I personally think the design of the Firefly’s headlights and taillights, which resemble its logo, is excellent. This design not only stands out but also effectively represents the brand’s identity. By aligning the car’s visual elements with its logo, NIO has created a cohesive and memorable look that leaves a strong impression on consumers. Such consistency between branding and design can significantly enhance brand recognition and appeal, making the Firefly more than just a car-it becomes a symbol of the brand’s creativity and vision.
Not everyone. Just those who hate new tech. This is interesting time with the development of car. So much cool tech is rapidly changing the whole idea of car. And I just love it. Cybertruck also has steer by wire, 4 wheel steering and so much tech. And the whole platform is made in totally different idea. That's bold innovation and risk taking. It means they're fully going for the future. That's also what Nio does. Traditional automakers don't have anything to offer. They just lost their game.
I like it. Looks like a fun car for the younger people. Headlights are fun and give it a unique look which is hard these days. I'm assuming the performance is very good.
The Jones in the UK will be falling over themselves to have firefly, be the first to have firefly on their driveway, more talking point with the neighbours than their German rivals that will break soon as they fall out of warranty.
I love the trend to filling the bottom of the segments that had been lacking. I know this is just China, but in the U.S. we have the boltium, maybe the fiestiva, and perhaps the ModQ. Hopefully, someday we can get access to the Chinese cars too. IMHO that would be a good thing. Thanks for the video. I enjoyed watching.
Na, this is actually nice, And if it's going to Europe, i see all the more why that design was picked. Even if it might not be super popular with everyone in China, from the app comments. It has character and just fits with that whole European vibe, love it.
it is what is supposed to be by name . design is great, it has this non serious take on life, sporty and agile. price is also good. alfa romeo had 3 light front and back just different setup. overall it should be success if people will understand it
Like it a lot. They could have gone for stainless, aluminium, or kevlar look on the black. Hope they add that as optional. If they do that I may buy one even though I am not in the market for a car.
If they add aluminium, stainless or kevlar look as an option with regard to the black parts, I may have to buy one even though I am not in the market for a car. It nice, perfect as a small cat. It says "utility" in a very good way.
It looks fine to me. Similar to Mini, Honda E, VW Up, Renault Zoe and similar city cars. It has a unique brand and product identity, and both are tied together in a logical manner. Compare this to Jaguar’s recent rebranding and prototype, which was an absolute mess.
As someone who grew up as a passenger in my mom's 1994 Pontiac Firefly (Geo Metro but for Canada) this is almost a modern interpretation of it.. A small, tiny 5 door hatchback but an EV this time... Personally I love it. Its minimalist styling is clean and bland, something I'd expect for an entry-level vehicle much like how the Tesla Robotaxi has reduced its design to as many simple, castable pieces as possible...
The front and rear are pretty cool. I like the three headlights but they look a little too small and it looks kinda cheap but I’d drive one if it was available where I live. It makes Onvo and Nio look better in comparison - more bang for your buck.
The headlights are inspired by dragonflies... which have five eyes, including two large compound eyes and three smaller eyes with simple lenses. Just my guess
First glance I didn’t like it, the more I look at it, it grows on me. The lights will definitely stand out at night, just like firefly. Personally I like them
How would I make a profit selling for $20,000? I think it looks like it was designed for Europe by Volkswagen. Finally, is it going to have its own chargers? That would be terrible. I don't mean to be negative. I hope it's successful but I'm not going to increase my shares at this point. I like ONVO but not sure about this car.
I’m hoping that the battery pack is the same size and bolt pattern but with less battery cells inside. Creating new battery swap stations (even if it’s a hit) seems like a bad idea.
The current policies imposing tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles (EVs) and incentivizing the purchase of U.S.-made options like Tesla hinder free market competition and consumer choice. While supporting domestic industries is important, such measures often lead to higher costs for consumers and limit access to superior or more affordable alternatives. We believe that consumers should have the freedom to choose the products that best meet their needs, regardless of their country of origin. Policies that artificially inflate prices or restrict access to better and more affordable goods not only disadvantage the public but also stifle innovation and global competition
I think the central lights are a little bit bigger, should've been bigger with 2 smaller lights, looks a little weird, maybe if I keep looking at them they'll grow on me.
Now, you cannot compare this EV to the Model 3, this EV is designed for a mass production ,small , high quality inner city and most importantly low price. The market in China is demanding this type of EV, if companies do not revert to this type of EV they will not make it..
@ Come on at $20,000 US dollars and even cheaper with BAAS. Sometimes EVs do not have to be competitive against other EV manufacturers but against fossil fuel companies. If it cost me say 30 to 40K for a fossil fuel car but I can get a EV for less then 20K.🤔
Mike, it is just a matter of perception, really. What's wrong with the design of three-equally sized light, front and rear. Christianity embraces the Holy Trinity, right?
Just confirms NIO has lost its way.. e.g. who in Europe would buy such a Geek Auto.. at pay that much for an Ice Box on wheels.. unfortunately i hold alot of their shares.. on a positive, this means im used to dissapointment

Excellent car. What a game changer. Especially young peoples will get crazy on the size and bbeauty. Go Nio...
I like it, Really nice looking. The three light part is mildly weird, but certainly differentiates it.
firefly have compound eyes
The middle eye blends in the black band and is actually not visible if not light up.
I will prefer the tesla model q
@@johnsebastino4659😂😂😂 stock going to zero after that design
@@sammy9629 ??- keep watching

