Another useful tip: you can press LS+RS to place a flag and then hold LT+move RS to quickly go to that flag - you do not need to even open a minimap to cycle through them or create them. Great video.

I've never really played these type of games before and I needed this. I've played for about 8 hours and never even realized I could hold A to circle a group, let alone half of the other stuff covered here
I haven't been able to hop in yet but i know in Aoe2 you could also put buildings into control groups, so you put like 8 stables and you can select them all and start producing units all at once, looks like you can do it here too
But in this case you can simply press LB to select all stables from the radial menu that shows up through quick find. It makes the need for control groups with buildings less important! :)
Really loving the game so far, controller isn’t too bad once you get used to the controls and figuring out the “hot keys”. Only downside so far is the lack of Civilizations, especially coming from AOE2 and having like 30 to choose from. However the more prominent variety and differences between the civilizations is much more noticeable
I wish these controller bindings were available for the PC version! I tried to create my own in Steam layout, but this looks much better, especially with the in-game interface telling you which controller buttons do what.

Hi! I can't find a way to select units within a group. Example: if I hold LT+down, I'll select all cavalry units; but then I can't find a way to select my horse archers within that big group where there are also knights. On PC, you can simply tab through the unit icons; but I can't find a way to do that on controller. Do you know a way? By the way, it seems like there's a bug when you press LT+up to select all melee units: your cavalry units are also selected, which adds to the problem. Thanks a lot for the video!

How do you open the tribute panel to buy settlements in the Moscow campaign? I can open it to send tribute to the Mongols, but there's nothing listed about buying settlements. I've seen streamers do this on PC by using the tribute panel, but theirs have a lot more information.

Kids, do yourself a favour and hook up the most basic keyboard&mouse to your xbox. Don't be shy, it won't bite and you'll get tenfold better experience. There nobody and nothing holding you back.

I could be mistaken but I don't think they auto built the drop off points like lumber camps in AoE 2 either. You still had to do that manually.
