From now on I will no longer say I am a “huge” Hickok45 fan. I will say I am a fan of Hickok45, hugely. Sir, I guess you’ll always be an English teacher.
I knew Kickok45 was a teacher but I don't no much about his history. Is his name really "Lenny"? Is it true the history of this man was as a former police officer and teacher et al. Where can I find a summary of his history? He is an amazing teacher on his YT channel.
My gun friends think I'm an expert but the only thing I'm an expert at is nothing. I could sound smart when I say an Ed Brown 1911 frame grip safety radius is .250 and the Springfield is .220 but someone else found that out and I listened to the advice. I didn't figure that out and I didn't design the fitting jig to do that work even though I can and have done it. It's so important to be humble in all that we do. Be honest and be real. There is a lot to be gained from always learning but there is nothing gained when you stop doing that and become self absorbed. This is why I love this gun channel so much. Just good people enjoying firearms with good morals. This has to be the most respectable firearms channel on UA-cam and the most appreciated.
Blessed to see and hear Hickok45 today. Even at my age, 50th high school reunion two years late because of Covid-19! Hope to see Hickok45 at NRA meeting next month.
I was in the Marine Corps in 1995 serving on active duty as a SGT on Inspector Instructor duty in the midwest near my hometown. My sister was nearby and I would always complain about my CO. He was a Captain, ex enlisted, 2 tours on the Drill Field ETC... I think about 6 months went by and my sister and I were at the Marine Corps Ball that year. I invited her to come. My sister met my Commanding Officer that evening. He was very nice to both of use. When he left my sister said you never said he was black. I got out in 1998 and I don't think I have ever respected anyone more than him. He came to a school I went to after he himself was transferred to Camp Lejune. Just to visit me in the Enlisted Barracks and take me out for a beer. Thanks hickok you made me think. For whom ever may read this.
I used to go to the range with my grandpa all the time. His Alzheimer's and dementia stopped that a few years back tho. Watching your videos remind me of being on the range with him. He knew everything about his firearms. Always happy to teach anyone how to handle one and care for it properly. Keep doing what you do Hickok. Love your work. Best wishes

Wonderful. I went to my local gun store yesterday to get some 44 mag ammo so I can take my Redhawk out for some fun, and was told they haven't had any in a while. Fast forward to this morning and Hickcok45 posts his Sunday shoot-around of him shooting his Redhawk. Life is good.
Constantly amazed at the respectful, polite and considerate comments your viewers make. It is clearly a reflection of the care and respect you show for them …… “You can tell the character of a person by the character of his friends” 🙂 Thanks for all you do …..
Glad to see Mr. Hickock bring out a couple .44 Magnum revolvers to exercise them. And the words of wisdom are always appreciated. Take Care and Have a Great Week!
I agree with Hickok’s feelings about traveling by air. Other than fast long distance travel being a plus, it’s no better than being on a stinking city bus trapped at thirty thousand feet, with a good chance there being crazy people among the passengers.
Enjoyed the visit! I love revolvers too both big and small from 22 lr up to 44 mag. I think my favorite fun gun is a Smith and Wesson 625 in 45 acp. Pretty similar to 44 special power wise lots of smack without lots of kick.
You mentioned "painful" shooting in reference to the Model 29 4" and HOT .44Mag loads. Made me think about a time in 1973 I bought a Thompson Center Contender in 30-30, standard barrel. First time out Silhouette shooting with it using factory ammo I could only get eight rounds out before the webbing of my firing hand had split and was bleeding all over the stock wood grips. On the way home I stopped and bought some Pachmayer grips and found them much let painful. I later purchased a .44Mag Bull Barrel for it and it became my go to setup for all future Silhouette matches. Thanks for the memories and I thoroughly enjoy your Sunday Shoot-a-Rounds watching them from Loveland, Colorado.
