      You should check out last year's event, if you have a chance. Or Dominion 6.11. Absolutely unreal, NJPW is on possibly the hottest streak any wrestling company has ever been on, certainly in terms of in-ring work.

      leerobbo92 I think I will check them out. Even the general atmosphere/feel of njpw is great, especially with myself being a big fan of Japanese culture. I’ve made a point of subscribing to support their growth. Here’s hoping they keep on the up and up.

      Stephen Divers I can't recommend them enough. WK11 has the greatest run of main event matches of any major show ever, and Dominion is the highest rated show on ProFightDB by some distance. You couldn't have picked a better time to get involved though, I'm sure this year will be just as good as the last few!

    • @stevied3121

      Stephen Divers Dominion is VERY special, and the last match actually makes more sense once you watch WK11 funnily enough. The G1 tournament was excellent this year as well. I'd say in the last 3-4 years every single PPV has been good or better, they're all worth watching IMO. Dominion was probably the best though, admittedly!

Look at a city like Detroit, where only a few years ago, they compiled the stats from 20-something inner-city high schools and there was only 1 student who was reading above a 4th grade level. I am not exaggerating. Even the president of the school board for Detroit public schools was completely illiterate. It made the news in all of North America.

    My opinion is that Bill Demott was a bitter old prick. He never amounted to anything. Was always the guy putting other guys over. I dont understand why WWE hires guys to teach other people that have never been successful in the business. What is some jobber who never competed in the main event going to teach someone about being successful? If you ask the talent, it's usually these jobber/nobody guys that everybody has a problem with as agents or trainers.

    • @Doc92IDH
      @Doc92IDH 7 років тому +8

      To be fair, their current trainers seem to be top notch, and hardly any of them were main eventers. The likes of Shawn Michaels, Steve Corino and to a lesser extent Matt Bloom were pretty successful, but they've also got guys who achieved "less" than de Mott, like Robbie Brookside (who's a British wrestling legend and who guys like Regal credit their career to), Sara Del Rey (one of the best women's wrestlers in the world at one point), and Johnny Moss (who never made it out of England, but was widely regarded as one of the best wrestlers around and who's wrestling schools have produced guys like Finn Balor). They're doing a great job too: the women certainly improved massively after Del Rey arrived, while a lot of guys have been improving much quicker than anyone expected (I'm thinking the likes of Strowman and Rawley), and I don't think that's a coincidence.
      I think it's less about what they achieved, and more about what they know. de Mott clearly had a chip on his shoulder and knew very little about physical training, by all accounts.

      People like Disco and Cornette's whole shtick is milking the outrage of the disgruntled middle aged lapsed fans who hate anything & everything after Turner bought out Crockett. Even a mental image of Disco Inferno telling Kenny Omega "bro you're soft" is laughable to me. Disco still won't be able to tie Omega's shoelaces if he died and was reborn 9 times over.

      @SDG.12 5 років тому +18

      @@michaelkpate There's absolutely nothing wrong in liking both types of wrestling, or having a preference of one over the other, like most of us do. It's really when these old-school experts act like there's objective truths in a subjective art form, that they can delegitimize the wrestling they don't like, even though millions of other do. Some people think Nick Aldis vs Tim Storm is the defintion of what wrestling should be, others think Ricochet vs Will Osprey is the greatest thing ever. There's really no right or wrong here, just let people enjoy whatever they wanna watch instead of trying to dictate taste. All art forms evolve.

      There are some Jobbers in NJPW and minor talents, just think about the young lions or guys that always get pinned like Chase Owens. But even that guys get their spotlight and a proper amount of respect from time to time.
      And another thing I love about NJPW is that the storylines make actually sense. Ok, sometimes it's repetitive when it comes to title matches, but it serves a purpose. There would never happen something like what happened in this weeks Raw episode, when Roman Reigns just decided to get a Title-Shot. Or that exact these 4 women come out and demand a title-shot that got eliminated one night before, instead of sole survivor Asuka.

    Kenny is VERY well spoken. And i agree with him on Bill's training style. It really comes down to "morale" and your not boosting self-confidence in green talent. By putting them down and trying to prove themselves by getting injured. Quite frankly i'm glad he's gone he should have never been head trainer.

      Norman Smiley, Al Snow, and Lance Storm. None of them were really main eventers, but they're all great trainers. Knowledge about the sport of pro wrestling isn't about where you are on the card. I think Bill got it because he was reliable and was willing to do it.

The reason TNA really started tanking when Hulk Hogan came on board was that he immediately brought in his buddies who like him were so banged up they shouldn't have been anywhere near a wrestling ring and the home grown young TNA wresters were pushed to the back of the bus.