It is out of this world. Futuristic extraordinary. Very smart. Such a beauty . Headlights go with firefly bright light.
People tend to alienate things that are not use to their eyes. Just give it time, it's not a bad design but I think it is unique and well designed.
For a city shopper or first car for new driver it is lovely. Maybe aimed at the Asian market more but will sell in buckets.
"Smarter than a mini and smaller than a smart" -William Li
I think it was "Smarter than a mini and minier then a Smart"
Smaller than a smart and smarter than a mini?
At first I thought the Honda e was a nicer design, but I actually like the Firefly better. Plus half the cost.
Love it! It's a winner! It will sell like hot cakes. Better and Cheaper than its competition!
I really like it, it looks quarkey. It is designed exactly to meet its purpose. Small EV to move around city.
Gorgeous
😂😂
It’s really stand out from rest of the cars. I would buy one when it’s launched in Europe
Love it!
In Asia, we loves this type of car especially the young audience and lady driver. Believe me, if this car come to Thailand it will sell well.
The three lights are a rather iconic visual. Check out the back of your iPhone!
Well, it has character. It’s intriguing.
I like it. Brave design
I like the design but the new et9 flagship is magnificent!!! The tech suspension on that was cray cray
Looks awesome
When Cybertruck exists, nothing looks weird anymore.
Good point 😂😆
It’s supposed to be a smart, fun and economical car, so 3 headlights, why not? And don’t fireflies have compound eyes anyway.
❤ I would buy a Firefly car for everyone in my family if it was sold in the US! United State needs to end this idiotic tariff on EV's !
The design is signature design! Absolutely amazing! Wished they bring it in the USA … NIO did a great work on this one for sure
Before anyone complain about the evs appearance. Look at Tsla. And the cyber truck looks like doorstop.

@@olliteirikkostop it fanboy. Cybertruck is objectively embarrassing looking and useless as a truck. Get that cult crap outta here.
Nice car. ❤
I would 100% buy this as a second car for my family good commute and errand car to zip around in.
I like it. Looks like a fun car for the younger people. Headlights are fun and give it a unique look which is hard these days. I'm assuming the performance is very good.
I actually like the 3 lights. Chinese companies have been coming up with some pretty cool designs, CF moto being one example.
The young buyer and especially women will love it! I’m very inclined to buy one for my son if it makes to the US.
Very good-looking car. I have been looking at the Hummer for months and still find it ugly.
Actually I like it too. I like nature inspired design.
nice! hopefully makes the stock going up up up & up I need 32$ to break even.good luck......
In the long term, yes, no doubt about it. But it will take a while. I think in 2-3 years atleast with onvo and firefly fully functional
Very nice and amazing small car❤
Not Ugly... Interesting.
its a cute looking car. nothing wrong with the design.
I would buy this
this is very nice and practical. Super value for money
Its good looking car IMO
I like the design.
I like it! Fresh design, very cool ❤
The exterior looks exactly like honda e’ with just different lights design
Yes like the Civic 1980
I love ur sense of humor, man!!
I love the design but i just realised the three lights look like iphone cameras
Also the brand logo is sick
See one of those cute jumping spiders..
The Jones in the UK will be falling over themselves to have firefly, be the first to have firefly on their driveway, more talking point with the neighbours than their German rivals that will break soon as they fall out of warranty.
Didnt they just say that battery swap help hold value of car while tesla charging depreciation for the cars for cost of battery is ridiculous
It’s so cute. Love it
Likely 25k to 30k outside china then.
At least they can't be accused of copycatting some other car. I kind of like it
Is it battery swapping?
Pagani huayra has 3 round taillights and no one complained..

I like it and would buy one if they came to UK', it's distinctive.
Like it a lot. They could have gone for stainless, aluminium, or kevlar look on the black. Hope they add that as optional. If they do that I may buy one even though I am not in the market for a car.
I like it 🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful car
How many Smart and Mini cars are sold monthly in China?
Love it Unique compact high technology functional like the kia Soul
LOVE IT!!!
lots of negative comments on the headlights form the Chinese, but I think they look alright almost cool, certainly different.

I like it. Looks like a modern "old school" hot hatchback. At least it doesn't look like everything else on the road 😊
Looks fine except for headlight... headlight and taillight are nightmare !!
ye like it. Similar to that honda one, which was very expensive
It looks fine to me. Similar to Mini, Honda E, VW Up, Renault Zoe and similar city cars. It has a unique brand and product identity, and both are tied together in a logical manner. Compare this to Jaguar’s recent rebranding and prototype, which was an absolute mess.
It reminds me a spinner 😊. It has a clear association with a dinamic movment and right proportions (or a balance). I like the design.
I like it
Its a nice city car, i like it
that distinct raked C pillar reminds me a bit of the gorgeous Lancia Delta designed by Giugiaro in the 1980s

when i first saw it, i didnt like it. But some how I am slowly growing into it
The light at the bottom is what makes it look weird. I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to it. It looks very alien and unsettling.

A Jumping Spider staring at me is what I see! 🕷️
Exactly - I realized that too! One of those cute jumping spiders.
I now realised what it looks like - one of those cute jumping spiders.
Second look, surprising i find it unqiue and nice. I think actual car will give a better perspective.
Better car for half the price of a Honda e it’s a no brainer!!!

All the tariffs included, it will not reach 30k in EU.
