    Thanks! I used a long zip tie to clean mine out and it worked great!

    What was your problem? I keep mine on a small towel, and recently the towel is always soaked! Other than that, it still brews fine.

    Thank you for posting this video and giving me a chance to save my morning joe!! I think toughest part of whole taking apart for me was those rubber hoses, boy they were on real good and tight. The struggle is real but worth the cup of joe. Thanks Again

    He said, "a piece of coat hanger, that I ended up putting on the end of a drill."
    That alone got a like and subscribe from me buddy! I like your gumption. I always keep a variety of flexible wire tube brushes in hand. I'm constantly finding myself using them to clean tons of stuff.

    Hey... I'm glad you could get your machine working again. Probably saved you at least 40.00...but I've got a question: the two screws I've got at the bottom of my Mr Coffee unit are "Y" shaped...not a Phillips bit... (more than likely to avoid owners from fixing their own stuff!?) and wondered if yours were the same? I'm thinking NOT since I noticed the ease with which you were able to get the screw out...anyway... just asking. Model# of mine is BVMC-KNX23 for anyone else who may have a similar sitch

      No I did not have that type of screws but you can get set from amazon very cheep. amzn.to/2VQA5Po Thanks for watching.

      These kinds of repairs are extremely dangerous for most people to perform correctly. Anyone who cannot figure out how to obtain the correct bit to remove the screw shouldn't pretend to be able to repair the device. Thermal switches are life savers and Mr Coffee doesn't want to be sued by your heirs.

    Thanks for the video. I'll try to clean the U (that metal U-shaped thing; element?). I've tried everything else. I would have thought that vinegar or actual coffee maker cleaner would have cleared out the U but I guess it was beyond that stage.

    Saw another video where the guy cleaned the white tubes. He didn't show the cleaning of the heating element. Which was the best tool for cleaning the curvy heating element?

    What exactly are you repairing in this video? A coffee maker leaking water onto the counter? A slow coffee maker?

      I think that the element is burned out, that would be my first guess.

    humm, must have replaced the screws with normal screw. they always use those damn security screws and need at least 4 inch narrow security drive.

    • @channelron3593
      @channelron3593  5 років тому

      Ya they are not build in a way for us to work on easily, thanks for watching.

      @@channelron3593 No sir they are not. you should see how bad/difficult Cuisinart coffee maker is and it doesn't even have a normal ceramic thermostat like all other machines on the planet.

      The screws in my pot are "Y" shaped...I worked at a specialty fastener company...we carried all manner of oddities and even I've not seen a "Y" shaped screw head before.

    • @gabriellenojaim261
      @gabriellenojaim261 4 роки тому

      Bet if I AM able to get those "Y" shaped
      screws out I'll be replacing them with Phillips drives!

      @@WV591 I gave up trying to get screws off. I just ordered a Hamilton Beach, from Amaz, in the $30's. I love it! Coffee just tastes different. I buy flavored, and I can taste every ingredient! Idk why; same water, same coffee...
