Trio were siblings, you realize that there was an age advantage for Kankuro and Temari in terms of years as genin. They were impressive when introduced but their special gimmicks made them powerful (aside from Temari who is bamf and would have beat Shikamaru if the audience becoming casualties wasn't an issue), so when the gimmicks were known they were much easier to defeat. However, we only saw a small glimpse of their techniques when they were holding back to go full throttle in the war, but the reason why ninja are so dangerous in the Naruto world is a variety of techniques and power, not just a single strong ability.
sorry I meant like the series started off trying to give us unique aspects of each of the great nations and talking about the tribes which makes then up. we can name clans in the leaf and mist. we can see unique fighting styles in the sand but the cloud village is literally like (we use lighting) but anyone with lighting element can use it . u can't name one clan from this cloud nor any special blood line. u can even find that in lesser villages but not in the cloud ,well I guess that's the black lighting but ......idk if I'd count that we have the demolition in the stone or the even Taijutsu specialist in the leaf. come one.

Oil isn't made from dinosaur. Modern science says it was made from phytoplankton bio mass millions of years ago. Except there is alot to be said to say that oil may not actually be a fossil fuel. There is a conspiracy that governments and gas companies vehemently reject this. That Rockefeller in the late 1800s said that naming oil a fossil fuel will create false scarcity. In fact at that time before the oil fields were bought up. People used oil for lubrication. So before the industrial revolution. People could go out to Wells that had oil freely bubbling from the ground. In fact oil is the second most common liquid on the planet. And let me ask u this would the amount of oil burned and used really make sense if it was made from microscopic life in a ocean... There is no way that much liquid could be made by that little amount of biomass

Question. The Hidden Sand wants fertile land. The 1st Hokage has the ability to just create fertile forests anywhere. The 2nd Hokage knows water jutsu and is skilled enough at it to produce water with it. He also knows sealing jutsu and sealing scrolls exists during this time period. Sealing scrolls can be used to stores materials and objects. Could they have not used that combo to just turn portions of the Hidden Sand fertile? Worst case scenario the 2nd Hokage convinces the 1st Hokage into not going into Hidden Sand territory for security reasons and/or the trees can't be sustained for long due to the Hidden Sand's lack of fertility. However there is a workaround. Soil fertility is based on the presence of organic matter in the soil. This helps provide nutrients for plants and prevents water from escaping the soil from evaporation. This is why fertilizer and mulch is so useful and prized by agriculturalists and have been used for a long time. We're talking BC era. You can take those trees, compost them into fertilizer, and put that fertilizer in sealing scrolls. You can then use water jutsu to produce large quantities of fresh water, put that into containers, and then put that in sealing scrolls. Alternatively you can go to a large body of fresh that isn't being largely used, put that water into containers, and put those containers in sealing scrolls. You can then take fertile soil from Konoha, put that into containers, and then put that in sealing scrolls. This soil can be taken from areas that aren't being farmed or can be taken from areas that are being farmed. In the case of the latter fertilizer can be used to restore the fertility of those farmed areas. You can then take seeds, put that into containers, and then put that in sealing scrolls. Those scrolls can then be given to the Hidden Sand so that they can immediately grow crops. The first year could be for free as a show of good faith. After it's shown that this works Konoha could set up a trade deal and use that to further the village.
Few issues there. We don't know how long elements made out justsus last, tobirama was not giving any handouts and would only help the sand village the paid the proper amount, and hashirama wasn't going to force help onto others and would only done so if the first kazekage agreed to peace terms(which he wasn't really interested in).

I’d agree that the sand was the weakest of the villages, at least until after the 4th shinobi world war. Mostly because of gara, him being friends with naruto, and temari creating what’s effectively a marriage alliance with the Leaf, they can import food to solve their food problems. Plus I’m pretty sure that gara is the strongest kage excluding naruto, which puts them in a pretty safe place in terms of military might. I actually think that if they aren’t the 2nd strongest currently, then they’re the third, and that’s just because the cloud has a perfect jonchuriko and 2 living kage.

