I know a Toyota Master Tech., he highly recommends to clean/replace the PCV valve which can clog up overtime & cause sludging. A cheap part & a very simple job; it's right up top near the injectors, can't miss it👍 "very important for the engine to breath"
Yo, replace that radiator asap! Appears you've got the original oem which is known to corrode & leak inside & into your transmission. "Pink milkshake" they call it, after damage has occurred.
@@texasnow3511 👍 yea it's all over the interwebs anyways it's a must. Good choice w/the car, have the same one a 2001 w/300k+ miles, all balljoints original & no wiggle/play, the timing belt can be abused till it snaps as it's a "non-interference" engine thus no damage. "It's a tank, love it 😄"
Thanks for the info as soon as I can I’ll get the radiator. Probably make a video of it. Let me know if there’s anything else that I should do to this car. I don’t have a lot of experience in Toyotas.
@@texasnow3511 There are at least four different part numbers listed for the thermostat gasket for this car. I had the one that came with the kit and leaked and then I bought one from Amazon which was too loose-fitting and got pushed out from one side, and finally, the one that worked was FEL-PRO p/n #38445. While I was struggling with problem I noticed the previous owner had used Permatex sealer to get around this problem. Thank you again your post showed what the real problem is and how to correct it, otherwise, I would have gone the permatex route. people like you make UA-cam such a great resource.
Thank you very much for the comment. That’s where I like to make these videos. It helps people out there and sometimes helps me learn things. I didn’t know.

"very simple, yet very important☝️"
That is a great suggestion. I replaced it on this vehicle. I guess I did not make a video.
@@texasnow3511 👌 perfecto
Also..make sure that jiggle valve is in the 6 o’clock position per Toyota. It will run 10+ degrees hotter in the 12 o’clock position.
Thank you for your comment. I didn’t even think about that. That is a great point.
Strange but very true👍

I did not know that thank you for telling me. I will replace it as soon as I can.
