For me it's my spiritual home having gone for family hols back in the 60's and early 70's. North Yorkshire is my favourite county and retirement destination! 😃
The Beaches Bed and Breakfast is a lovely welcoming place to stay in Scarborough, such generous host. My husband and I go every year to Scarborough for his birthday for a relaxing mini vacation ❤
You’ve bought back lots of fabulous memories from living in Scarborough in 1980/81 when working as a Redcoat at the Grand Hotel. Its hasn’t seemed to have changed much, still a lovely town by the looks of it! ❤️ Thank you great video 👏
I’ve been going to Scarborough from a very young age. I’ll admit that a lot of the shops have shut down which is pretty annoying, but there’s still a lot to see and do. There’s a nice Italian restaurant I love dining at, there are a few good shops, the views and architecture are nice, and there’s the swimming baths (which I’m worried might be closing down. I hope it doesn’t close but I’m glad I got to go at least once).
Thank you so much for a wonderful walk down memory lane, one of my favourite seaside places & you managed to capture the magic ! looking forward to seeing more of your superb filming now I have discovered your channel. The Big Wheel was a surprise for me, hopefully it’s lit up at night😊
Hi I just came to live in scarborough just before Christmas. Yes it's a stunning town, although I haven't seen much yet, but I certainly intend to. I'm on the north side near the castle. Anything interesting this side. 😂obviously the castle. Thanks for sharing it was wonderful, ive got a lot to see.
I spent several weeks in Scarborough with a friend many years ago. I liked the city very much. We walked the Cleveland way further north in summer and I still have the best memories. I really enjoyed staying in Scarborough. I am from Germany and I wish I owned a house somewhere in the countryside of Yorkshire. Best would be on the seaside with a small pub to relax there. On our walk we found several of those. And yes, Scarborough would be fine although it seems it is also a bit busy sometimes. 🙂 Brilliant video, thank you so much. :-)
I'm 15 and a half nearly 16 years old and honestly, I'm in love with this place! I am thinking about moving here to live at some point next year when I'm 16 and a half so yeah thank you for this video I love it!
I went on the cliff railway ride earlier this year with my parents , sister, brother in law and niece, I remember in the 90s, my parents used to take me and my sister every day on this, but it was only 20p for kids
Certainly the best one in the north. We had several family holidays in Scarborough in the late '60s/early '70s. Then I went on my own twice on my motorbike, the first time stopping in a bedsit for one week at 7 GB pounds.
My anty and her family live there we went to Rosa for holidays no hotels to pay she tuck care of us she gone now God bless her and little Toby the dog lovely holidays in Scarborough ❤
Would you be able to do a video in a town called Loughborough because I can't find many videos of Loughborough and it has a market Thursday and Saturday.
looks great i must go there and check it out whats parking like have they got those stupid dodgy cameras everywhere that screw you and fine you even if you just turn around in a place lol.
He has in previous videos I'm sure he has. Might be worth spending some time having a good look through his other Scarborough videos as they're just great 👍
England is Beautiful and Historic, Scarborough seems like a very walkable city, only thing that I didn't care for by viewing is that it was the middle of July and most were wearing jackets sweaters etc that part seemed sad to me, other than that I like it very much.
Iv lived in Scarborough all my life, there is nothing left the council have ruined it. We used to have kinderland, Mr marvels, atlantis and much more the 90s were amazing here, now we jst have a new waterpark that's average and costs bout 100 quid for the family for 4 hrs. Everything else is gone
That’s sad to hear 😕 I’ve been seriously thinking of moving to Scarborough but I’ve become aware of the area as favouring tourists more than residents 😕
You'd love it you really would. If you're planning on staying over I highly recommend the premier inn the one that is a stones throw from all the shops and the beach. Hotels to avoid I'd say without a doubt St Nicholas Hotel/Travelodge unless you want to get bitten to hell by fleas, shocking quality rooms in there. 2 much better Hotels are Palm Court (it has a swimmimg pool) which is over the road from premier inn or Crown Spa which is another lovely hotel that also has a swimming pool but it's not cheap, even 10 years ago a round of drinks which consisted of two double baileys and 2 half a Lemonade's and the price was shocking, no change out of £20 let's put it that way, I had to pay around £22 just for those drinks so I'd highly recommend going into town, having some drinks there and save yourself a small fortune 😀
I think you should visit Bury St Edmunds! It’s a great market town in Suffolk with a lot of history! Abbey Gardens is especially beautiful. Abbey gate Street is also a very good shopping street and then there’s the lively market and the Arc Shopping Centre. Bury St Edmunds actually has quite a few independent shops. It’s worth a visit!
Load of nonsense that, don't believe everything you read, I'd say to everyone, go and visit these so called worst places and make your own minds up. Scarborough is an excellent place to visit in my opinion
Scarborough is fantastic used to holiday every year for a week with my parents, and sister in the same guest house , which was on Alma Square, two or three up from where the pub is on Weatherspoons is, guest house no longer there been here twice since in 2021 and 2023 for a few days, plenty to do, and very near Whitby , enjoyed the bus trip

i am lucky i live an hour away so it is always my first option to go to the beach and then bridlington which is closer to me but scarborough is the best i love it and it is home of the popular show the royal which was filmed their the hospital is still their and looks exactly the same
Brilliant Town but please do not, do not, do not use Beachcomber Bus’s, it’s an independent company and if you do use them pay with the EXACT cost of the fare, don’t even consider paying with £10 or £20 note👌🧐😉😢
Why do you say not to use beachcomber buses? I'm just curious as that's a big statement to come out with and I'd like to know your reasoning for saying that and why not to pay with £10 or £20 notes

Love Scarbough we stay up the North bay we will be back again this August Thanks for the video 🎉
Yes same here - I’m staying there in a couple of weeks 😊
I lived here for a short while , and I found it to be an interesting little town that was great for walking around !
For me, probably be in Devon, Dorset or Cornwall some of those areas have more of a tropical feel to them imo.
I haven't yet done Cornwall (it's on my bucket list), but I luv ❤ Dorset & Devon.
Love Scarborough so much. We went on family holidays every year and my sister and I spent a summer working at the Grand and the Royal Hotels ❤
I'm coming to Scarborough next week for a few days. Been many times and I always look forward to going back I absolutely love it.
Have a great time