Suna also has a very powerful kunoichi in Pakura, with her shakuton kekkei genkai. I really do not understand how such a powerful ninja could have been sacrificed by the village. Sure, it was to settle the peace with Kiri, but Pakura wasn't even aware she was being sent into a trap. It spoke volumes about how people from the Sand couldn't trust their own government or superiors. And the government couldn't trust their soldiers' loyalty to sacrifice themselves for the village. They're not united, not in the way the Hidden Leaf is united (with propaganda and the Fire of Will).
lot of missed opportunity with the hidden sand. imagine a clan of insect users focused on scorpions and scarabs and such. or a clan with glass release Justus. or if they had a academy or clan of puppet masters.
I just realized puppet jutsu fills the niche of shadow clone (bolstering fighting forces) and edo tensei (using dead shinobi and their powers). Of course shadow clone and edo tensei are way better suited for each of those tasks, but considering both were forbidden, it gave the sand a niche!

They were the focus on that arc, being the antagonist, orchimaru killing the Kazekage was a mistake if both of them attacked Konoha, he could of annihilated the village and take off with sasuke.
Hey MC. Would you be able to make a video in regards to some of the "natural" creatures in the Naruto-verse? The Toads, Snakes, Monkeys, Dogs, ect? I feel as though they set an odd precedent in the Nartuo-verse with power-scaling and capabilities (I.E pain's summons' indefatigability, Great Sage Toad's clairvoyance, Monkey King Enma's role) and whether or not without Kaguya if Chakra would have evolved on Earth. From what we were originally told of the Naruto universe it doesn't seem to actually be that old until the Otsusuki clan expanded the potential timeline. Natural energy being the progenitor of all Chakra would be an interesting theory as well that could tie into the native species of a life-fairing, eventual Chakra fruit baring planet.

If Hashirama had the littlest bit of attitude in him, That would have been the first and last Kazekage. "Okay, cool, you don't need a hand out, but keep coming with these ridiculous ass demands and you going to still get these hands." I also didn't know the second Kazekage was a MJ fan.
This video really made me thinking, waht IF Reto hasnt had overestimated himself so much, what if he had just bought a second Biju, maybe Suna would have gotten Chomei instead of the hidden Waterfall of all villages (which is pretty interesting what Hashiramas intentions were by selling it to this village spesificlly and not just keeping it for Konoha instead) Maybe with 2 Jinchuriki they wouldnt have sealed Shukaku in this teapot 90% of his life, maybe with 2 Bijus they would have been able to culturize more Living space in the Land of Wind or something like that. It really is a bit sad that Sunagakure ended up so misserable just because They established a base of trust and Unity just way to late were they basically had to start from scrach and now are at the mercy of ppl who are willing to work with them even in a time of "peace".

Idk why Gaara never learned Magnet Release from his predecessors. It's the same for Konaha having no one else who knows Flying Raijin. The kage like never pass down their best jutsu. An exception would be Tobirama with Shadow Clones and Flying Raijin to ONE person which was Minato. I'm starting to feel like Orochimaru had a point that if u die all ur best jutsu are lost.
Magnet release came from Shukakku, gaara uses it and better than any previous kaze because he received it from the source as opposed to having to research it. He also taught magnet release to shinki so obviously he knows it
Flying raiijin is also a forbidden jutsu, there’s very few ninja outside of kage level that are even allowed to learn them. It’s like asking why the president doesn’t give nuclear launch codes to military members.
Once you made it clear that this wasn't just about ninja strength. Sand village is very light on the things humans need to live, they should have mineral deposits, mines, and they have the ninjutsu available to make a paradise out there, but don't have much evidence for them doing much of that. With ninjutsu I think they could terra form large swaths of the desert.

For this new generation rn for the sand village, it could actually grow alot cause they have the best and strongest KazeKage there is and that's gaara, Gaara is smart and he has the potential to increase his village alot, he's also the second strongest kage(Naruto is the first obviously) the other kages I won't rate but by what we seen Gaara is stronger then the other kages(except Naruto). Naruto made his village better so Gaara could to, they may possibly have the weakest village but they have a very smart and very strong kage at least and he has the potential to fix the village and increase it. Agree or disagree? Also shukaku isn't living in konoha forever, it's just for a brief time until everything is over plus the other villages don't have tailed beast either since there all roaming around.
Tbh I think you’re over-estimating what Naruto’s done for the village. Aside from encouraging trade and cultural exchange he hasn’t done much for the leaf aside from protect it as he’s not prodigious at governance. Naruto’s been lucky in that he’s had great back up from the other leaf ninja currently around helping him and the village in their own way. Gaara as far as we know doesn’t have that calibre of support. On top of that the strong tend to get stronger and part of the reason why konoha’s become the tech capital of the world is that the land of fire is the wealthiest and most populous land while the leaf is the strongest village. The sand may still develop really well under him but they benefit from few of the same things

Hiruzen was a great kage, he won the third great ninja war, maintained the will of fire within the leaf, and then had an era of peace in the leaf that only ended when pain attacked.

