I recently got the craftsman 25 cm 8.0 amp electric polesaw. I only needed it for trimming a couple of trees in my yard. The saw seems a bit heavy so I definitely won't be climbing up a ladder. Thanks for your video review it really helped.
This looks a lot like my old Remington Pole Saw. I will be buying this one. Man, that looks just like my Remington. That Remington would cut through anything as long as that chain was sharp. Great video, buddy. 👍
What pole saw is there that is NOT "unwieldy" when fully extended? BTW, the weight works to your advantage when sawing thicker branches up high. The weight of the saw is the only thing putting pressure on the cut. it's all you have going for you then
Well this one is much more "wieldy". 3 pounds lighter (about 30%) is a big difference at the end of a pole. The ones that don't have a removable chainsaw are almost all that much lighter. amzn.to/3rAW8ft
I haven't used it enough since then to sharpen it, as I have several chainsaws of various kinds. I would just sharpen it with a chainsaw file like I do my others.
It's specifically made for chainsaw bars and chains. It can be found in the outdoor tool/chainsaw section of most relevant big box stores. Or at your local hardware store.
I try not to baby things when I test them. Keeping them in too favorable of circumstances is unrealistic for the average user. In fact, I basically destroyed the chain on the mini cordless chainsaw I recently reviewed.
Hope u got paid well for this video. The main reason one will buy this tool is to cut tree limbs and you systematically diverted showing cuts close-up! Why? Because the cuts are unsightly and most people would not buy this tool. My take: 1) using the extension pole you can not see where you're cutting (impossible to accurately differentiate among adjacent limbs when you want to cut only one). 2) This tool does a HORRIBLE job on cutting small diameter limbs - it chews them (no clean cut) and thus you may injure the tree (which I did and ended up with deseases on my Magnolia tree) 3) You better have a superman's strength to use it with the pole as it is not easy [Yes you mentioned that on the video!; I also knew/imagined that it would not be easy to use]. Thanks for the commercial dude!
I am sold on Worx. Great name for them & all the products I have used for YEARS. Not one has given up or broken on me.
Very helpful! I’ve had this for six months just took it out of the box, your vid gave a good lesson and a bit of confidence!
thank you.! will keep the weight issue in mind when using as a pole saw.

Don't forget to keep the chain out of the dirt as much as possible to prevent dulling
Thanks for the tips. I was able to use my saw very easily after watching your video.
Cut down a good size tree, worked great. It has a lot of power. Pretty top heavy was the only complaint , would have sent pictures but couldn’t
For REALLY high branch triming, get a manual silky hyauchi pole saw, it will zip through those quickly, and it's light enough to handle.

I need one for the same issues. Squirrels. Lawn guy quoted me $500, so im getting this saw and just going to pray I don't fall off the ladder.
Good video.
I just got the same chainsaw. Can you use canola oil instead of bar oil?
No.
About to pick up mine tomorrow
Bar oil for saw sold separately. Any recommendation?
Thanks for sharing. I just got one but havent cracked the box yet. Have you had to sharpen it yet? If so how did you go about doing it? Thanks again

“So you can’t really mess it up”
…challenge accepted
What is bar oil? I have had this saw over three years and am needing to use it now. Can the oil used in lawn mowers the same oil?

Parts are easily available?
Thanks for the video..
Chain got loose , make a video fixing it
Thanks for the info!
I just bought one, but the chain can't stay on
I got it for the exact same reason lol
How is this a review, no mention of weight of saw or any quirks the saw might have?
Around the 4min mark he talks about that stuff that you mentioned....run the video again.
Cutting into the ground and then through nails.. you might as well just throw that chain away now.
