EWM are really nice welding machines! I have the first version of Picomig 180, probably 10 years old now. The machines were red at the time, and EWM doesn't change styles every year, so the new 220 Pulse still has the same casing and feeder. I also have a Tetrix 300 AC/DC with Retox 12 pole TIG torch. Nice to be able to change parameters and programs on the torch. Previously also had a Taurus 405 S, but sold it due to changes in my business. I am currently employed, and where I work we only have Kemppi welding machines. Works daily with Kemppi MasterMig 205 and 355, both pulse machines. 355 has a few more programs, including double pulse, MAX cool and MAX position. Really nice machines too! Looking forward to more videos on how the 220 works!
Back then atleast, it was the only 230V pulsed welder from a reputable Brand in the world. now with the inbuilt PFC, it can actually weld with high amperages without blowing breakers all the time.

Very interesting. Thanks... These look FANTASTIC, especially the roller system. I still chose the Fronius 2200 and am absolutely delighted with it. I now have the 4.5m lead and torxh which has a light and current change facility on the torch, it's superb. Does EWM have such torches?

Ignore the prices though on here as much cheaper via a supplier . I'm hoping to do a much better review shortly on all the EWM I have when I grab a min . Cheers for the comments 👍
I have a Fronius - I asked their support directly for a pin out of the TransSteel 2200 MIG welder TIG socket and within 5 mins I had a service manual emailed over with all the info and more. I was a bit shocked but TBF they were great with me. Now OPREL on the other hand what a load of ***
I agree fronius are useless
I'm not sure if they are useless as never got that far . Nobody ever got back to me so was a none starter were as EWM went beyond and even paid me a visit 👍
@@smallgarageworkshop6119 the machines are brilliant, but as you say the after service is what makes or breaks the sale. I had a Fronius machine and had trouble with jt. They had the machine for 2 months and couldn’t solve the problem. Very disappointing. Your EWM kit looks amazing and just the fact they gave you a visit is cool. Well done on the machines 😎 👌
@@smallgarageworkshop6119I’ve had trouble with Fronius and they didn’t help at all. Your EWM kit looks proper smart love the matching set going on. What a great thing of them coming down for a visit.
They're not.. These machines are slightly better but from experience recently the after sales at Fronius is improving