@@drparadox7833 They weren't children they were chunin at the time. They passed the academy and the chunin exam so no they were not children in the way Tobirama meant. That is why the academy and chunin exam were created. So similarly to how Naruto allows Kawakii and Boruto to stay in the village even though they can destroy it and kill everyone and no one can really stop them. Yes, the third wasn't perfect, but when a war is placed on you doorsteps you finish it. And that is what he did. The leaf wouldn't hold Lord Third in such high regard if he wasn't a great Hokage.

yeah the thing with magnet release is that when controling something magnetic the indevidual doesn't change at all. however when they forcefully magnetize something which is di-magnetic/not-magnetic, they gain those dark rings around their eyes hence why rasa only gains them when he uses his gold dust. and also explains why Gaara always has those rings as well. also since Iron IS magnetic the third Kazekage and Shinki don't gain the rings around their eyes

Good video, interestingly enough an idea that could've been worthwhile is tourism earlier on. Having tourists come internationally and spend money and using those resources to expand into area like buying land wouldve been a very good investment.
The Hidden Sand is not the weakest because if anybody knows anything about economics and war, nations like the Sand are the most impenetrable fortresses of death. Compared to nations like Iran, Iraq, etc. Their home is their greatest weapon and utilizing a terrain which is death to anyone who hasn't lived there makes your nation a place where the risk always outweigh the reward. Gaara is basically superman in his village and was fighting at the Kage level before he lost his virginity and can do battle with otsutsuki level threats even without having his number one asset (the landscape) support him.
If the naruto games can do is expend the world map. Boruto can’t do much since they doing their story but for ninja storm 4/5 there could had been a dlc expending the map since it was a time of peace

There’s actually some weird plot holes around that time period. Ao definitely would’ve noticed and also how did zabuza grow up in the blood mist village time period when it was caused by obito who is basically his age?
@@austinbevis4266The Hidden Mist was already vicious before Yagura was put under genjutsu, but yeah it’s kind of a plot hole. In regards to your question, the Byakugan can’t easily detect genjutsu. Ao detected Danzo using Katsuamatsokami because he detected Shisui’s specific chakra from Danzo’s eye.
I think the reason they never made a Magnet Release Corp is that Magnet Release is still a kekkai genkai that isn't consistently passed down but is present in the village at a small level, since it's a mix of two natures like some other kekkai genkai it's probably hard to actually determine if someone can use it unlike doujustus that have a visible, physical alteration. What I mean is that the population that can mix both wind and earth together to make Magnet Release is very small and, even then, they have their own unique Magnet Release that it'd be hard to actually know if they could actually perform it. What if Rasa performed Magnet Release and no gold was around when he tried to see if he could do it? They would think he couldn't perform it. Gaara is surrounded by sand (and Shukaku gave him sand manipulation) but if he was born in the hidden mist he'd probably never know he could control sand. There's a 50% borne affinity for the ability and a 50% having the situations to be able to perform it. They could have probably increased their odds if they had a bigger population and they did selective offsprings like how blood-purity driven clans go about it.

I don't know much about the Hidden Stone, and what I do know says they're probably weaker. I'd love to be proven wrong tho (I may love Gaara and Kankuro, even Rasa - fight me - but I love being proven wrong a little more).
I wonder if the hidden stone has the same agricultural issues. I mean, what grows in stone? At least some things grow in a desert. Iwa definitely has the military advantage, but Suna are some crafty ninjas. Iwa does have a more stabilized government, while Suna is a hot mess. (I'm not trying to make puns, they're just happening) Iwa also has a history of just not making allies while Suna seems to at least try to make allies sometimes. Suna definitely has the worse off economy. I honestly thin they're about tied. Also, I think Rasa was put in an awful position and tbh, my own headcanon is that most of it is Chiyo's fault. Like I think she pushed him to make Gaara the jinchuriki and Rasa had no other options.
The third and fourth raikage are stronger than any kazekage. The third raikage fought 10,000 shinobi for 10 days straight. The 8 tails is stronger than the 1 tail(not necessarily cuz of the tails) and the kazekage are relative to the one tails and the raikage are relative to the 8 tails. So the raikage are stronger. Also war arc naruto is stronger than gaara. Gaara mid-high diffed the fourth kazekage while naruto mid diffed the third raikage. Also the third raikage is the strongest raikage in shippuden and the fourth kazekage is not the strongest kazekage. The hidden stone also have a perfect jinchuriki in killer bee. So yes hidden stone is stronger

