I have been lucky enough to have been here from the start of the Sunday shoot a rounds. It is my favorite video of the week. I look forward to see what the Professor has to say this Sunday. Your the reason we are moving to Tennessee. I fell in love with your weather. I'm sitting up her in Illinois hell up to my armpits in snow watching the professor shooting in a light jacket we all know he is using a propane heater. I use the same one for my winter camping. Who am I kidding I'm not winter camping anymore. I did that when I was dumb and younger. The colder the better and the survival camping trips in scouts. I don't think I could have had any more fun as a kid. My dad was a real superhero. He was out there with my brother and I freezing his Chones off just to make us happy. Then there was the ice fishing. No wonder my dad brought everything but the kitchen sink camping. For me if it didn't fit in my backpack I didn't need it. My dad's rule was if it doesn't fit in the pickup truck we don't need it. He would bring a lot of crap camping. I just amused him and loaded it up. It's a 2 way street. I just liked to go minimalist that's why my AR-15 shoots many calibers. If I leave it set up for 5.56 then I can use my .22lr conversion kit for it and then I can shoot small game or I could set it up for 300 blackout and wish I had a suppressor and a SBR they are bad here in Illinois. Then I would have a good deer rifle or the .458 SOCOM and have a big ole fun gun to shoot. Don't know what I would do with that caliber but it's fun to use. I could use it to try 1000 yard shooting with it. I have great luck with my 45-70 and that's kinda why I built it because the 45-70 was my dad's favorite round. He had it in a revolver back in 1976 with his Phelps Heritage 45-70 revolver. That handgun would shut a range down because everyone wanted to check it out and try to shoot it. Most of the time he would but a little guy coming up to my dad and asking to shoot it was usually a no. My dad. Would ask you if you would like to try it and them most people would say yes. Back then it was the only company that I know of that offered a 45-70 revolver. Ok so this is way too long sorry. Happy Safe Shooting 🇺🇸💪.
Thanks for sharing important thoughts about how social media allows us to live in an echo chamber where no new info or thoughts that disagree with our pre-existing views get in. Good morning Hickok45! Greetings again from the Sunday morning breakfast club at the Sportsmans Club. We are running late this morning because a big old oak tree decided to come down in the storm last night and block our driveway. Two John Deere farm tractors, several chain saws, a wood chipper, many fellow members, WAY too much unwanted advice , a few hours later, and we are back to watching your video at the club. It was nice to see the Model 29 out and getting some exercise. I'm one of those that enjoys shooting revolvers far more that semi autos. My dad took many a deer with his 29 and still loves to come out with us to show us what " raw American Firepower is like". I'm glad you are getting ready for fall and the weather getting more cool. We can always tell it's fall at the club because, as it gets cooler, our club President starts to put on his winter fat layer to prepare for hibernation. He also starts to hoard beef Jerky and trail mix in his 21 year old pickup truck in preparation of starting to " nest" for the winter. Anyway... have a great week Sir!
"People often have a tendency to over-value what they don't have, and under-value what they do have." Something my grandfather always used to say back when I was a young-person. Keep up the great work Hickock, I always enjoy your Sunday chats. God Bless
Where I work, we sell honda generators, and I think they are great units, but for the casual user, the price is hard to justify. We own a dual fuel champion, I want to say its in the 3200 watt range, but I can't swear to it. It is an inverter unit, with electric start, runs our refrigerator and freezer without trouble. We enjoy it and it always starts. We have only ever used it on gas, but from what I have heard propane is just as good, just less watts.

I appreciate Hickok getting into Western tropes and the idea of being the fastest gun in the west. Even if you shoot someone twice, they might tag you back as they fall. Hollywood made people believe that bullets are instant-death, and that's just not the case. Love these Sunday Shoot Arounds!
The Westerns are fun. On MeTV I record Have Gun Will Travel, Wanted-Dead or Alive, and Rawhide every Saturday. Don't always get to watch them all. The Rifleman, seen every episode. It ran for five years. It's my favorite western. Good shows when there is nothing else on. Thanks for sharing.
