    The buildings and park on the west side of San-San Road north of the Akari Cafe are quite new, completed maybe a year ago.
    During the Cold War, that corner used to be the South-East corner of the air field of Tachikawa Air Base. It has been reduced a lot since then, giving space to buildings and the Showa Kinen Park.
    I know this place because it is seen in a certain anime franchise ... Maybe I'll do a "pilgrimage" some time in the future when borders have opened. :)

      You know a lot about Tachikawa! That's awesome! I wonder what anime showed that much detail... 😄 Yes, please come visit Japan when everything's back to normal. (I did a little pilgrimage to "Your Name" sites few weeks ago...😄)

    The park is quite large.I think it is a good place to go when we keep social distance like these days.I heard there is a big typhoon coming.Be careful.😍

      @VSV_Japan  4 роки тому +1

      Yeah, everybody talks about typhoon now. This one is the biggest in years so I heard. You have to be careful too. Because we have 2 typhoons in a row and they seem to go to Korea after Japan.

    Thank you for this amazing video. I'll be coming to Tokyo in May (after being away for 3 years!) Tachikawa is in my list of places to visit. Green Springs shopping mall must be very new because it is not even in Google Street View!

      Oh yeah, you’re right. I just checked it but the Google Street View shows nothing but the empty space! 😁😁😁

      Thank you very much for the caring words. I always keep a water bottle and salt candies in my backpack but I can't wait for autumn! 😄

      Tachikawa completely transformed to a new look in the past few years and I was also impressed how drastically it changed! Thank you as always for watching my video!

    Hi. I think taking text out of your video thumbnail would be better to emphasize the thumbnail picture itself. The text of the thumbnail is very beautiful, but it seems to distract people from the more beautiful scenery behind it. (However, the 3D text that occasionally appears in the middle of the video is excellent.) Your video quality is very good, but I think your channel subscribers and video views are still too low. I dared to tell you that I wanted to be helpful to you. Please understand that the sentence was not smooth because I used Google Translator. I think your video is better and better than other Japanese street UA-camrs' videos.

      @VSV_Japan  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you very much for your feedback. My opinion is that if I got rid of the text, it may be nice as a regular scenery picture but I think it wouldn't serve as a thumbnail to promote the video. I know there are pros and cons about thumbnails so I need some time to think about it. But your feedback is greatly appreciated because sometime I myself think like that too... 😄 Anyway thank you very much for your encouraging comment!

      Thank you very much for watching! Yes, it was extremely hot. You may not be able to hear it but I made a sigh at 24:26 unintentionally. I was like "Ooops!" but it's certainly recorded 😝😄

      Maybe it's because it was Sunday when I shot this video. Hot weather for bathing in water like 21:10