I might be intrusive to give my opinion since you ask him, but in my opinion i think seven tails was originally supposed to be given to the hidden sand but since they refused tailed beasts 7 tails was given to hidden waterfall.
I think the next storytelling product from the Naruto brand should had been more focused on politics and economics, etc. Growing with the audience. I like to think about more complex things about the world around this characters. But instead of doing that they went for "the new people" with Boruto. It was Bad for the brand. The anime went more inmature and the manga implies a dark story, but with characters that have inmature and childish personalities and objectives. The new fans they tried to bring to the brand never came. They are distracted watching tick tock and don't feel the nostalgia that Boruto is trying to provoque. A good story about one of the previous wars and generations explaining more of the geography, economy, political conflict and war tactics. Exploring characters and stories from other generations (some that we already know and some new), and adding depth to the world where Naruto had his adventures.

Yes, gold is significantly heavier than iron. It's a much better conductor and significantly more resistant to corrosion. Even more interesting to me at least magnetic release makes things that are not magnetic, magnetic like sand and gold. I wouldn't say someone who uses magnet release on sand or gold something not naturally magnetic wouldn't be able to use it on something magnetic
Puppet style is able to throw ku-knife that is made of something magnetic "iron" but magnet release is not available to it. Don't get me wrong, a nation of Magnetos would be OP as f***, but then there is wood release.

I thought this was gonna be a ranking of the Hidden Villages. I'd say my personal ranking is: 5.Hidden Sand: No one wants to live there. 4.Hidden Mist: The many islands make it difficult to govern, and it is plagued by a historically corrupt government. The Lady Mizukage seemed to have made it a very culturally powerful nation, so it's also the most improved nation, economically. 3.Hidden Stone: Middle of the pack just because we know so little about them. Most stable government, with the least number of Kage, but also the WORST uniforms, like they literally wear bandanas. 2.Hidden Lead: Yeah, the best ninja come from here, it's where our personal favorites are, but it's not all sunshine. Lot's of baddies come from Konoha, and they've had more Kage than any other village (The Third actually took control of the village after the Fourth, so you could argue we should be on Kage #8). But they do have the Ramen Guy so they're still first alternate for the title! 1. Hidden Cloud: Always seemed to have its shit together. It's citizens appear the happiest, and actually had the incentive to train their Tailed Beasts, and not treat them like lepers. Also, the only villager that didn't have a member in the Akatsuki. Sounds like Cloud Village has a good mental-health care plan for their citizens! And wouldn't you know it, they have the coolest outfits, bruh, the Hidden Stone could NEVER!
The concept of magnet release controlling sand is similar to the science behind Magnetos ability to control earth due to the attraction between minerals at a cellular level.
I feel like there is a good argument for the Rain village too. Yes they had Hanzo and the Akatsuki, BUT they only had those shinobi because they were constantly getting destroyed by their neighbors. They have the Poland problem when it comes to geography, they are vulnerable from every side. Also it's a North Korea style dictatorship based on a cult of personality and an industrial wasteland.
Magnet release attracts sand by creating a causing the electrons to spin creating a conductor and an electrical charge to create an electromagnetic field. By manipulating your chakra you can alter the electrons around the sand as well making the now electrically charged sand a Mailable object. Aluminum is often sound in sand and you could use that to create the electromagnetic charge. Depending on geography numerous metals could be used to create that charge.
I’d say that the sand village has potential as a trade route that can be used for a heck of a lot of different things. The only village inside of a massive desert, capable of surviving a harsh climate, a place where you can trade and eventually build your economy on imports. As long as you’re not idiots by trying to declare war every week, you have some options. I’d say the train is an example of utilizing its unique value as a village. As for what Gaara has changed, he turned a complete 180 from the approach of every other kazekage which was adversarial into alliance based. He’s establishing a better system at the moment.

