Sorry about the weird scrolling words near the end of the video - missed that when editing 😅.

I’m so glad that u guys r settled in and back in business. I do a 48% water discount it leaves room if u wanna add a purée or a milk or both. The color combo was pretty. Those r going to take a while to dry. Try the 59/59 or 48% discount. What I do is I steam the top of all my soaps even if they have embeds n bio glitter on top. It’s absolutely gorgeous when u steam the top it stays a gorgeous high gloss and even when u let it dry down after u steam it it still is high gloss n I luv to add extra glitter right after I steam it. It’s gorgeous. I should try it it’s life changing. lol try it u will luv it. U should do some different tops. I’m like u I am a creature of habit, but once I started doing different tops n designs it made a big difference. Explore different things have fun. That’s what it’s all about, right?! lol

I love the concept you are striving for in your quest for a Forrest core design…..there are so many possibilities…..I too continue to be fascinated after living in the PNW for over 50 years the various colors of green surrounding us daily…..Mother Nature know Best!

Am I the only one who is getting “Stranger Things” vibes from this video? The dense forest, leg warmers, the soaping music and your furry sweater during the cut. I think you are on your way to cinematography greatness!!! ❤

Just got this soap today and wow it is perfect, smells so good ..like a fairy forest, BUT JERIKA.....I can't believe your low prices for huge bars of soap!!! I don't think you realize the level you are on, I've been a soapmaker for 17 years, I have purchased and followed so so many makers and I just want to tell you that you are in my top 3 soapmakers, and the other 2 more per bar and they are not as big as yours. Anyway, lovebthe soap, scent, packaging ❤. And you and your hubby make it extra nice as well.

YAY - we get to see Cale too !!! I feel like I could smell the soap from here in CA 🙂 I have some Kulig fragrance oils too - and there is one that I just LOVE LOVE LOVE - It's a Blue Sage + Sandalwood f/o and I love it !!!! I love the tips and tricks....and the honest reviews for your new techniques you are learning. When it comes to soaping and body care, I watch you and Ellen Ruth 🙂 Thank you, again, for another AMAZING tutorial !

@@JerikaZimmerman - Hi Jerika. I made some soap tonight - using your T&S 10" hard soap recipe - my favorite !!!! I used three colors and then uncolored for the base (I want to see if it discolors at all). I used cappuccino by Bramble Berry, indigo powder from Windy Point, and some titanium dioxide from Bramble Berry. I use a whisk for stirring in my colors and fragrance oil then will stick blend it a little. The fragrance oil behaved really well. I will send you an update after I cut it tomorrow.

Hi Jerika--one invaluable tool I use to mix my mica and a bit of oil is a mini-mixer/frother. They're super inexpensive just about anywhere! When I make soap, I divide it all first, then dump in all the mica/oil, then I mix it, often by hand. It tends to accelerate less, but I also work as quickly as possible, and I don't pour anything until everything has been mixed in. I also try to make it a point to hand-blend a fragrance oil the first time I use it, and it's the last thing I add to the batter since it's the "wild card" variable. I really love the way your soap looks and I wish these videos had the ability to transmit scent as well! Can't wait til the business reopens!

  • @Twistedtree7

I think mixing in your micas first then adding the fragrance to each color would have helped you out a little. Then you know the color is blended well enough before the fragrance can start to thicken it. Just an idea

I think you have settled into your new home very quickly. I wish I could be that efficient!
What is the width of the soap slices and their weight? They look sooo big!
Psst! Use smaller, more flexible spatulas for your different bowls and containers. You will waste less soap and brewing will be easier.
