Same! I was 11 and didn't know that there were black Britons. So when I saw her, she was my favorite and Sporty because I was tomboy and athletic. I love all the Spice Girls, but Scary and Sporty are my favorite.
My sister is mixed race from my mother's first marriage, to see her finally have an afro haired role model was amazing. Suddenly everyone wanted her hair!