Always a pleasure to see that Model 29. It inspires me to hold onto my dear favorites. Please feature it as often as you want, and maybe more often than that. I love all your S&W revolver videos and and am glad you finally made one for the Model 28! Been waiting a long time.
The best bang for your buck on a 3500amp Gen/Inv is the Harbor Freight Predator or Northern Tool Powerhorse. Same generator, just a different swing on each. I personally own the Powerhorse. Very quiet. Lots of features. It's been very reliable.
Your points on social media are 100 percent accurate. Social media ,with its algorithms, have created an echo chamber depending on a person's deposition. For example if your conservative it will show you conservative media only and same goes for liberal media. Websites like UA-cam or Facebook do this to keep you coming back by curating your content. This is not a crime or anything to be mad about, but something we should be wary of. Great video!
The Sunday Shoot a Round is a great way to sip on a cup of coffee, reflect on the past week, and think about how you might change your approach toward the upcoming week(s). Life gets busy, thanks for forcing me to carve out an hour each week to reflect and engage the brain cells that we don't use as often as we should hickock 45, much appreciated!
Can’t believe I watched the whole thing. You cured my attention deficit syndrome. Checks in the mail. Too much generator is better than not enough, especially if it has variable output engine to meet demand. More efficient & quieter. Solar is always desirable (if you accurately judge requirements with supply)
Always get excited when I get an UA-cam notification that there’s a new uploaded Hickok45 video. If I don’t look at it immediately, I know I’ll have something to look forward to later. “Life is good”
I completely agree with trades for jobs and how lucrative they are. It’s nice to get some of these younger generations into them since most aren’t and they are all struggling for employees. I love being in the trades and I’ve done better than most that went to college
I purchased a 50th anniversary Model 29 the first month they became available. It came in a beautiful wood case with tools and the the gun has gold inlay. I never got around to shooting it and it remains in unfired condition. I do have other .44 Mags and another model 29 that I do shoot. One of the other .44 mags I have is the original Colt Anaconda. Again, I purchased it when it first became available. I manager to hold on to the Anaconda and the Model 29 anniversary model. I have shot the anaconda. Maybe I put 300 - 400 hand loads though the anaconda. I also purchased when it was first available the Anaconda in .45 Long Colt and like a dummy I traded it off and still regret it to this day. Your model 29 looks way cool !!!! I enjoy watching your channel. Ricky from IBM, Ret
My son is a tradesman. Heavy truck mechanic, not sure what the ticket is called but he was on overtime Saturday because of a shortage of licensed mechanics and also one of the older fellows is off because of a "stint" being installed and heart issues. not sure when he is back to work. I inherited firearms from Dad(used his) bought my first Shotgun, a 410 Cooey from Chapple's department store. Because they were closing the doors after many years. I think in 1978 or 79 not sure ,didn't keep good records then. But the local police would have their record book because of regulations. Maybe the RCMP has that log. Anyway, Love your channel.
We have a generac, 32Kw I think, and it ran our entire house for five days during the ice storm last October. It runs on propane, seems like it used about 200 gallons. I might be mistaken on that amount. We’ve had generacs at three different homes and have had good luck with all of them.
Im glad u grace us with ur experience and wisdom, it is prìceless and much appreciated. I agree that managers who dont like people turn into monsters, i have one. Thanks for this video.
You might check out the Whisper models of generators. A couple of contractors I worked for through the decades used their welding machines. They have the quietest exhaust system of any welding machines I have ever used and a wide variety of electricity supply devices. Good luck with whichever brand you settle on.
