Great video! Sandown is a great place to go for "back to basics". No rules apart from good, considerate, airmanship. Hi-viz jackets are specifically and literally banned. The runway is a little bumpy but no more so than most grass strips. Also the light ground on the right at the far end of 23 is 400m of astroturf which makes for good landing even when other grass strips are a bit squelchy! And the food is excellent, especially when the pizza oven has been fired up.
Hi Matt, thanks for your comment. I fully agree, Sandown is a great destination with good facilities on site. Runway (and mostly the taxiway) is bumpy and I would advise caution on landing and taxing especially for those who are going to be there for the first time. The Isle of Wight is a nice place to explore.

Isle of Wight is a great holiday destination. The runway seems to be quite bumpy at Sandown.
Well said, IoW is very well look after. Sandown is popular, maybe not as much as Bembridge :)
