I later issued a correction but "0 Leaders" can't be killed and you never have to roll for them as casualties. If their force gets destroyed in a city assault/siege then they are later placed in the same hex as a friendly strength point.
It’s my understanding of the rules that you also don’t roll for every leader, just the leader designated to lead the attack (I.e. contributed their leader value)
@@devinmccane8343 You roll for each named leader that took part in the battle. "At the end of each Combat Phase (not round), each player rolls two dice for each of his named leaders which occupied a hex in which any friendly strength points were committed to a battle during the Combat Phase."
Big thanks for the video, just listening to this as will be learning the game tonight. Must admit thqt I've not looked up errata, might need to do it after tonight😁
I know, it was a short lived reprint and the designer has said on BGG that he will not do anymore print runs. Have you tried looking on the secondary market like eBay for a copy? That will most likely be the only way to get one at this point.
Too bad the rules and scenarios are so poorly written…40 year old rules. I gave away my copy…they had a chance to polish it up and clarify things but only worked on the map. Pity. John Grant should have never taken on such a project. He is also a real jerk on Board Game Geek if you ask questions. The errata proves the point…brand new printing and have to download errata…hilarious. Maybe I will buy a reprint in the future if a real designer works on it.

Very nice video!
Thank you!
thank you i have the orignal an love it but not sure on some rules
You're welcome. Which rules are you not sure about?
I am surprised to see even though its called Mark McLaughlin's war and Peace the errata says designer John Gant
@@SaxonChronicles Yes, McLaughlin was the original designer for the Avalon Hill version, but John Gant did the redesign.
I really want this but it appears to be out of print…..☹️

@@tabletoptemplar2486 I’m keeping an eye out on eBay but so far no luck 😟
@@Kinneyfamman88 Keep trying. Also possibly try BGG marketplace, some might sell it there too.
My copy is on its way!!!
Awesome! Hope you enjoy it.