Remember that Tobirama was great with water release.
They both could easily kickstart Sand's economy in a month, and then just send people with water release after small fee from time to time. That way Sand could both prosper while still being dependent on Konoha, therefore not starting any wars.
Legit, Hashirama could have EASILY helped them, first, use some of your skilled shinobi with water jutsu skills like Tobirama for example, make artificial lakes and ponds, and use wood style to bring more nature to the land, straight up, this would have been a great substitute for a tailed beast

Hidden stone is like China. No one takes them out because of thier sheer size. They could just throw 1000 shinobi at 1 guy and if that 1 guy kills them all they can just throw another 1000 at him.

It's very much a quantity over quality situation going on. Where each village had a variety of clans, brigades, and organizations that spearheaded their military might, the Stone Village only had a few kekkei genkai to their name. However, what made them so formitable as one of the five great powers is the fact that they had the largest standing army and the largest reserves of shinobi. Where the Sand Village was crippled by their individual aces either defecting or dying, the Stone Village could easily replace each of their shinobi.

The nomadic nature and small population would all minimal usage of energy, but also would allow the many clans to personally maintain the windmills and generators.
It would become equitable to defend the land from enemies and if the Hidden Sand goes to war they can always redistribute power away from their enemies.
Safe land based trade routes through the desert may also be a viable option.
They could also get solar panels due to it always being hot in the desert, with more than enough power to keep the village comfy.

The place is a desert. Almost every time you see the place the wind is blowing. It’s constantly hit with sand storms. Sand storms mean high winds.
On not so windy days... well wind jutsu the crap out of them.
I hate to say this, but whenever me and my friends talk about Hidden Villages that we would like to live in besides Konoha, we ALWAYS mention how we would NEVER live in the Sand Village. You couldn't even pay me to stay there. It will be a nice place to visit.. for a short while.

Good dust is much heavier than iron sand due to it’s density, however it’s much softer than iron sand, so while it’s more powerful than regular sand due to its weight, it’s not as offensively and defensively powerful as the Third Kazekage's Iron Sand.
Except funny enouph gold is diamagnetic.

Remember, the kekkei genkai was originally introduced with only shukaku in mind, it wasnt until later that iron sand showed up.
It is also not known wether it is only earth and wind or wether lightning also has to be involved, we know gaara and shinki both have lightning, earth and wind release, but rasa is only shown to have earth, wind and water

Magnet release was probably treated the same way the hidden cloud was strict in granting lightning tattoos, i.e. Darui or the rest of the Raikage. It’s a huge undertaking/responsibility to have the ability thus it was relegated to the Kazekage lineage. Shinki’s mother may have died at childbirth, bestowing their family’s distant relation to the third and his magnet release

I think that Kakashi explained that they didn’t have the resources or infrastructure to carry out a proper counter or punish the sand so they let it go because the sand wanted peace for now and also didn’t have the resources or infrastructure to continue. But then they had three other villages, at least, who were eyeing Jonah’s like a fat injured lamb.

wow, now that you mention it your super right. iv never seen anyone else use the wind style with giant fans except the sand village. from a writing stand point, it would be hard to deal with a skill like that being wildly used, since its pretty overpower and usually an instant win.
When the Sand Shinobi were introduced they were regarded as some of the strongest ninjas but it was explained that they had recently invested in making each ninja individually strong due to cutbacks on how many ninjas they could produce, so they seemed extraordinarily powerful to us at the Chunin exam and had their own powers that they had uniquely trained in. But Temari lost to Shikamaru, Kankuro lost to Shino, and Gaara (who had years of specialized training) nearly lost to Sasuke and lost to Naruto who only had a few weeks of one on one training. Then, when you remembered that the Sand Trio were siblings, you realize that there was an age advantage for Kankuro and Temari in terms of years as genin. They were impressive when introduced but their special gimmicks made them powerful (aside from Temari who is bamf and would have beat Shikamaru if the audience becoming casualties wasn't an issue), so when the gimmicks were known they were much easier to defeat. However, we only saw a small glimpse of their techniques when they were holding back to go full throttle in the war, but the reason why ninja are so dangerous in the Naruto world is a variety of techniques and power, not just a single strong ability.
sorry I meant like the series started off trying to give us unique aspects of each of the great nations and talking about the tribes which makes then up. we can name clans in the leaf and mist. we can see unique fighting styles in the sand but the cloud village is literally like (we use lighting) but anyone with lighting element can use it . u can't name one clan from this cloud nor any special blood line. u can even find that in lesser villages but not in the cloud ,well I guess that's the black lighting but ......idk if I'd count that

