The only proper punishment for the unprovoked and unjustifiable killing of another human being is either life without parole or execution. No exceptions. The only way to teach people to think twice about their deadly impulses is by physically rendering those impulses incapable of causing harm to others.

No what needs to happen is tougher prison stays. Jail is nothing but a retreat for these criminals. They are scared to go initially but once they get there they realize it's not that bad as long as they are able to socialize. They can work out, get drugs, smoke, and even eat all the honeybuns and Snickers they want. The fact that you can go to prison and join a gang or reunite with your homies is mind-blowing, we are literally making the criminals worse. This all needs to stop! Actual reform needs to happen where they hire retired military heads to really put the fear of God into these men while they are there. No day should be an easy day. I wouldn't be scared to take risks either, If knew the worst I'd get is a 5-10 years vacation to clear my head, and maybe even get a degree and write a book lol.
