    Isn't it funny how a person can just fall into something that they never would have thought would be their strength. Storytelling really isn't easy. Holding someone's attention while you just tell them a story is rarely done well. He's just brilliant at it, and he's accurate. He doesn't embellish things, he just tells the truth of what happened. What a wonderful successful job to have. I wish I could do it!

      I wonder if his friends on that trip have seen that video and can now understand what he was experiencing that he was unable to articulate at the time due to his age, fear and confusion. It was a shame that that trip estranged him from his friends and I’d love to hear they’ve been able to reconnect and talk about it over a beer.

    Mr. Ballen is THE BEST story teller on the Internet. There are other channels that do similar content now, sometimes even the same stories, and while I enjoy them - NOTHING beats listening to Mr. Ballen tell it. I am pretty sure his "personal" ghost story was the first one I saw on UA-cam, never saw his TikTok content or anything prior about his Navy Seal stories etc. This interview was a great interview, glad you guys had him on.

    A Swedish researcher came up with a very likely scenario as to what happened to them. I forgot his name. But the story was something like this: they put up camp near a hill, below a mountain called ”mountain of death ” or similar. It turned out that this particular mountain gets extreme weather: strong winds of -50 degrees. It would suddenly be -50 inside the tent and they ran outside without shoes on, to get away. They tried to make a fire. They froze to death. A similar event happened in Sweden in the 1970s. What about the rest of the details? Animals ate their eyes and tongue. The heavy snow covering their bodies eventually crushed their bones. The radiation came from hiking in another mountain range previously where there had been nuclear waste in the area. There were pictures from that hike too. Edit: I realise this may not explain the lights in the sky. However, a good storm would create an interesting sky. I once saw a sky after a storm that looked green and pink.

      Yeah, I have a book about this theory. And the topography and weather creates these crazy sonic sound phenomenon that apparently disoriented them and chased them out of the tents.

      This version still doesn’t explain the blunt force trauma injuries, missing tongue and absolutely deadly decision to leave their tent in -30C temperatures.

    • @Full_Otto
      @Full_Otto 9 місяців тому

      @@macioluko9484 Take your tinfoil hat off. This theory literally explained all of that. The blunt force trauma was from their bodies being covered by heavy snow, which eventually crushed their bones and caused a fracture. The missing tongue was eaten by bugs after their bodies had been lying there for months without being found.. And they left the tent in panic due to the extreme temperature change inside the tent, and were desperate to create a fire outside. Hypothermia is well documented to cause confusion and disorientation.

      I never heard that one before and I dove deep on this story (I read through translated autopsy reports), so no offense but I don't believe that's correct. a few had crush injuries consistent with a powerful impact or possibly a fall. As much as everyone wants it to be supernatural / govt coverup... I believe the 2021 slab avalanche theory seems to account for most everything. If they woke to an avalanche and a few of their friends were injured, adrenaline is pumping --- they probably left the tents to get the injured to safety thinking they could go back for their clothes later, not realizing how very cold it was and how quickly hypothermia would set in. The radioactivity was trace amounts and accounted for by two of the team working at a nuclear facility.

    I’ve always felt that the Dyatlov Pass incident was a case of wrong place wrong time. The hikers were miles off course, in Siberia, in the dead of winter. The local tribe, The Mansi said they had seen lights for months before these kids deaths. I believe that they stumbled upon a testing area for low grade nuclear testing and died because of it. The “survivor” Yuri Yudin said the same thing.