The Hidden Sand wants fertile land.
The 1st Hokage has the ability to just create fertile forests anywhere.
The 2nd Hokage knows water jutsu and is skilled enough at it to produce water with it. He also knows sealing jutsu and sealing scrolls exists during this time period. Sealing scrolls can be used to stores materials and objects.
Could they have not used that combo to just turn portions of the Hidden Sand fertile?
Worst case scenario the 2nd Hokage convinces the 1st Hokage into not going into Hidden Sand territory for security reasons and/or the trees can't be sustained for long due to the Hidden Sand's lack of fertility.
However there is a workaround. Soil fertility is based on the presence of organic matter in the soil. This helps provide nutrients for plants and prevents water from escaping the soil from evaporation. This is why fertilizer and mulch is so useful and prized by agriculturalists and have been used for a long time. We're talking BC era.

I’d agree that the sand was the weakest of the villages, at least until after the 4th shinobi world war. Mostly because of gara, him being friends with naruto, and temari creating what’s effectively a marriage alliance with the Leaf, they can import food to solve their food problems. Plus I’m pretty sure that gara is the strongest kage excluding naruto, which puts them in a pretty safe place in terms of military might. I actually think that if they aren’t the 2nd strongest currently, then they’re the third, and that’s just because the cloud has a perfect jonchuriko and 2 living kage.
Gaaras father was the worst Kage. He used Gold as a weapon in a village that needed money. He tried to kill Gaara but that would had the effect that Sukaku is gone.

Suna also has a very powerful kunoichi in Pakura, with her shakuton kekkei genkai. I really do not understand how such a powerful ninja could have been sacrificed by the village. Sure, it was to settle the peace with Kiri, but Pakura wasn't even aware she was being sent into a trap. It spoke volumes about how people from the Sand couldn't trust their own government or superiors. And the government couldn't trust their soldiers' loyalty to sacrifice themselves for the village. They're not united, not in the way the Hidden Leaf is united (with propaganda and the Fire of Will).

lot of missed opportunity with the hidden sand. imagine a clan of insect users focused on scorpions and scarabs and such. or a clan with glass release Justus. or if they had a academy or clan of puppet masters.
I just realized puppet jutsu fills the niche of shadow clone (bolstering fighting forces) and edo tensei (using dead shinobi and their powers). Of course shadow clone and edo tensei are way better suited for each of those tasks, but considering both were forbidden, it gave the sand a niche!
I hope you do a video on the Hidden Stone someday. The village with the least development and the least know shinobi, but the least number of Kage.

I feel as though they set an odd precedent in the Nartuo-verse with power-scaling and capabilities (I.E pain's summons' indefatigability, Great Sage Toad's clairvoyance, Monkey King Enma's role) and whether or not without Kaguya if Chakra would have evolved on Earth.
From what we were originally told of the Naruto universe it doesn't seem to actually be that old until the Otsusuki clan expanded the potential timeline. Natural energy being the progenitor of all Chakra would be an interesting theory as well that could tie into the native species of a life-fairing, eventual Chakra fruit baring planet.

This video really made me thinking, waht IF Reto hasnt had overestimated himself so much, what if he had just bought a second Biju, maybe Suna would have gotten Chomei instead of the hidden Waterfall of all villages (which is pretty interesting what Hashiramas intentions were by selling it to this village spesificlly and not just keeping it for Konoha instead) Maybe with 2 Jinchuriki they wouldnt have sealed Shukaku in this teapot 90% of his life, maybe with 2 Bijus they would have been able to culturize more Living space in the Land of Wind or something like that. Idk why Gaara never learned Magnet Release from his predecessors. It's the same for Konaha having no one else who knows Flying Raijin. The kage like never pass down their best jutsu. An exception would be Tobirama with Shadow Clones and Flying Raijin to ONE person which was Minato.

Magnet release came from Shukakku, gaara uses it and better than any previous kaze because he received it from the source as opposed to having to research it. He also taught magnet release to shinki so obviously he knows it
Flying raiijin is also a forbidden jutsu, there’s very few ninja outside of kage level that are even allowed to learn them. It’s like asking why the president doesn’t give nuclear launch codes to military members.

