NYC block turned into illicit open-air market for migrant crooks, prostitution: ‘It’s relentless’

- A stretch of Jackson Heights has deteriorated into an illegal migrant shopping district - an unchecked, open-air market where everything from women to stolen goods can be had, The Post has learned. NY Post reporter Kevin Sheehan shares this story.
Roosevelt Avenue near 91st Street is littered daily with migrant vendors hawking goods they ripped off from shopkeepers just steps away, while prostitutes proposition passersby at all hours - and frustrated merchants and residents say they’re helpless to do anything about it.
“It’s relentless,” said Milton Reyes, who manages Mi Farmacia pharmacy on the avenue. “You should see it on Saturdays. It’s so heavy, you can’t even step onto the sidewalk. There are a lot of doctors’ offices right around here and my customers don’t even want to get dropped off.

There's a woman using small 8 year old little girls they are not in school that are not even their own children selling mango and fruit cups. I followed the little girl. It saddened me but her lazy mother just lays on a couch. There's overcrowded rentals. They need to do a sweep for undocumented immigrants. These children need to be offered a safe place to live The streets can be very dangerous there at night and one night the little girl dropped her money and I picked it up out of fear for what might happen to her I sped up and gave it to her to build trust so I could get more in depth information about her at a later date. I'm very familiar with that area. They are used to seeing me. I'm so glad you did this. Im ballsy like yourself. I would love a job like that!! I'm an excellent researcher I would love to blend into that crowd I speak Spanish fluently. Those people would never see me coming. Lol. But yes that whole stretch right there is absurd I walked through 74th everyday for several months to 83rd and between 82nd and 83rd is prostitution and I currently live in Queens , Jamaica and this area is out of control as well. Everything in the world has a procedure. No one will sell you a pet without betting you first. No one will sell you their house without vetting you. No one will buy a pet, mobile, bag, car or house without vetting. Heck, we even check the menu before we order take away or restaurant food.
It’s shocking how “easy” it is to illegal migrate and legally migrate to some countries. You need to vet the applicant and there has to be a procedure that goes through at least 1-2 offices before it’s approved. It’s not supposed to be easy to migrate to a country.
You take your culture, habits, preconceived notions, education or lack thereof, etc with you when you migrate. If you can’t give the country anything but expect the country to give you everything, then don’t move.
If you’re going to be insulated, isolated and mistrustful and say “I’m only going there to work” then don’t go for that either because you don’t ONLY work in a country. That never happens. You do talk to people whether or not you like it. Don’t go if you’re mistrustful, bigoted, intolerant and cannot accept diversity. Stay where you are.

You can sort of tell what are stolen goods. I am Chinese-American, so I'm aware of the street vendors in Flushing Queens. In the old days, there were bunch of old ladies and older men selling like generic goods such as umbrella, socks, etc for like $5 or less. These are often no brand products that you can frequently get online at similar price off ebay and aliexpress. These goods are just cheap goods, unlikely stolen goods. Cops never bother them either, because it's just most $2 and under cheap stuff. Now it's a different story when you see like hundreds of dove bodywash, colgates, branded power tools, etc. It's like you see target, walmart, home depot, macy, etc, all blended together. This is very suspicious for sure.