Good morning-great coffee time chat. About generators- I have two 6500w portables on wheels and they have done well over 20 years of hurricanes in Central Florida. Have needed them every year. Also used in home repair business for 10 years-easy to throw in back of pick-up and power tools on job or around house. Have had to survive 3 weeks one year on generators. That was just first that year-had 3 more that knocked out power from 1 to 5 days. Would run one generator 5 hours on 5hours off and alternate between generators. Worked perfect. Don't underestimate needs. Takes nothing to run fridge and a couple lights but plug in the coffee pot , start frying the eggs and sausage in electric pan and pop down the toaster and listen to that generator wind up. As far as gas 5 gal will last 12 hours at medium use. I alternate generators so as to check oil and top off fuel. I know if one breaks I still have back-up. But just like guns I have always wanted more but this plan has served me well. There have been times when family needed 1 and it was easy to take them a spare. Thanks for being you
In portable generators Honda in my opinion is the best. In my LE career we used them in all types of conditions and they worked every time. We even had two of them on our rescue truck.
Hi Hickok Love you videos.Bought new mod29 in 8 3/8" 1974 also .Love that gun it been great.Shot a few critters over the years.I "ll be hunting deer this fall. Lord willing. Also blessed with a 8 3/8" 27 and Mod 17 my three favorites.God Bless you all enjoy
Two years ago I bought a Westinghouse portable dual-fuel generator large enough to run virtually my entire house including A/C and two refrigerators for less than $1500. If you do go with a portable generator be sure to install a transfer switch, either manual or automatic. Generac and others make good permanent automatic generators but unless you lose power relatively often or for long durations they may be overkill.
You are so correct, as a tradesmen myself.. parents want their children to go to college, they no not what a skilled laborer can $$$make.. a good sheet metal bender (HVAC) can make upwards to $40 per hour!!!
One great gun to shoot love the point and shoot I can't hit the target like you sir but, fun to shoot I enjoyed your video and my coffee God bless you and your family
Beautiful firearm ... the only 44 Magnum I have fired is my brother's Taurus which is a nice firearm for that price range, has a ported barrel which is very nice. We were shooting canned goods and water jugs and man .... what a show! Was surprised to see the front of the cans blow outward like that. They looked like they were shot from the backside towards us .... was not expecting that much power. The soft hollow points was very impressive.
i've learned with generators that if you want high output but only last's a few seasons then get a cheap brand or go middle of the road with everlast, but if you want long term performance with a slightly lower output then go miller, generac, cat, or honda...my everlast welders and generators out/perform those big box brands any day of the week. also diesel is alway's better if you can get it
I bought Generator from Northern Tool about 15 years ago and it still works great. I did have to have the carburetor rebuilt once due to the fact that I let some unleaded gas sit in for too long. Northern usually has some very informed folks working there and have a good deal of knowledge. You are correct about Honda engines. I have a pressure washer with a Honda that I have has for about 10 years and still starts after the third pull. My generator is 4500 watt and I can run my refrigerator, well and an electric Fan and some lights. It is not large enugh to rung the electric stove or Heat pump, but it all depends on your needs.
It's very nice to hear you talking. In top of that a very good information on guns and rounds. It's a class on guns and life. God bless you. Thanks for shearing. Saludos from Puerto Rico. Pd: I have a Generac 6500 and I can run the house completely with AC but I also have a Predator 3500 which is the one I used the most. Runs everything except the AC.
Have had several Generac’s ,65kw,22kw. Koehler 45kw,Honda 5500. Better service with Generac. My generators all ran for several days without a problem. Routine maintenance and service is the answer for good results for any generator. Haven’t determined air cooled better than water cooled! Figure the bigger you get, water cool is the answer
I would recommend either the whole house generator from Generac. My grandma had one. Was great, ran off propane. My old boss had a Generac with the switch that he flipped on I believe it was an inverter switch. Kept it outside, gas powered but all he had to do was plug it in outside and it ran through the power panel in the basement. Loves it too

I think it might complement something.
Great video as always. Your a great philosopher and a hell of a shooter.
Never bring a Knife To a Gun fight..
But always have a Knife on you
Beauty of this Channel is ,you get to learn about Guns from a man with Experience . and its fun to watch .
