That was an epic night. Half way through the gig, Wayne decided to ignore the set list and chucked an extra five songs in the middle. Lineup was so tight by this stage of the German tour (I saw most of it) that it just flowed perfectly. That German tour was probably my favourite out of 80+ Mission gigs.
22 years seems like the blink of an eye. I have been a fan since the band's inception and they have never given me reason to alter my loyalties. No matter who was playing guitar next to Wayne, the intangiable essence of The Mission always came through and that is a testimony to the vision and leadership of Wayne Hussey who has been the one constant. Much respect to the band here as this is truly one of the best live performances I have seen, period! Well done gentlemen, well done.
i've seen them at this time in paris...fantastic with Marc Geminy Twaite on guitar..the best guitarist of gothic rock...now he is with Peter Murphy...he is a monster...!!!!
Mark is my fav too. Seen him with the Mish 1 out of the 4 times in NYC. I read just last week Peter will doing a residence all month in NYC thepreludepress.com/news/2019/6/14/peter-murphy-announces-nyc-residency-for-august-2019?format=amp Would you know the guitar make Mark is playing.
The guitar is made by Schecter Guitar Research and the model appears to be a custom TS/H (Tempest Semi- Hollow) with 3 pickups, tremelo tailpiece and a different separate control cavity for the electronics and pickguard.
thanks for sharing this great song from the underrated album BLUE, not enough performed lived ! Listen to the awesome song from this album : "Coming Home", That tears Shall Drown The Wind...""Black and Blue", "Bang GAng", "Alpha Man", "Cannibal" and, last but not least Evermore and Again. Maybe not the best one from The Mission but must it be listen!
@AdamCoffin, Dose'nt really matter who's on guitar, the mission always shine, each guitarist brings different elements to the band. As anyone who saw them on their farewell tour will testify, the mission have actually improved from when they used to fill stadiums, truely one of the best live bands ever. Looking forward to the 2011 tour with most of the original line up.
Rest in Peace Steve, Never Forgotten🖤
