To touch on the radar device, police dont really use radar all that much. The common police tool used as a speed measuring device is the "speed lidar". Essetially, its a lazer. A lazer gun with a scope on it and its deadly accurate. Radar still exist in some scout cars front and rear but more commonly you'll see the lazer being used. Police have your speed welllllll before you even see them because the lazer has a massive range with pin point accuracy. Food for thought

Yes, Lidar is the most common. But “radar” is the most identifiable term for people to research their charge.