Haven’t missed a Sunday shoot a round. Keep em comin Hickok
Just found them...all aboard now
Thank you hickock you are a treasure never stop doing what you do🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Happy Sunday my friend 🙏🏽🇺🇸
I think what Hickok likes to shoot just as much as anything is the breeze.
Thats the main reason i like the sunday videos.
@@ExtremelyRightWing me too! I enjoy his sage advice ( and humor ) on many topics.
Exactly right.
morning john good to see you on this sunday afternoon that is one awesome 44 have a great week
We can all aspire to a love story like Hickok and his model 29 🤘😂

Very much enjoyed your show today keep on shooting!
I love how Hickok45 is so wholesome and badass at the same time.
Good morning from Kuwait 🇰🇼
Im glad u grace us with ur experience and wisdom, it is prìceless and much appreciated. I agree that managers who dont like people turn into monsters, i have one. Thanks for this video.
You might check out the Whisper models of generators. A couple of contractors I worked for through the decades used their welding machines. They have the quietest exhaust system of any welding machines I have ever used and a wide variety of electricity supply devices. Good luck with whichever brand you settle on.
The grass is always full of brass at hickok ranch ,learned form your shooting and real life advice thanks and the checks is in the pony Express .
People should learn to have good manners and treat each other with respect.
Manners must be taught again! You have good manners Sir!
Thanks for being you
Wow 🤩 44mag!!!! That makes my day sir👍👍
Peace and Love from Japan 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇯🇵🇯🇵
S&W SS 629 factory compensated 6”…. The only way to go. Qualifies for “last gun on earth for the last man on earth”…. My fav in inventory handgun
In portable generators Honda in my opinion is the best. In my LE career we used them in all types of conditions and they worked every time. We even had two of them on our rescue truck.
Happy Sunday hickok45 👍
That’s a big one! I got the 29’s little brother, the 19.
My first gun was a S&W 6 inch model 19-4! Still have it and still love it.
Hi Hickok Love you videos.Bought new mod29 in 8 3/8" 1974 also .Love that gun it been great.Shot a few critters over the years.I "ll be hunting deer this fall.
Lord willing.Also blessed with
a 8 3/8" 27 and Mod 17 my three favorites.God Bless you all enjoy
Hey mr. 45 thanks for suggesting a couple movies recently, I watched thunderbolt and lightfoot, and the getaway ,, great flicks
I love 44mag, both my 629 and Henry big boy are just a lot of fun to shoot. I wish I could get primers right now though.
Great sound on this video. That gong made my ears ring!
I have a kahr 45 compact never had a malfunction with that little 45 and it is a sweet shooter one of my favorite carry guns
My church!! Lol. Great shootaround- happy Sunday, 45!!
Always enjoy your videos and discussions so much. Thank you!
i've learned with generators that if you want high output but only last's a few seasons then get a cheap brand or go middle of the road with everlast, but if you want long term performance with a slightly lower output then go miller, generac, cat, or honda...my everlast welders and generators out/perform those big box brands any day of the week. also diesel is alway's better if you can get it
I bought Generator from Northern Tool about 15 years ago and it still works great.
My favorite gun Smith & Wesson Model 29 aka 44 Magnum aka The Dirty Harry gun
It's very nice to hear you talking. In top of that a very good information on guns and rounds. It's a class on guns and life. God bless you. Thanks for shearing. Saludos from Puerto Rico.
Pd: I have a Generac 6500 and I can run the house completely with AC but I also have a Predator 3500 which is the one I used the most. Runs everything except the AC.
Sunday morning coffee with Hickok.
I bought mine right after i ets'd 35 years ago. Still love it. I got a 629 now too both 8 3/8".
Sir, this is the best UA-cam channel l ever saw!
Loves it too
Thank you for another good video for Sunday morning appreciate what you do and appreciate for everything that you stand for looking forward to seeing your video next Sunday have a great day