The one good thing they had is that they loved their village and all of them agreed that they don’t want to turn it into civil war.
Once you made it clear that this wasn't just about ninja strength. Sand village is very light on the things humans need to live, they should have mineral deposits, mines, and they have the ninjutsu available to make a paradise out there, but don't have much evidence for them doing much of that. With ninjutsu I think they could terra form large swaths of the desert.

Also shukaku isn't living in konoha forever, it's just for a brief time until everything is over plus the other villages don't have tailed beast either since there all roaming around.
Tbh I think you’re over-estimating what Naruto’s done for the village. Aside from encouraging trade and cultural exchange he hasn’t done much for the leaf aside from protect it as he’s not prodigious at governance. Naruto’s been lucky in that he’s had great back up from the other leaf ninja currently around helping him and the village in their own way. Gaara as far as we know doesn’t have that calibre of support. On top of that the strong tend to get stronger and part of the reason why konoha’s become the tech capital of the world is that the land of fire is the wealthiest and most populous land while the leaf is the strongest village. The sand may still develop really well under him but they benefit from few of the same things

That is why the academy and chunin exam were created. So similarly to how Naruto allows Kawakii and Boruto to stay in the village even though they can destroy it and kill everyone and no one can really stop them. Yes, the third wasn't perfect, but when a war is placed on you doorsteps you finish it. And that is what he did. The leaf wouldn't hold Lord Third in such high regard if he wasn't a great Hokage.

yeah the thing with magnet release is that when controling something magnetic the indevidual doesn't change at all. however when they forcefully magnetize something which is di-magnetic/not-magnetic, they gain those dark rings around their eyes hence why rasa only gains them when he uses his gold dust. and also explains why Gaara always has those rings as well. also since Iron IS magnetic the third Kazekage and Shinki don't gain the rings around their eyes

Good video, interestingly enough an idea that could've been worthwhile is tourism earlier on. Having tourists come internationally and spend money and using those resources to expand into area like buying land wouldve been a very good investment.
The Hidden Sand is not the weakest because if anybody knows anything about economics and war, nations like the Sand are the most impenetrable fortresses of death. Compared to nations like Iran, Iraq, etc.
Their home is their greatest weapon and utilizing a terrain which is death to anyone who hasn't lived there makes your nation a place where the risk always outweigh the reward.
Gaara is basically superman in his village and was fighting at the Kage level before he lost his virginity and can do battle with otsutsuki level threats even without having his number one asset (the landscape) support him.

There’s actually some weird plot holes around that time period. Ao definitely would’ve noticed and also how did zabuza grow up in the blood mist village time period when it was caused by obito who is basically his age?
@@austinbevis4266The Hidden Mist was already vicious before Yagura was put under genjutsu, but yeah it’s kind of a plot hole. In regards to your question, the Byakugan can’t easily detect genjutsu. Ao detected Danzo using Katsuamatsokami because he detected Shisui’s specific chakra from Danzo’s eye.

I think the reason they never made a Magnet Release Corp is that Magnet Release is still a kekkai genkai that isn't consistently passed down but is present in the village at a small level, since it's a mix of two natures like some other kekkai genkai it's probably hard to actually determine if someone can use it unlike doujustus that have a visible, physical alteration. What I mean is that the population that can mix both wind and earth together to make Magnet Release is very small and, even then, they have their own unique Magnet Release that it'd be hard to actually know if they could actually perform it. What if Rasa performed Magnet Release and no gold was around when he tried to see if he could do it? They would think he couldn't perform it. Gaara is surrounded by sand (and Shukaku gave him sand manipulation) but if he was born in the hidden mist he'd probably never know he could control sand. There's a 50% borne affinity for the ability and a 50% having the situations to be able to perform it. They could have probably increased their odds if they had a bigger population and they did selective offsprings like how blood-purity driven clans go about it.

