    Angie taught me the Bisaya word for those check point police, they're called "dakop" which for me was easy to remember because it sounds like "the cop!" Lol. Thanks for the update Greg, it's looking great 👍🏻

    one time i grouted tile seams, and masking tape on every joint kept it cleaner and easier to fill to the top and clean it because the tile was not easy to wipe clean .
    Got a few new sponges? that Tile is a very nice improvement ! Good work guys ,
    Try a small sample of driveway paint , test it .

      There are a lot of joints to fill with grout. Going to tale done time. Sealing is also going to be a tough job. Thanks for watching.

    The guys are killing it with the tile! I was wondering what they'd do around the poles. Great work! 👍
    I got my initial 13 Balikbayan boxes in around 45 days, shipped from Utah to L.A., then to Manila and delivered to our Pampanga house. My last 6 boxes took 50 days, and we're having Forex hold them at the Valenzuela warehouse until we get home next Monday. We're spending 9 days in Metro Manila, at our condo (Church stuff this week).
    It cost me $125/box, except one. It had my guitars in it, so was 48" (double length), and cost $195. I was impressed with how fast the boxes got here! In the past, my late Wife and I would send boxes to her Sister, in Calamba, Laguna, and it could take 3 months to deliver!
    I did several videos about packing, shipping, and recently, delivery.

    We painted our driveway with that rubberized product but ours is not nearly as smooth as your carport, you'd be ok with it. Our carport is all tile and there's no issue keeping it clean.

    You can get a product that is like plaster. It is self leveling. It does work, and you can add 50/50 with extra sand. Might be worth checking out.

    Sorry, I missed the reason why you aren’t tiling the entire carport area? It seems that it would be OK to drive on?

    • @buildingthephilippines
      @buildingthephilippines  Місяць тому +1

      I'm nervous to drive on it. So many locally who tells me, "I drive on mine" have a multi cab. Just decided not to do it.

      @@buildingthephilippinestilework is most likely never to be recommended in a carport that would certainly require a non-slip surface.

      @buildingthephilippines  Місяць тому +1

      @philipmasie I don't feel comfortable driving on tile. Some say it's OK, some say they could crack over time. I decided not to chance it.

      @@buildingthephilippines good thing you had that in mind, materials used most specifically on finishes must consider the use intended as per specification. Carports /garages that are contiguous to driveways calls for a rigid task and may be subject to engine oil stains from washing and auto maintenance activities that i prefer concrete paving blocks or simply pavement with transverse groove finish to serve its purpose. Thanks for the reply, that was prompt.

    Rubberized paint is ok, but overtime, it'll be very hard to clean, especially the tire marks that'll be left behind by your pickup truck.

      Plants do better in the ground. If in pots, they need to be large ones.

    Hello Greg.I remember from a past vid you did,that your pool is 6x9.How many skimmers do you have?.TIA.

    • @buildingthephilippines
      @buildingthephilippines  Місяць тому

      2 skimmers and 4 returns. My understanding you need 2 returns for each skimmer, to ensure you keep the pressure of your pool pump in an acceptable range.