I can understand it, and I didn't agree at first (still don't entirely, but you've definitely helped me see this side) but I can see why I should. I just don't agree. I don't know much about the Hidden Stone, and what I do know says they're probably weaker. I'd love to be proven wrong tho (I may love Gaara and Kankuro, even Rasa - fight me - but I love being proven wrong a little more).
I wonder if the hidden stone has the same agricultural issues. I mean, what grows in stone? At least some things grow in a desert. Iwa definitely has the military advantage, but Suna are some crafty ninjas. Iwa does have a more stabilized government, while Suna is a hot mess. (I'm not trying to make puns, they're just happening) Iwa also has a history of just not making allies while Suna seems to at least try to make allies sometimes. Suna definitely has the worse off economy. I honestly thin they're about tied.
Also, I think Rasa was put in an awful position and tbh, my own headcanon is that most of it is Chiyo's fault. Like I think she pushed him to make Gaara the jinchuriki and Rasa had no other options.
The third and fourth raikage are stronger than any kazekage. The third raikage fought 10,000 shinobi for 10 days straight. The 8 tails is stronger than the 1 tail(not necessarily cuz of the tails) and the kazekage are relative to the one tails and the raikage are relative to the 8 tails. So the raikage are stronger. Also war arc naruto is stronger than gaara. Gaara mid-high diffed the fourth kazekage while naruto mid diffed the third raikage. Also the third raikage is the strongest raikage in shippuden and the fourth kazekage is not the strongest kazekage. The hidden stone also have a perfect jinchuriki in killer bee. So yes hidden stone is stronger

I think the next storytelling product from the Naruto brand should had been more focused on politics and economics, etc. Growing with the audience. I like to think about more complex things about the world around this characters.
But instead of doing that they went for "the new people" with Boruto. It was Bad for the brand. The anime went more inmature and the manga implies a dark story, but with characters that have inmature and childish personalities and objectives.
The new fans they tried to bring to the brand never came. They are distracted watching tick tock and don't feel the nostalgia that Boruto is trying to provoque.
A good story about one of the previous wars and generations explaining more of the geography, economy, political conflict and war tactics. Exploring characters and stories from other generations (some that we already know and some new), and adding depth to the world where Naruto had his adventures.

Yes, gold is significantly heavier than iron. It's a much better conductor and significantly more resistant to corrosion. Even more interesting to me at least magnetic release makes things that are not magnetic, magnetic like sand and gold. I wouldn't say someone who uses magnet release on sand or gold something not naturally magnetic wouldn't be able to use it on something magnetic
Puppet style is able to throw ku-knife that is made of something magnetic "iron" but magnet release is not available to it. Don't get me wrong, a nation of Magnetos would be OP as f***, but then there is wood release.
Personally, i wouldn't want to live in the Sand only because i take seizure medication that reacts negatively with heat and i imagine it would be hotter than hell

I thought this was gonna be a ranking of the Hidden Villages. I'd say my personal ranking is:
5.Hidden Sand: No one wants to live there.
4.Hidden Mist: The many islands make it difficult to govern, and it is plagued by a historically corrupt government. The Lady Mizukage seemed to have made it a very culturally powerful nation, so it's also the most improved nation, economically.
3.Hidden Stone: Middle of the pack just because we know so little about them. Most stable government, with the least number of Kage, but also the WORST uniforms, like they literally wear bandanas.
2.Hidden Lead: Yeah, the best ninja come from here, it's where our personal favorites are, but it's not all sunshine. Lot's of baddies come from Konoha, and they've had more Kage than any other village (The Third actually took control of the village after the Fourth, so you could argue we should be on Kage #8). But they do have the Ramen Guy so they're still first alternate for the title!
1. Hidden Cloud: Always seemed to have its shit together. It's citizens appear the happiest, and actually had the incentive to train their Tailed Beasts, and not treat them like lepers. The concept of magnet release controlling sand is similar to the science behind Magnetos ability to control earth due to the attraction between minerals at a cellular level.
I feel like there is a good argument for the Rain village too. Yes they had Hanzo and the Akatsuki, BUT they only had those shinobi because they were constantly getting destroyed by their neighbors. They have the Poland problem when it comes to geography, they are vulnerable from every side. Also it's a North Korea style dictatorship based on a cult of personality and an industrial wasteland.

I’d say that the sand village has potential as a trade route that can be used for a heck of a lot of different things. The only village inside of a massive desert, capable of surviving a harsh climate, a place where you can trade and eventually build your economy on imports. As long as you’re not idiots by trying to declare war every week, you have some options. I’d say the train is an example of utilizing its unique value as a village.
As for what Gaara has changed, he turned a complete 180 from the approach of every other kazekage which was adversarial into alliance based. He’s establishing a better system at the moment.
